National currencyThe official currency in Romania is

 leu (Romanian leu). The name (homonymous with the name of animal lion) comes from 

Löwentaler (which had the figure of a lion on the reverse), silver coin circulated in

the Netherlands from the sixteenth century, then became the currency of assessment. The subdivision of leu is ban (plural: bani), 1 leu = 100 bani. Since 1991, inflation has practically

removed from use this subdivision of leu.

Romanian languageRomanian is a Romance language spoken by around 24 million people as a native language, primarily in Romania  and  Moldova and by another 4 million people as a second language.[t has official status in Romania, Republic of Moldova and in Autonomous Province of Voivodina  in  Serbia. Romanian speakers are scattered across many other countries, notably : Italy,  Spain, Ukraine, Bulgaria, the United States, Canada, Israel, Russia, Portugal, the United Kingdom, France and Germany.

Romanian cuisineRomanian cuisine is a diverse blend of

different dishes from several traditions with which it has come into contact, but it also maintains its own character. It has been greatly influenced by Ottoman cuisine, while it also includes influences from the cuisines of other neighbours, such as Germans, Serbs, Bulgarians and Hungarians.
