Father : Well, fortunately , you don't need to decide until you choose your university course.Son : That is in two years. I don't want to choose something and then regret it later.Father : Why don't you chat to people you know about their jobs? that may help you to decide eventually. But don't worry about it.

Journey to the centre of the Earth (1864) is by Jules Verne and is said to be one of the first science fiction novels. The story begins when professor Lidenbrock finds a message, in an ancient language , which informs him that it is possible to reach the centre of the earth by climbing down a cave. The professor and Axel , his brother's son , travel to a big cave in Iceland . Axel tries to persuade his uncle that the journey is too dangerous , but the professor does not listen. Together with a third man , Hans , the professor and Axel climb down the cave , where their dangerous adventures begin. They walk through tunnels full of poisonous gas , then Axel almost dies because he can't find water . Later, Axel is lost in the dark and only finds the others by following sounds. They travel many kilometers towards the centre of the earth. They walk through forests and pass giant insects and huge mushrooms on their way. They see a battle between two dinosaurs , before coming to an underground ocean. The boat which they build is destroyed in a storm , and the men are shipwrecked on a beach. They continue on foot but are terrified when they meet a giant human . Fortunately , they are not seen.As soon as they have rebuilt their boat , they continue their journey . Suddenly, water sweeps them along a tunnel and they are thrown upwards towards the earth's surface. They come up through a cave in Italy.Although professor Lidenbrock is now a famous scientist , he regrets not reaching the centre of the earth.
