Fair Trade Coffee and Tea Sales. The weekend of March 21/22 we will be offering an assortment of coffee, tea, hot cocoa and chocolate bars. The St. Bridget coffee we are selling is in a beautiful new bag with a fresh seal that will keep that fresh roast taste long-er and is still one full pound. Stop by in the commons after Mass to see the wide assort-ment being offered. Your purchase helps to give an education to children in Carissade, Haiti who would not otherwise have one while helping the farmers in third world coun-tries make a better living. You pay a little more but the coffee, tea and chocolate are fan-tastic. It is as if you can taste the good you are helping to provide.
Hungering for a Season of Hope: The next stop on our CRS Rice Bowl journey is the African nation, Niger, where we’re reminded that life’s joys and challenges are often sea-sonal. This week we pray for people who struggle to feed their families during the hungry season— when food is in short supply—and we commit to acting for the common good.
Saint Gertrude High School is seeking a part-time accounting assistant (15-20 hours/week) for the Finance Office. Candidates must have a degree in accounting or five years of equivalent experience, preferably in a school or non-profit setting. For more information, please see http://www.saintgertrude.org/Page/About/Careers/FacultyStaff-Job-Openings and send application and over letter to [email protected]
Umbrellas and calendars needed: Newly arriving refugees are acclimating to more than just the recent snow when they arrive. New or gently used umbrellas and 2015 calendars would be a great help to them. Umbrellas are handy year-round as many refugees rely on public transportation and walking to get around. Calendars help refugees learn about making appointments and keeping a calendar to encourage habits for success in America. If you have these items to share, please call (804) 545.6294 or deliver them to Emila at 1601 Rolling Hills Drive in Richmond.
Ensemble Chanterelle - March 13, 2015 at 7:30 pm Ensemble Chanterelle has captivated audiences at festivals, museums, historic sites and college campuses across the United States since making its acclaimed New York recital debut in 1984 as winner of the Concert Artists Guild Award. Ensemble Chanterelle’s warm and engaging performances combine humor, drama, passion and virtuosity with imaginative and innovative programming. Sally Sanford, soprano; Catherine Liddell, lute & theorbo; and Brent Wissick, viol and Baroque cello are all distinguished artists in the field of early music performance. They have recorded CDs and broadcasts for radio and television in Europe, North America and Australia.
