Kens Pen Dear Bethany Family, I am excited to see the fall season arrive for many reasons, but one reason high on the list is that it is the time we have our childrens catechism class. The word catechismsimply means instruction, and in this four- session class, I ask the children questions and then we look up passages in Gods Word to find the answers. The subject categories we cover in the class are God, man, sin, salvation, and the church. I count this class a joy and privilege as we consider these great topics and learn together. The class will be conducted this year in the church library on four consecutive Friday after- noons, from 4:15 until 5:15. The class is de- signed for first-grade through sixth-grade chil- dren, and at least one parent or grandparent is requested to accompany his or her child/ children. The catechism-class schedule is shown below. Please pray for our time together in this class—that it would be fruitful for spiritual awakening and growth. The classes will be held from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. on October 13, 20, 27, and November 3. Jesus loves the little children!
