RFID Product Track and Trace

OverviewThe combined RFID control solution from Mitsubishi Electric and Balluff provides advanced data tracking and error proofing that maximizes quality and increases the speed of production. The solution brings together Balluff’s extensive background in RFID communications and Mitsubishi Electric’s strong reputation in providing high performance control solutions.

CC-Link communication permits straightforward connection between the Balluff RFID processors and the Mitsubishi CPU. As CC-Link is an open network, the solution features simplified compatibility between multi-vendor products, enabling the creation of powerful control topologies. Furthermore track and trace data can be quickly expedited from the CPU to a central database via the MES-IT interface.

Example ApplicationsThe application focuses on principles used in the following active tracking installations:

♦ Automotive Product Assembly ♦ Food & Drink Manufacturing ♦ Postal Package Handling ♦ Meat Packing
