Focus

FLOODrisk 2016 will bring together researchers, policy makers and practitioners from across the world to share experience and progress made in flood risk research, policy and management practice.

There will be sessions on progress made, lessons learned and best practice. participants will share how recent floods in Europe, the USA, Australia and Asia influence discussions in the political, management and scientific arena and how these experiences might lead to new or common approaches towards flood risk management, particularly in Urban areas.

FLOODrisk 2016 will include contributions from a variety of national, European and international flood related initiatives as well as wider international practice.

Programme

An extended list of topics in the areas of Flood Risk Assessment and Flood Event Management will be addressed in thematic or special sessions and interactive workshops during this three-day conference. The focus of the programme includes:

Call for abstracts

FLOODrisk2016 welcomes submissions from all areas with relevance to flood risk. Prospective authors can submit abstracts on the topics outlined via the conference website; www.floodrisk2016.net/authors/ until 2nd September 2015. Authors will be notified of acceptance for either oral or poster presentation by 4th November 2015. Abstracts that contribute to the theme of the conference are especially encouraged. Both oral and poster presentations will be published as full-length papers in the proceedings.
