Catalog Heaven is a place made by Seranok, who created it on May 10th 2010.Since then it has reached an outrageous amount of fame and has gotten 10

million visits in 2 years! Catalog Heaven is a place where you can test out gear,battle enemies and friends alike, or just chill with your friends. Catalog Heavenhas 2 different maps, each with a unique design. In Catalog heaven you spawnin a FF room in the sky and there you can equip your gear and test your gear ona dummy and no one can get in unless you press the GUI at the top left to open

your Force Field room. Then you can battle on the ground with your friend!Catalog Heaven is a very cool game and I give it a 9/10 because of just how

unique and one of a kind it is. Seranok turned a usually free modeled newbieplace into a highly scripted, detailed map. I also like it because you can test anygear out there in a GUI. It's just so up to date, so active, and Seranok did a great

job on making this and I would highly recommend playing this game.

This isn’t your classic Cops and Robbers game. In Trouble in Roblox Town byMayhem, there are three teams: Detectives, Traitors and Innocent. Detectiveshave to try to find out who the Traitors are and kill them before they can kill the

innocent. Crawl through sewers, hide in subways and much more to try tosurvive. Not only that, each team has access to a variety of weapons, such as

snipers, shotguns, and even a ray gun. So watch your back, don’t trust anybody,and help eliminate the trouble in Roblox Town! I give this game 8 out of 10, dueto the karma system, but besides that, this is one of the best games on Roblox!

Robux to TradesAs of December 6th, ROBLOX added a new feature to trades: Robux. To addRobux to a trade, simply type in the amount of Robux you want into the box

below the trades.Sadly, there is a 30% market fee, so some Robux will be lost during the trade.

Other than that, it’s a wonderful feature to trading.

In Game GUI Updates

With the new ROBLOX iPad Application released, ROBLOX has updated a lot ofthe user interfaces inside the game. The most noticeable update is the

backpack UI.

The backpack now has a button that opens/closes the backpack. This allowsyou to choose different gears/tools to be placed in your toolbar. The toolbar has

also been updated, with the buttons for the gears being much closer andlarger. According to a ROBLOX Blog post, this was done because it was difficult

to switch gears quickly on the mobile device.

The chat has also been updated. The chat now has a fading effect whensomeone speaks. The text also is a bit clearer to read.



Stop the CopyingHave you ever thought to yourself that you're hurting someone when you copytheir game? I was looking through the game page, and it was saddening seeingall the copied and stolen games. And when I say copied or stolen, I mean thegame was hacked to be copied onto someone else's profile. Now if a game isplay solo and you take it, that's fine, but if you have to hack to get a game, that's

not fine.First off, hacking by itself is bad, but using it to take someone else's hard work

is even worse. When you steal someones game, they will most likely losevisits, get theirs claimed as copied and the copied one claimed as the real one,and in the end just shut down. This also counts for ads. It may just be as easyas clicking save as, but you're stealing someone's work that they spent time on

making.People shouldn't have to put their username on an ad just to make sure no onesteals it. How would you like it if someone stole your ad? Please support stop

the copying today!

What are you most known for on ROBLOX?I am most known for building now. So far my most Famous place has beenSerene Mill. It's the first "realistic environment" place that I've made. Once Imade it, I decided to try to get into the building community on ROBLOX withgroups such as the EBR. From there on, I've just been known to build very

detailed games.

What is your favorite thing to do on ROBLOX?Well of course as a builder, my favorite activity is to build on ROBLOX. I love

building because it allows for your imagination to be set free and it is a hobby inmy opinion. It helps me learn more about graphic development/manipulation. A

possible job occupation that I might like to try to get into.

What is your favorite game on ROBLOX?Honestly, I have two tied for being my favorite. I love Daxter33's Paintball! andFinwei's place entitled Countryside. I love playing Daxter33's game because I

like how at moments, the action can climax and recede so quickly. It's a fun FPS.Finwei's Countryside however, is an exemplary build. Finwei put a lot of effortinto the game to get many details in. His place impresses me a great deal.

How did you hear about ROBLOX?I first learned about it in 2008 (yes the recent Blog post said 2010, but I actuallyjoined in 2008, thus the teakettle hat being proof in my inventory). I heard aboutROBLOX through an advertisement. I had seen it and thought I would sign up

and try it out. When I saw that the game was packed with infinite ways to createa game, I was hooked.

What is your biggest goal on ROBLOX?My biggest goal on ROBLOX is to hit 5 million place visits some day. As ROBLOXupdates their engine and program, I will normally be right behind them updatingmy games to display new ideas or inspiring graphics with amazing views. This

fuels my ambitions to reach my goal.

On average, how long does it normally take to create your highly detailedplaces?

There is no real average as some places may take months or others simplyweeks. On average I usually turn out an entirely new place in 4 months. Thisincludes breaks and updating/working on other projects at the same time. To

give a perspective: The [Intern Rail] GE ES44DC Evolution Maverick model I made,took a month.

Do you plan on reading RoGo every other week?

Possibly. I'm not a current reader or subscriber but I have heard of RoGo awhile back. I may start reading though. The magazine seems quite

interesting.

Do you have anything else to say to the readers of RoGo?Be original. If you are a playable game designer or just a simple builder,being original is a great way to earn respect. Getting feedback from your

fellow friends and setting goals helps a ton as well. Have fun fellowrobloxians.



Welcome to the first ever, “Building a Better Community, One Brick at a Time!”So, what is the purpose of this section? Here at RoGo, we want to find ways toimprove the quality of ROBLOX and it’s community. This section might just bethe perfect way to do it. Each week, ideas, ways, and solutions to problems

would be brought up and solved!

Our first topic for this section is going to be the correct way to “display” yourgame. Games are an important part of ROBLOX, right next to building. However,many of you know or have realized that the quality of these games are goingdown. We would like to address this issue and hopefully put an end to this.

Ever since (and even before) ROBLOX released the galley feature for games,people publicize their games as an image. We are not saying this is a bad thing,but when a user uploads multiple images having nothing to do with the game,and alternates through them, it sends the game quality down the chart. Havingimages that are actually from ROBLOX would be another plus. There are so

many games these days that just have images from TV shows or other videogames as their thumbnail. It’s unpleasing to see a game featuring combat and itturns out to be a tycoon about turtles (not saying turtle tycoons are low quality.)

Take Seranok’s “Catalog Heaven” for an example. He features the most recenthats and gears in his thumbnail, showing that his place is updated. It’s a perfect

way to draw players in.

So, what are some ways you can improve this problem? You can use imagesdirectly from your game, feature your game’s newest updates as your

thumbnail, or if you have a logo, just use that! If you want to get a bit moreadvanced, and you have the money, use the video option. Record thirty secondsof your game and feature that. There are so many alternatives than random

images!
