Risk Assessment

A risk assessment is very important in ensuring everyone's safety while filming and

allows us to record possible dangers and how we can minimise the dangers. Not only this, to ensure that we keep the equipment

safe.

WeatherIf it starts to rain we must make sure that the camera back is fully shut so water does not enter the bag and damage the electrical equipment. Also if we decide to film in the rain then we must use an umbrella to cover the camera, so the rain does not damage the equipment.

A501 Euston SquareAs we’re filming around the A501, there is a risk that we may get hit by a car or rude drivers interrupting the filming and knock over our equipment. To avoid this we are going to film on the pavement so we do not get hit. Also with equipment we should be more aware of our surrounding, so our equipment isn’t damaged.

EquipmentThere is a risk that equipment may be used incorrectly and then damaged due to not being able to function it properly or that they have not been put in the bag properly and fallen out. To make sure this does not happen, we will teach members how to film with the camera. Also double check if we have closed the camera bag properly.

ContactWe must keep contact with our teachers and inform that we are filming and where, just incase something were to happen to us and put us at risk. We have created a Twitter account (@arctic_gaze), so teachers know we are safe by tweeting.
