Book of Heaven - April 12 A.D. 1928Analogy between Eden and Calvary. A kingdom cannot be formed with one act alone. Necessity of the death andResurrection of Our Lord.I was doing my round in the Divine Fiat, and was accompanying my sweet Jesus in the pains of His Passion and followingHim to Calvary. My poor mind paused to think about the harrowing pains of Jesus on the Cross; and He, moving in myinterior, told me: “My daughter, Calvary is the new Eden in which mankind was given back what it lost bywithdrawing from my Will. Analogy between Calvary and Eden: in Eden man lost grace, on Calvary he acquires it; inEden, Heaven was closed to him, he lost his happiness and rendered himself the slave of the infernal enemy; here inthe new Eden, Heaven is opened to him once again, he reacquires the lost peace and happiness, the devil is chained, and man is freed from his slavery. In Eden, the Sun of the Divine Fiat darkened and withdrew, and it became alwaysnighttime for man – symbolized by the sun which withdrew from the face of the earth during the three hours of myterrible agony on the Cross. Unable to sustain the torment of His Creator - caused by the human will which, with greatperfidy, had reduced my Humanity to that state – horrified, the sun withdrew, and as I breathed my last, it reappearedagain and continued its course of light. In the same way, the Sun of my Fiat, my pains, my death, called back the newSun of my Will to reign in the midst of creatures once again.

So, Calvary formed the dawn that called the Sun of my Eternal Will to shine again in the midst of creatures. Dawnmeans certainty that the sun will come out; in the same way, the dawn which I formed on Calvary assures, even thoughabout two thousand years have passed, that it will call the Sun of my Will to reign once again in the midst of creatures. In Eden, my love was defeated by them; here it triumphs and conquers the creature. In the first Eden man receives thecondemnation to death of soul and body; while in the second Eden he is released from his condemnation and theresurrection of the body is reconfirmed through the resurrection of my Humanity. There are many relations betweenEden and Calvary, and what man lost there, here he reacquires. In the kingdom of my pains everything is given back, and the honor and the glory of the poor creature is reconfirmed by means of my pains and of my death.

By withdrawing from my Will, man formed the kingdom of his evils, of his weaknesses, passions and miseries; and Iwanted to come upon earth, I wanted to suffer greatly, I permitted that my Humanity be lacerated, Its flesh torn topieces, all full of wounds. And I wanted even to die in order to form, by means of my many pains and of my death, thekingdom opposite to the many evils that the creature had formed for herself. A kingdom cannot be formed with one actalone, but with many upon many acts; and the more the acts, the greater and more glorious the kingdom becomes. Therefore, my death was necessary to my love; with my death I was to give the kiss of life to creatures, and from mymany wounds I was to let all goods out, in order to form the kingdom of goods for creatures. So, my wounds aresprings which gush with goods, and my death is spring from which life for all gushes forth.

And just as my death was necessary, so was my Resurrection necessary to my love, because by doing his will, man lostthe life of my Will, and I wanted to rise again to form not only the resurrection of the body, but the resurrection of thelife of my Will in it. Had I not risen again, the creature could not have risen once again in my Fiat; she would havelacked the virtue - the bond of her resurrection in Mine, and therefore my love would have felt incomplete. It wouldhave felt it could do more but was not doing it, and so I would have remained with the hard martyrdom of a love that isnot complete. If then ungrateful man does not make use of all I have done, the evil is all his own, but my lovepossesses and enjoys its full triumph.”

April 7, A.D. 2017 – The Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin MaryCalendar for the Traditional Roman Rite

There are two days we commemorate the dry martrydom of Our Lady --- September 15 and April 7. The Mass focuses onher compassion and what she suffered during the first Passiontide. To that end, the Sequence read after the Epistle,Gradual, and Tract consists of the haunting Stabat Mater, the text of which was written by St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Seven Sorrows of Our Lady are:

The Prophecy of SimeonThe Flight into EgyptThe Loss of Jesus in the TempleThe Meeting of Jesus and Mary on the Way of the CrossThe CrucifixionThe Taking Down of the Body of Jesus from the CrossJesus laid in the Tomb

The purpose of the Devotion of the Seven Sorrows is to promote union with the sufferings of Christ through union withthe special suffering that Our Lady endured because she was the Mother of God. By uniting ourselves with both thePassion of Christ and His holy Mother, we enter into Jesus' Heart and honor Him greatly; He is more honored because wehave so honored His Mother.

The Seven Dolors are taken from Scripture events and the devotion has a long history, although it was not officiallypromulgated by the Church until the early nineteenth century. Before Pope Pius VII's formal approval, the Servite Orderhad permission in 1668 to celebrate the Feast of the Seven Dolors because the Order was instrumental in popularizing theSeven Sorrows Devotion.

In the Middle Ages, Catholic theology concentrated mostly on Christ's Passion; at the side of the Man of Sorrows, however, the faithful always contemplated the Queen of Martyrs. Devotion to the Crucified Christ and to Our Lady ofsorrows grew side by side. On Calvary there were in a sense two altars, one in the Body of Jesus, and the other in theImmaculate Heart. Christ immolated His flesh, Mary, her heart, her own soul. On September 15, the day following theancient feast of the Holy Cross, the Church commemorates the compassion of Mary; but it is fitting during the year, especially during Lent, to honor the Sorrows of Mary.

Mary is not mentioned in the Gospel accounts of Christ's Transfiguration, His entry into Jerusalem, but she is recorded asbeing present at Calvary. She understood what the Will of God was and was faithful, co-operating with her Son as Co-redemptrix. She had prepared the victim for sacrifice and now she offered Him on the altar of Calvary.

The Gospel, John 19:25, says: "Near the Cross of Jesus stood His mother, his mother's sister, Mary, the wife ofCleopas, and Mary Magdalene." At Christ's bequest, Mary was proclaimed the universal Mother of mankind from theCross.

Mary had three loves in her Immaculate Heart: God, her Son, and souls. She so loved the world that she gave her onlySon. As St. Bernard said, "The sword would not have reached Jesus if it had not pierced Mary's heart." Mary loved soulsand on Calvary, after suffering such cruel torments she merited being the mother of all mankind.

Mary is the Apostle because she is Co-redemptrix: Behold Mary on Calvary, she suffers and prays; she stands, as oneoffering sacrifice.

St. Ambrose said, "I read that she stood, but I do not read that she wept." When Mary gave us her Son, she gave useverything. Therefore it can very well be said: "Behold this heart which has so greatly loved all people that it has sparednothing for them."

The Seven Graces of this Devotion

1. I will grant peace to their families.2.They will be enlightened about the Divine mysteries.3. I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the

sanctification of their souls.5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.

6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their Mother.7. I have obtained this Grace from my Divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be

taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be theireternal consolation and joy.

Benefits of the Devotion to the Mother of Sorrows

1. To realize the value of a soul, worth the supreme Sacrifice on Calvary.2. To work for souls, by evangelization, duty to life's duties, and prayer for sinners.3. To pray always, in a life of union with God; whoever has a heart similar to Jesus' and Mary's hearts, will work for thesalvation of souls.

When we commit sin we bring sorrow to Our Lady, for she is, indeedour very Mother, our spiritual Mother, and she watches overus as she watched over her Baby, nearly two thousand years ago.

It is the desire of Jesus that we should think of His Passion, to offer Himour devotion and to renew our sorrow for sin. It is also His desire,as the Church makes clear to us, that we should think of thecompassion of Mary in His Passion.

The Mass for the Feast of the Seven Dolors includes the traditional hymn, the Stabat Mater, which is traditionallyincluded by verses in the 14 Stations of the Cross. St. Bonaventure is considered the author of the Hymn.

April 14, A.D. 2017 – Good FridayCalendar for the Traditional Roman Rite

April 20, 1938How Jesus on the cross still cries to every heart: “I thirst!”. How the true Resurrection consists in rising inthe Divine Will. How nothing is denied to one who lives in It.

My flight in the Divine Will continues, and I feel the need to make all that It has done my own, placingthere my little love, my affectionate kisses, my profound adorations, and my ‘thank you’ for everything It didand suffered, for me and for all. As I reached the point at which my dear Jesus was crucified and lifted on thecross amid atrocious agonies and unspeakable pains, with heartbreaking tenderness and compassion, He toldme: “My good daughter, the pain that most pierced Me on the cross was my ardent thirst. I felt I wasburning alive; all the vital humors had gone out through my wounds which, like many mouths, were burningand wanted to quench their ardent thirst; so much so, that unable to contain Myself, I cried out: ‘I thirst!’This ‘I thirst’ remained and is always in the act of saying: ‘I thirst’. I never stop saying it; with my openwounds, with my parched lips, I am always repeating: ‘I am burning, I thirst! O please, give Me a little dropof your love to give a little refreshment to my ardent thirst.’

So, in everything the creature does, I keep repeating with my mouth opened and burned: ‘Let Medrink, I am burning of thirst.’ My dislocated and wounded Humanity had only one cry: ‘I thirst!’;therefore, as the creature walks, I cry out to her steps with my parched mouth: ‘Give Me your steps, done forlove of Me, to quench my thirst.’ If she works, I ask for her works, done only for love of Me, as refreshmentfor my ardent thirst; if she speaks, I ask for her words; if she thinks, I ask for her thoughts - like many littledrops of love to refresh my ardent thirst. It was not just my mouth that was burning, but all of my Most HolyHumanity felt the extreme need of a refreshing bath for the ardent fire of love that burned Me; and since itwas for the creatures that I was burning in excruciating pains, only creatures, with their love, could quenchmy ardent thirst and give a refreshing bath to my Humanity.

Now, I left this cry - ‘I thirst!’- inside my Will, and I made the commitment to make creatures hear itin every instant, to move them to compassion for my ardent thirst; to give them my bath of love and receivetheirs, be it even just little drops, as refreshment for the thirst that devours Me. But who listens to Me? Whohas compassion for Me? Only one who lives in my Will. All the others play deaf, and maybe increase mythirst with their ingratitude, making Me restless and with no hope of refreshment. And not only my ‘I thirst’,but all that I did and said in my Will, is always in the act of saying to my sorrowful Mother: ‘Mother, beholdyour children’; and I place Her at their side as help and guide, to be loved by Her children. Every instantShe feels She is being placed at the side of Her children by Her Son, and - oh! how She loves them asMother, and gives them Her Maternity, to make Me loved as She loves Me. Not only this, but by giving HerMaternity, She places perfect love among the creatures, so that they may love one another with maternallove, which is sacrificing, unselfish and constant love. But who receives all this good? Only one who lives in

Page 6: ROGATE! FIAT ! “May the Divine Will always be blessed ... · Newsletter No. 179–- April 16th A.D. 2017 Easter Sunday (Mark 13:12) And behold there was a great earthquake. For

Our Fiat feels the Maternity of the Queen. One can say that She places Her maternal Heart into Herchildren’s mouths, that they may suckle and receive the Maternity of Her love, the sweetnesses, and all thequalities with which Her maternal Heart is enriched.

My daughter, one who wants to find Us, one who wants to receive all Our goods and my very Mother, must enter Our Will and remain in It. Our Will is not only Our life, but with Its immensity It forms Ourresidence around Us, in which It keeps all Our acts, words, and all that We are, always in act. Our things donot go out of Our Will; one who wants them must be content with carrying out her life together with It, andthen everything is her own - nothing is denied to her. If We want to give Our things to her, but she does notlive in Our Will, she will not appreciate them, nor love them; she will not feel the right to make them herown, and when things are not made one’s own, love does not arise - it dies.”

After this, I continued my round in all that Our Lord did on earth and I stopped in the act ofResurrection. What triumph, what glory. Heaven poured Itself upon earth to be spectator of such a great glory. My beloved Jesus said: “My daughter, in my Resurrection, the right was given to creatures to rise again inme to new life. It was the confirmation, the seal of my whole life, my works and my words. If I came onearth it was to give to each and every one my Resurrection, as their own - to give them life and make themrise again in my own Resurrection. But do you want to know where is the real resurrection of the creature? Not in the end of her days, but while she is still living on earth. One who lives in my Will rises again to lightand says: ‘my night is over.’ She rises again in the love of her Creator, so that there is no more cold or snowfor her, but the smile of the Heavenly Spring; she rises again to sanctity, which puts to rushed flight allweaknesses, miseries and passions; she rises again to all that is Heaven, and if she looks at the earth,Heaven and Sun, she does it to find the works of her Creator - to take the opportunity to narrate to Him Hisglory and His long love story.

Therefore, one who lives in my Will can say, as the Angel said to the holy women on the way to thesepulcher, ‘He is risen. He is not here any more.’ One who lives in my Will can also say, ‘my will is notwith me any longer - it is risen again in the Fiat.’ And if the circumstances of life, opportunities andsufferings surround the creature, as if they were looking for her will, she can answer: ‘my will is risen again,it is not in my power anymore. I possess, in exchange, the Divine Will, and I want to cover with Its light allthings around me - circumstances and sufferings, to make them like many divine conquests.’ The soul wholives in our Will finds life in the acts of her Jesus, and Our operating, conquering, triumphant Will alwaysruns in her. She gives us so much glory that Heaven cannot contain it. Therefore, live always in our Will -never leave it, if you want to be our triumph and our glory.”

April 23, A.D. 2017 – Divine Mercy SundayCalendar for the Traditional Roman Rite

Divine WillLuisa Piccarreta was born on April 23, 1865 the Sunday after Easter (Divine Mercy Sunday), in Corato, Bari,

to Nicola Vito and Rosa Tarantino, who had five daughters: Maria, Rachele, Filomena, Luisa and Angela. A few hoursafter Luisa’s birth, her father wrapped her in a blanket and took her to the main church for baptism. Her mother had notsuffered the pangs of labor: her birth was painless.

Divine MercySt. Faustina’s Diary - 299. I desire that the first Sunday after Easter be the Feast of Mercy.

Divine WillLuisa, having accepted the role of victim, came to experience a most peculiar condition: every morning she found

herself rigid, immobile, huddled up in bed, and no one could move her because of her weight, as if she were a large pieceof lead, nor could they stretch any of her members, to raise her arms or move her head or legs as they were stronglystiffened no one was able to stretch her out,. Her body assumed a rock-like hardness. Her tiny frame grew so heavy thatno one could lift it. In this death-like state, Luisa was totally paralyzed, although she retained consciousness and sufferedexcruciating pains. As we know, it required the presence of a priest who, by blessing her with the sign of the Cross withhis thumb on the back of her hands Reciting at the same time the Trisagion prayer of the Byzantine liturgy “Holy God,Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, Have Mercy on us.” This dispelled that corpse-like rigidity - then the body ofLuisa came round and started to move, and her sister could lift her easily and with no strain, placing her in her usual andonly position, sitting on her little bed.

Divine MercySt. Faustina’s Diary: 476. This prayer will serve to appease My wrath. You will recite it for nine days, on the

beads of the rosary, in the following manner: First of all, you will say one Our Father and Hail Mary and the I Believe inGod. Then on the Our Father beads, you will say the following words: “Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood,Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the wholeworld.” On the Hail Mary beads you will say the following words: “For the sake of His sorrowful Passion have mercy onus and on the whole world.” In conclusion, three times you will recite these words” Holy God, Holy Mighty One, HolyImmortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Divine Will Book of Heaven - April 16 A.D. 1904Jesus and God the Father speak about Mercy. - Continuing in my usual state, I found myself outside of myself,

and I saw a multitude of people, and in their midst one could hear noises of bombs and gun shots. People were droppingdead or wounded, and those who were left would flee up to a palace nearby; but the enemies would go up there and killthem, more surely than those who remained outside. So I said to myself: ‘How I wish I could see whether the Lord isthere in the midst of these people, so as to say to Him: ‘Have mercy - pity on these poor people!’ So I went round andround and I saw Him as a little Child; but little by little He kept growing, until He reached the perfect age. I drew nearHim and I said: ‘Amiable Lord, don’t You see the tragedy that is happening? You don’t want to make use of mercyany more? Do You perhaps want to keep this attribute as useless, which has always glorified your Incarnate Divinitywith so much honor, forming a special crown on your august head, and bejeweling You with a second crown, sowanted and loved by You - which is souls?’

Now, while I was saying this, He told me: ‘Enough, enough, do not go any further; you want to speak ofMercy, and what about Justice - what are we going to do with It? I have told you and I repeat to you: ‘It is necessarythat Justice follow Its course’.” So I replied: ‘There is no remedy - why then leave me on this earth when I can nolonger placate You and suffer in the place of my neighbor? Since it is so, it is better if You let me die.’ At that momentI saw another person behind the shoulders of blessed Jesus, and He told me, almost making a sign with His eyes:“Present yourself to my Father and see what He tells you.’ I presented myself, all trembling, and as soon as He saw me,He told me: “Why have you come to Me?” And I: ‘Adorable Goodness, infinite Mercy, knowing that You are MercyItself, I have come to ask for your Mercy - Mercy on your very images, Mercy on the works created by You; Mercy onnothing else but your creatures themselves.’ And He said to me: “So, it is Mercy that you want. But if you want trueMercy, after Justice has poured Itself out It will produce abundant fruits of Mercy

Divine MercyIn answer to Luisa’s request for Mercy, St. Mary Faustina of the Blessed Sacrament was born the following

year on August 2, 1905

Divine WillThe archbishop at that time, Giuseppe Bianchi Dottula (December 22, 1848-September 22,1892), came to know

of what was happening in Corato; thought it right to delegate to Luisa a special confessor, Fr. Michele De Benedictis. Fr.Michele, ordered her to eat at least once a day, even if she immediately threw up everything she had swallowed. Luisawas to live on the Divine Will alone. It was under this priest that she received permission to stay in bed all the time as avictim of expiation. This was in 1888. Luisa remained nailed to her bed of pain, from New Year 1889 she was toremain there permanently.

Divine MercySt. Faustina’s Diary - 1264…Act of total abandonment to the will of God, which is for me, love and mercy itself.

Jesus-Host, whom I have this very moment received into my heart, through this union with You I offer myself to theheavenly Father as a sacrificial host, abandoning myself totally and completely to the most merciful and holy willof my God. From today onward, Your will, Lord is my food. Take my whole being dispose of me as You please.Whatever Your fatherly hand give me, I will accept with submission, peace and joy.

Divine Will Book of Heaven - April 10 A.D. 1912The souls who have more trust will shine more in the crown of the divine mercy. Continuing in my usual state,

as soon as blessed Jesus came, He told me: "My daughter, the souls who will shine the most, like bright gems in thecrown of my divine mercy, are the souls who have more trust, because the more trusting they are, the more they givespace for the attribute of my Mercy to pour into them all the Graces that they want. On the other hand, the soul whodoes not have real trust closes the graces within Me, remaining poor and unequipped, while my Love remains containedwithin Me and suffers greatly. In order not to suffer so much, and to be able to freely pour out my Love, I deal more withthose souls who trust than with the others. With these souls I can pour out my Love, I can play, I can cause lovingcontrasts, since there is no worry that they may feel ashamed or afraid; rather, they become more brave and takeeverything in order to love Me more. Therefore, trusting souls are the outpouring and the amusement of my Love - themost graceful and the richest ones."

Divine MercySaint Faustina’s Diary -102. When you say this prayer, with a contrite heart and with faith on behalf of some

sinner, I will give him the grace of conversion. This is the prayer:“O Blood & Water, which gushed forth from theHeart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You.”

Divine WillIn 1994, on the day of the Feast of Christ the King, in the main church, Archbishop Carmelo Cassati, in the

presence of a large crowd including foreign representatives, officially opened the beatification cause of the Servant ofGod Luisa Piccarreta.

Divine MercySt. Faustina’s Diary - 83. Write this: before I come as the just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy.

Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort:

Divine Will Book of Heaven - February 3 A.D. 1912If in the soul there is no purity, upright working and love, she cannot be the mirror of Jesus. Continuing in my usual state,my always lovable Jesus came, and placing His holy hand under my chin, He told me: “My daughter, you are thereflection of my glory.” Then He added: “In the world I need mirrors to which to go and look at Myself. Only then cana fount serve as mirror in which people can reflect themselves…

Divine MercySt. Faustina’s Diary -163. O Most Holy Trinity! As many times as I breathe, as many times as my heart beats,

as many times as my blood pulsates through my body, so many thousand times do I want to glorify Your mercy.I want tobe completely transformed into Your mercy and to be Your living reflection, O Lord.

Divine Will Book of Heaven - November 9 A.D. 1906Effects of meditating continuously on the Passion.

Finding myself in my usual state, I was thinking about the Passion of Our Lord; and while I was doing this, Hecame and told me: "My daughter, one who meditates continuously on my Passion and feels sorrow for it andcompassion for Me, pleases Me so much that I feel as though comforted for all that I suffered in the course of myPassion; and by always meditating on it, the soul arrives at preparing a continuous food.

Divine MercySt. Faustina’s Diary - 267 Jesus told me that I please Him best by meditating on His sorrowful Passion, and by

such meditation much light falls upon my soul. He who wants to learn true humility should reflect upon the Passion ofJesus.

Divine WillSaint Annibale Maria Di Francia - Messina, October 29, 1926 - Intelligentes quae sit voluntas Dei. We begin,

with this first printing, the publication of more than 20 handwritten volumes of sublime revelations which, alwaysexcepting the judgments of the Holy Church, we believe to have been given by Our Lord Jesus Christ to a soul, a dearestdaughter and disciple of His, who is the pious author of the Hours of the Passion. Even now we make known that theserevelations, which are continuing and will continue, we don’t know for how much longer, have as their goal theestablishment of the complete Triumph of the Kingdom of the Divine Will upon earth.

Divine MercySt. Faustina’s Diary - 304. O my Jesus, my only hope, thank You for the book which You have opened before my

soul’s eyes. That book is Your Passion which You underwent for love of me. It is from this book that I have learnedhow to love God and souls. In this book there are found for us inexhaustible treasures. O Jesus, how few souls understandYou in Your martyrdom of love!

Divine MercySt. Faustina’s Diary - 1826…When I had received Jesus in Holy Communion, my heart cried out with all its

might, “Jesus, transform me into another host! I want to be a living host for You. You are a great and all-powerful

Lord; You can grant me this favor.” And the Lord answered me, You are a living host, pleasing to the HeavenlyFather. But reflect: What is a host? A sacrifice. And so…? Oh my Jesus, I understand the meaning of “host”, themeaning of sacrifice. I desire to be before Your Majesty a living host; that is, a living sacrifice that daily burns inYour honor.

When my strength begins to fail, it is Holy Communion that will sustain me and give me strength. Indeed, I fearthe day on which I would not receive Holy Communion. My soul draws astonishing strength form Holy Communion. Oliving Host, light of my soul!

Divine Will Book of Heaven - March 24 A.D. 1922Every Act Done in the Divine Will Multiplies the Sacramental Life of Jesus. As I continued in my usual state, myever-lovable Jesus came and said to me:

“My daughter, when the soul does its acts in my Will it multiplies my Life. If it does ten acts in my Will, itmultiplies Me ten times; and if it does twenty, one hundred, one thousand, or even more acts in my Will, so many timesdoes it multiply Me. It is similar to the sacramental consecration. I am multiplied into as many hosts as are consecrated. But in the case of the consecration I need the hosts to be able to multiply Myself, and I need a priest to consecrate them.Whereas in my Will I need the acts of creatures which are living hosts, not dead like the hosts before theirconsecration, so that my Will may consecrate and enclose Me in these acts. Thus am I multiplied in each act of asoul when it is done in my Will. Because of this my Love finds its complete release and satisfaction in souls that domy Will and live within my Volition. It is they who constantly provide the basis not just for the acts that allcreatures owe Me, but also for my Sacramental Life itself. How many times does my Sacramental Life remainenclosed and shackled within a few consecrated hosts. Few are those who receive communion and often there are nopriests to consecrate Me. My Sacramental Life not only fails to be multiplied as it desires, but often ceases to exist. Oh,how my Love suffers! I would like to multiply my Life every day into as many hosts as there are creatures, so that I couldgive Myself to them. Yet I wait in vain; my Will remains impotent. But what I have decided, shall be. That is why I amtaking a different path and multiply Myself, alive, in each act done by creatures in my Will. I want these acts tobring about the multiplication of my Sacramental Life. Oh yes, only those souls who live in my Will provide all thecommunions creatures fail to receive, and make up for all the consecrations priests have failed to make! In them Iwill find everything, even the multiplication of my Sacramental Life. I repeat, your mission is very great. I could nothave picked you for a higher, more noble, more sublime, more divine mission. There is nothing that I will not concentratein you, even to the multiplication of my Life. I will perform new prodigies of Grace never performed before. Therefore,be attentive and faithful to Me. Make sure that my Will always finds life in you. Then in my own Will living in you, I willfind the work of Creation whole and complete, with all the rights that are due me and with everything I desire.”

LESSON SIXTH: On Sin and Its Kinds – Part 1 of 3Q. 274. How is sin divided?

A.1. Sin is divided into the sin we inherit called original sin, and the sin we commit ourselves, called actual sin.2. Actual sin is sub-divided into greater sins, called mortal, and lesser sins, called venial.

Book of Heaven - February 4 A.D. 1919“Do you see, my daughter, with what excess of love I loved the creature? My Divinity was too jealous to entrust to the

creature the task of Redemption, and so It made Me suffer the Passion. The creature had no power to make Me die asmany times for as many creatures which had come, and were to come to the light of Creation, and for as many mortalsins as they would have the disgrace to commit. The Divinity wanted life for each life of creature, and life for eachdeath which she gave herself through mortal sin. Who could be so powerful over Me as to give Me so many deaths, ifnot my own Divinity? Who would have had the strength, the love, the constancy to watch Me dying so many times, ifnot my own Divinity? The creature would have grown tired, and would have given up.

Volume 1And Jesus: “And you - do you promise to sin no more, and to banish from your heart any shadow of evil that might

offend your Creator?”And I: ‘Ah! yes, with all my heart I promise You. I would die a thousand times rather than sin again. Never again, never again.’And Jesus: “And I forgive you, and I apply to your soul the merits of my Passion, and I want to wash it in my Blood.”And as He was saying this, He raised His blessed right hand and pronounced the words of the absolution – exactly likethe words that the priest says, when he gives absolution. And in the act of doing this, a river of blood poured downfrom His hand, and my soul was completely inundated by it.After this, He said to me: “Come, oh daughter, come to make penance for your sins by kissing my wounds.”All trembling, I stood up and I kissed His most sacred wounds; and then He said to me: “My daughter, be morevigilant and attentive, because today I give you the grace not to fall, ever again, into voluntary venial sin.”

Q. 275. In how many ways may actual sin be committed?A. Actual sin may be committed in two ways: namely, by willfully doing things forbidden, or by willfully neglecting thingscommanded.

Page 12: ROGATE! FIAT ! “May the Divine Will always be blessed ... · Newsletter No. 179–- April 16th A.D. 2017 Easter Sunday (Mark 13:12) And behold there was a great earthquake. For

12

Book of Heaven - February 22 A.D. 1903“My daughter, sin offends God and wounds man, and since it was committed by man, and God was offended, in orderfor Him to receive full satisfaction, a Man and a God was needed to satisfy for it. The thirty years or so of my mortallife satisfied for the three ages of the world, for the three different states of law: natural, written, and of grace - andfor the three different ages of each man: adolescence, youth and old age. I satisfied, earned and impetrated for all,and my Humanity serves as the staircase in order to ascend to Heaven. But if man does not go up this staircasethrough the exercise of his own virtues, in vain does he try to ascend, and he will render my works useless for himself.”

Q. 276. What is our sin called when we neglect things commanded?A. When we neglect things commanded our sin is called a sin of omission. Such sins as willfully neglecting to hear Masson Sundays, or neglecting to go to Confession at least once a year, are sins of omission.

Volume 1After this, He left me, and I felt such pain, comprehending how ugly the sin of pride is, that it is impossible to describeit. After I chewed all this thoroughly within myself, my good Jesus came back and told me to continue the confessionof my sins. And I, all trembling, continued to make the accusation of my thoughts, words, works, causes andomissions; and when He would see that I was unable to continue the confession because of the pain I felt at havingoffended Him so much… in fact, I had such a vivid clarity, being in front of that Divine Sun; especially, I could seemy littleness, the nonentity of my being, and I was stunned at how daring I had been, wondering from where had Itaken that courage to offend a God so good, who, in the very act in which I was offending Him, assisted me, preservedme, nourished me. And if He had any rancor with me, it was for the sin I committed, which He greatly hated, while Heloved me immensely, He excused me before divine justice, and was all occupied with removing that wall of divisionbetween the soul and God, which sin had produced. Oh! if all could see who God is, and who the soul is in the act ofsinning, they would all die of sorrow, and I believe that sin would be exiled from the earth …So, when blessed Jesuswould see that I could not take any more because of the pain, He would withdraw and leave me, to allow me tocomprehend well the evil I had done. And then He would come back again, and I would continue the accusation of mysins.

Q. 277. Is original sin the only kind of sin?A. Original sin is not the only kind of sin; there is another kind of sin, which we commit ourselves, called actual sin.

Book of Heaven - August 15 A.D. 1899“My beloved, this morning I have come to place in order all virtues in your heart. The other virtues may remainseparate from one another, but Charity binds and orders everything. Here is what I want to do in you – to orderCharity.”I said to Him: ‘My sole and only Good, how can you do this since I am so bad and full of defects and imperfections? If Charity is order, aren’t these defects and sins disorder that keeps my soul all messy and upside-down?’ And Jesus:“I will purify everything, and Charity will put everything in order. Besides, when I let a soul participate in the pains ofmy Passion, there cannot be grave sins; at most, some venial involuntary defects, but my love, being fire, will consumeeverything that is imperfect in your soul.” So it seemed that Jesus purified me and ordered all of me; then He pouredas though a rivulet of honey from His Heart into mine, and with that honey He watered all of my interior, in such away that everything that was in me remained orderly, united and with the mark of Charity.

Q. 278. What is actual sin?A. Actual sin is any willful thought, word, deed, or omission contrary to the law of God.

Book of Heaven - December 30 A.D. 1902“My daughter, many times I delight in choosing souls, surrounding them with divine fortitude in such a way that noenemy may enter into them. I establish in them my perpetual dwelling, and in this residence of mine I lower Myself, one could say, to the most minute services; I clean her up, I pull out all thorns from her, I destroy all the evil that thehuman nature has produced in her, and I plant in her all the beautiful and good things that can be found in Me, to theextent of forming the most beautiful garden of my delights, to be used at my pleasure and according to thecircumstances of my glory and of the good of others; so much so, that it can be said that she no longer has anything ofher own, but serves only as my dwelling. Now, do you know what it takes to destroy all this? One act contrary to myWill; and if you oppose my Will you will do all this.”

Q. 279. How many kinds of actual sin are there?A. There are two kinds of actual sin -- mortal and venial.

Q. 280. What is mortal sin?A. Mortal sin is a grievous offense against the law of God.

Book of Heaven - December 30 A.D. 1902I could see with clarity that the ugliest offense that the creature can give to the Creator is to oppose His Most HolyWill.

Q. 281. Why is this sin called mortal?A. This sin is called mortal because it deprives us of spiritual life, which is sanctifying grace, and brings everlasting deathand damnation on the soul.

Book of Heaven - March 23 A.D. 1903God is the Creator, and if He creates the creatures, it is love alone that makes Him create; if He keeps all of Hisattributes in continuous attitude toward creatures, it is love that pushes Him to this, and His very attributes receive lifefrom love. The same for a disordered love, like the love of riches, of pleasures and of many other things: these are notthe things that form the life of man, but if he feel love for these things, not only do they come to form his life, but hereaches the point of making of them his own idol. So, if a love is holy, it forms the life of sanctification; if it isperverted, it forms the life of damnation.”

Q. 282. How many things are necessary to make a sin mortal?A. To make a sin mortal, three things are necessary:

1.a grievous matter, sufficient reflection, and full consent of the will.

Book of Heaven - March 26 A.D., 1927After this, I was thinking to myself: ‘How is it that, from such a high place, when he was created by God, Adam fell tosuch a low level, after sin?’ And my always adorable Jesus, moving in my interior, told me: “My daughter, in thecreation, one was the Will which entered the field in order to create all things. To It alone belonged, by right, thedominion, the regime and the carrying out of Its own life in each thing, which would be created by It. Now, after manwithdrew from Our Will, one no longer was the Will that reigned on earth – but two. And since the human will isinferior to the Divine, man emptied himself of all the goods of this Supreme Fiat; and in doing his own will, he tookaway the place of the Divine Will. This was the greatest sorrow; more so, since this human will had been released andcreated by the Divine Will, so that everything might be Its own property - Its own dominion. Now, by withdrawing from Our Will, man became guilty of stealing the divine rights, since, by doing his own will, noneof the things created by this Fiat would belong to him any more. Therefore, he had to find a place in which Ourcreative work would not extend; but this too was impossible – this place cannot be found. So, not being with Our Will,he would still take from the things which belong to It, in order to live; he would use the sun, the water, the fruits of theearth – everything. These were all thefts that he committed against Us. Therefore, by not doing Our Will, man becamethe little thief of all Our goods.

Q. 283. What do we mean by "grievous matter" with regard to sin?A. By "grievous matter" with regard to sin we mean that the thought, word or deed by which mortal sin iscommitted must be either very bad in itself or severely prohibited, and therefore sufficient to make a mortal sin ifwe deliberately yield to it.

Book of Heaven - April 8 A.D. 1927See, then: when my Will has been expressed, wanted and commanded, the sin is graver and the consequences areirreparable; and only my Divine Will Itself can make up for such a great evil, as that which occurred to Adam. On theother hand, when It is not expressed, even though the creature has the duty to pray to Me in order to know my Will inher work – whether there is any good in her act, and my glory alone - the evil is not so grave, and it is easier to find aremedy. And I do this with each creature, in order to test their loyalty, and also to secure the love which they say theyhave for Me. Who would not want to be sure about a property he has acquired, to the point of writing the deed? Whowould not want to be sure about the faithfulness of a friend, or about the true loyalty of a servant? So, in order to besure, I let them know that I want some little sacrifices, which will bring all goods and sanctity to them, and they willfulfill the purpose for which they were created. But if they are reluctant, everything will be upset in them, and all evilswill swoop down upon them. Therefore, not doing my Will is always evil – more or less evil, according to theknowledge one possesses of It.”

Q. 284. What does "sufficient reflection and full consent of the will" mean?A. "Sufficient reflection" means that we must know the thought, word or deed to be sinful at the time we are guilty of it;and "full consent of the will" means that we must fully and willfully yield to it.

Book of Heaven - November 15 A.D> 1923…my Will is the language of Heaven, and It begins there where all other sciences and virtues end. My Will is Queenwhich dominates everything and crowns everyone, in such a way that before the Sanctity of my Will all other virtuesshrink and tremble. This is why I wanted to act as your teacher of the alphabet first - to dispose your intelligence, tothen move on to act as your celestial and divine teacher, who only knows about the language of the Fatherland and ofthe highest science which my Will contains. First I had to remove from you the taste for anything, because the humanwill has this poison: it makes one lose taste for the Divine Will. In all created things, since they had come out of Me, Ihad placed a divine taste; but by doing her will, even in holy things, the soul does not find this taste. So, in order to letyou enjoy the taste of my Will alone, I am attentive not to let you taste anything else, that I may dispose you to receivemore sublime lessons about my Will. If this was necessary for you, more so for the whole Church, to which I had tomake known the minor things first, and then the greatest of all, which is my Will.”

Q. 286. Do past material sins become real sins as soon as we discover their sinfulness?A. Past material sins do not become real sins as soon as we discover their sinfulness, unless we again repeat themwith full knowledge and consent.

Book of Heaven - November 10 A.D. 1926“My daughter, Adam felt this tearing so harrowing, but in spite of this he fell into the maze of his human will, which

gave him no more peace, either to him or to his posterity. All Creation withdrew from him as though in one singlebreath; and since happiness, peace, strength, sovereignty and everything withdrew, he remained alone with himself.Poor Adam, how much it cost him to withdraw from my Will. Just by feeling isolated, no longer surrounded by thecortege of the whole Creation, he felt such fright and horror, that he became the fearful man. He feared everything –even my own works; and with reason, because it is said: ‘One who is not with Me, is against Me’. Since he was nolonger linked with them, by justice they were to place themselves against him. Poor Adam, there is much reason tohave compassion for him. He had no example of anyone else who might have fallen, and of the great evil that wouldoccur, so that he would be watchful in order not to fall. He had no idea of evil. In fact, my daughter, the evil, the sin,the fall of someone else has two effects: for one who is evil and wants to fall, it serves as an example, as a spur, as anincentive to fall into the abyss of evil; for one who is good and does not want to fall, it serves as an antidote, as adeterrent, as help and defense so as not to fall. In fact, seeing the great evil, the misfortune of the other serves as anexample in order not to fall and follow the same path, so as not to find oneself in that same misfortune. So, the evil ofsomeone else makes one be watchful and on guard. Therefore, the fall of Adam is a great help, a lesson and a call foryou, while he had no lesson of evil, because, then, evil did not yet exist.”

“I was thinking and accompanying Jesus in the Hour of the Passion when He went to HisDivine Mama.… “

Book of Heaven – July 6 A.D. 1922Blessing which Jesus gave to His Mama before His Passion. One who lives in the Divine Will is thedepository of the Sacramental Life of Jesus.

I was thinking and accompanying Jesus in the Hour of the Passion when He went to His Divine Mama to askfor Her holy blessing; and my most sweet Jesus in my interior told me: “My daughter, before my Passion, Iwanted to bless my Mama and be blessed by Her. But it was not only my Mama that I blessed, but allcreatures, and not only those which are animate, but also the inanimate. I saw the creatures weak, coveredwith wounds, poor; my Heart had a throb of sorrow and of tender compassion, and I said: “Poor humanity, how decayed you are. I want to bless you, so that you may rise again from your decay. May my blessingimpress in you the triple seal of the power, the wisdom and the love of the Three Divine Persons, and may itrestore your strength, heal you and enrich you. And in order to surround you with defense, I bless all thingscreated by Me, that you may receive them all blessed by Me. I bless for you the light, the air, the water, thefire, the food, so that you may remain as though submerged and covered by my blessings. And since you didnot deserve it, I wanted to bless my Mama, using Her as channel in order to make my blessings reach you.And just as my Mama requited Me with Her blessings, so do I want creatures to requite Me with theirblessings; but alas! instead of a requital of blessings, they requite Me with offenses and maledictions. Therefore, my daughter, enter into my Will, and rising upon the wings of all created things, seal all of themwith the blessings that all should give Me, and bring the blessings of all to my sorrowful and tender Heart.”

Then, after I did this, as though to repay me, He said to me: “My beloved daughter, I bless you in aspecial way; I bless your heart, your mind, your motion, your word, your breath - I bless all of you, andeverything in you.”

Then, after this, I followed the other Hours of the Passion, and while I was following the EucharisticSupper, my sweet Jesus moved in my interior, and with the tip of His finger He knocked strongly within myinterior, so much so, that I heard Him with my ears, and I said to myself: ‘What could Jesus want, that He isknocking?’ And He, calling me, told me: “It was not enough to knock so as to be heard, but also to call youso as to be listened to. Listen, my daughter: while I instituted the Eucharistic Supper, I called everyonearound Me, I looked at all generations, from the first to the last man, in order to give my Sacramental Life toall - and not once, but so many times for as many as he needs corporal food. I wanted to constitute Myselffood for the soul, but I was very troubled at seeing that this, my Sacramental Life, would be surrounded byscorns, by neglects, and even by ruthless death. I felt ill, I experienced all the grips of the death of mySacramental Life, so harrowing and repeated. I looked more closely, I made use of the power of my Will, and I called around Me the souls who would live in my Will. Oh! how happy I felt. I felt surrounded bythese souls, whom the power of my Will kept as though submerged, and who had my Will as center of their

life. I saw my immensity in them, and I found Myself well defended from all; and to them I entrusted mySacramental Life. I deposited It in them, so that they would not only take care of It, but requite Me for eachconsecrated Host with one life of theirs. And this happens naturally, because my Sacramental Life isanimated by my Eternal Will, and the life of these souls has my Will as center of life; therefore, when mySacramental Life is formed, my Volition, acting in Me, acts in them, and I feel their life in my SacramentalLife. They multiply with Me in each Host, and I feel I am given life for life.

Oh! how I exulted in seeing you as the first one - you, whom I called in a special way to form yourlife in my Will! I made in you the first deposit of all my Sacramental Lives, I entrusted you to the power andto the immensity of the Supreme Volition, that they might render you capable of receiving this deposit; andfrom that time you were present to Me, and I constituted you depository of my Sacramental Life, and, in you,all the other souls who would live in my Will. I gave you primacy over everything - and with reason, becausemy Will is not subject to anyone – and even over the Apostles and the priests. In fact, if they consecrate Me,they do not, however, remain as life together with Me; on the contrary, they leave Me alone and forgotten, not caring about Me; while these souls would be life within my own Life - inseparable from Me. This is whyI love you so much – it is my own Will that I love in you.”

17 YEARS

Saint Annibale Maria Di Francia and the Servant of God, Luisa Piccarreta,The Little Daughter of the Divine Will

Seventeen Years (A.D. 1910-1927)

1913

Fr. Annibal took a manuscript copy of the “Hours of the Passion” with him to Rome to an audience with Pope Pius X.During the audience, as Fr. Annibal read one of the hours aloud to the pope, the Holy Father interrupted him, saying,

“Father, those words should be read kneeling.1914

Blessed Fr. Annibal Di Francia soon began the printing of the 24 Hours of the Passion. Under his request, Luisa had towrite them around 1913-1914. Father Annibal gave them the title of “Orologio della Passione di Notro Signore Gesu’Cristo”, and published four editions (1915, 1916, 1917, 1925), with “Nihil Obstat” and “Imprimatur.”

1919

In April, the mother house of the Rogationsts in Avignone burned to the ground. Some of his congregation questionedGod’s providence, but Father Annibal silenced them immediately:

“ Hush! Let us not ask, let us not inquire as to “why,” but let us adore God’s designs and trust in Him!”

Book of Heaven; Volume 8 - January 30 A.D. 1909The story of ‘why’.Finding myself in my usual state, I found myself outside of myself; I seemed to see a soul in Purgatory, whom I knew, and I said to her: ‘Take a look at how I am before God – I am so concerned about it, especially about the state in which Ifind myself.’ And she told me: “It takes nothing to know whether you are doing well or badly: if you appreciatesuffering, you are doing well; if you don’t, you are doing badly. In fact, one who appreciates suffering, appreciates God;and by appreciating Him, one can never displease Him. Things which are appreciated, are also esteemed, loved, and onecherishes them and keeps them safe, more than oneself. Can it ever be possible that one wants evil for himself? In thesame way, it is impossible that one may displease God, if he appreciates Him.”Then, afterwards, blessed Jesus came for just a little, and told me: “My daughter, in almost all of the events that occur, creatures keep repeating, over and over again: ‘And why? And why? And why? Why this illness? Why this interiorstate? Why this scourge?’ And many other why’s. The explanation of ‘why’ is not written on earth, but in Heaven, and there everyone will read it. Do you know what ‘why’ is? It is egoism, which gives continuous food to love of self.Do you know where ‘why’ was created? In hell. Who was the first one that pronounced it? A demon. The effectsproduced by the first ‘why’ were the loss of innocence in Eden Itself, the war of untamable passions, the ruin of manysouls, the evils of life. The story of ‘why’ is long; it is enough to tell you that there is no evil in the world which doesnot carry the mark of ‘why’. ‘Why’ is destruction of divine wisdom in souls. And do you know where ‘why’ will beburied? In hell, to make them restless for eternity, without ever giving them peace. The art of ‘why’ is to wage waragainst souls, without ever giving them respite.”

1921

Fr. Annibal published a new edition of the “Hours of the Passion” including a Treatise on the Divine Will. The1921 edition also included an introduction by Monsignor Cento, a nuncio to Venezuela and a cardinal. This“Hours” bore both the imprimatur and the nihil obstat. Cardinal Cento wrote to Luisa:

“The fundamental points of your life and spiritual doctrine have a very special attraction for me. Continue to pray that myhuman will may truly disappear in God’s Will.

What you wrote concerning the Kingdom of the Will of God makes me go into ecstasy. How I wish that God wouldmake me live those truths! Furthermore, I want to express my lively desire that other volumes may since our Lord Himselfwants it. The lighted lamp should not be hidden under a bushel. He who is the light of the world will know how toovercome all obstacles.”

Fr. Francis Vitale wrote about Fr. Annibal:

“ He did not suffer people to complain about problems when his institutions were in trouble; he blessed God. Once, in theAvignone courtyard, we were sitting in the shadow of a plant tossed by the wind. When a thorny branch hurt his head, [Fr.Annibal] quickly exclaimed: “What is this plant doing here? It is better to move it.” Then, as if aware of having made amistake that could have ill effects, he turned around saying:

“I have been a fool asking what this plant is doing here! It is doing God’s will to make us practice patience. We have tobless it.”

“ Woe to those who dared to say things like, “poor devil, deuce, curse, bad fate, and the like.” He disliked hearingpejorative words even about the weather! He said: “Speaking badly is negative; it is not good. The elements of nature arecreations of God, and even though they seem severe, they still do God’s Will. Why complain then?”

Fr. Vitale and Fr. Annibal were reflecting on the virtues of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Someone mentioned that St.

Ignatius’ trust in God was so great that if he had seen the Society of Jesus completely destroyed, he would only haveneeded fifteen minutes to calm down. Upon hearing this, without reflecting on the effect that hiscomment might have, Fr. Annibal exclaimed, “So long?”

“Easter Wishes”Lessons from the Letters of Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta

THE LITTLE DAUGHTER OF THE DIVINE WILL

81. To Mother CeciliaMy good and reverend Mother,Infinite thanks for your wishes and for your Easter letters, which I enjoyed very much, and also for the trifles, asyou say, that you sent me. Thank you for everything. I feel vividly my gratitude, and even though you mayforget me, I will never forget about you. And since I am a being incapable of doing good to anyone, I pray forone who has loved me very much, and maybe still loves me, since, in my present conditions, it seems that Ihave fallen into disgrace for all. But not for my dear Jesus; and this is enough for me.

Therefore, my dearest Mother, I do nothing but pray that the Divine Will would substitute me, giving you thegreatest grace – of enclosing you in His Will, in which you will find everything you need to make yourself agreat saint. You will no longer belong to the human family – but to the divine; you will have Light, Love andSanctity at your disposal. Your pains, your character (as you told me in your Easter letter) will be invested bythe divine pains and character, and everything will be changed into love. Love will make everything easy foryou; more so, since you will no longer do anything by yourself, but always with a Will so Holy, which can doeverything.

I believe you will appreciate my poor prayers, my mother. There is nothing left for us in life but to close our ears to everything, if wewant to be at peace even in the midst of the greatest storms. Only the Lord knows what we are going through – and from people wewould not expect. We could never have thought that so much perfidy could be in religious people. May the Lord bless everyone anddefend His Holy Will, which He loves so much to be known. Therefore, let us pray.

I also thank the whole community. I pray that all of them may hide themselves in the Divine Will, if they wantto become saints. With the most tiny things, with the rifles, we can form the little stones to give the Divine Fiatthe material in order to build our sanctity. And for this, one attention, one thought, one word left unsaid, onesigh of desire for the Holy Will, is enough.

My Mother, pray for me. When will we see each other again? But, Fiat, Fiat! I leave you in the DivineVolition and, even though far away, we will be united; and kissing your right hand, I say,

Most affectionately yours,The little daughter of the Divine Will.

Book of Heaven – March 22, A.D. 1938 – The last sign of Love at the point of deathJavier Escobar Y Cordova

“My Goodness is such, wanting everyone saved, that I allow the falling of these walls when the creatures find themselves between life and death– at the moment in which the soul exits the body to enter eternity – so that they may do at least one act of contrition and of love for Me,

recognizing my adorable Will upon them. I can say that I give them one hour of truth, in order to rescue them. Oh, if all knew my industries oflove, which I perform in the last moment of their life, so that they may not escape from my more than Paternal hands – they would not wait for

that moment, but they would love Me all their life.”
