Richter valves and pumps for dangerous goods carriage and containersRichter is a specialist for the shut-off, control, pressure-safeguarding and pumping of highly corrosive and high- purity fluids in a wide range of applications, even if these are toxic, combustible or hazardous to the environment: valves from DN 15-1000 (1/2” to 40”) and pumps from 0.1 to 600 m3/h (0.4 to 2600 USgpm), in each case for temperaturesfrom-60to+200°C(-75to400°F).

The standard DIN EN 14432 “Tanks for the carriage of dangerous goods – equipment for tanks for the carriage of liquid chemical products – product shut-off and gas exchange valves” has been in force since January 2011.

The ball valves KN/F and KK/F with a PFA lining type-approved to DIN EN 14432 (ADR/RID 2011) are ideally suited for use on road tankers, tank wagons and transport containers. They comply with the German Clean Air Act (“TA Luft”)

Stationary applications However, Richter is the first choice for stationary appli-cations, too, e.g. with self-priming centrifugal pumps for the pulsation-free overhead draining of containers, with bottom valves for self-draining and with safety relief valves to avoid excessive pressures in vessels and systems.

Richter pumps for dangerous goods road tankersMagnetic drive pumps RMI, RMASealless magnetic drive centrifugal pumps with fluoroplastic lining. Dimensions and nominal ratings to ISO/EN 22858/ISO 2858 and ASME/ANSI B73.3.

Richter pumps RMI/RMA are used when stainless steel and conventional plastics are not sufficiently corrosion-resistant. They are more corrosion-resistant, considerably better priced and more quickly available than pumps made of special metals (e.g. Hastelloy®, titanium, nickel).
