STRANDED MARINE MAMMAL RESPONSE TEAM Animal Rescue Team/Seal Rescue Clinic (ART/SRC) Mystic Aquarium Mystic, Connecticut ART/SRC Volunteer

Perform rehabilitation and husbandry services for stranded and injured seals, including food preparation (fish, gruel, formula), feeding, safe restraint, and cleaning of animals and housing

Perform and assist with medical procedures on stranded and injured seals, including medication administration, wound care, eye care, and surgical interventions

Respond to calls for stranded and injured marine animals, including pinnipeds, cetaceans, and sea turtles, and perform evaluations on their health, well-being, and need for intervention

Perform Level A evaluations and data collection on deceased, stranded animals to assist in the determination of the etiology of the stranding, the existence of any medical or human factors, and the collection of any biological and/or research data/samples

Assist in necropsies of deceased, stranded animals to aid in the determination of the etiology of the stranding, the existence of any medical or human factors, and the collection of any biological and/or research data/samples
