June’16-July’16 MICROSOFT IT Hyderabad, India Software Developer Intern 1 of the 7 chosen interns out of a batch of 250 aspirants for the Microsoft internship program. Directly staffed on a live project named “Newfangled Domain Data Service”
o 2 MSIT websites (e-MSL and POET) were using different services to access domain data from MS License. o Integrated SOAP based WCF service with REST based OData service to create a single service for call. o Single new OData service was created for e-MSL and POET to consume domain data. o Database was offloaded from data calls.

01 Month Hadoop Map Reduce (NYSE Analysis) Two input files were read- NYSE daily prices file containing Stock Symbol, Date, Stock Volume and Stock
Price High and Stock Price Low for the day and NYSE daily dividend file containing Stock symbol, Date and Dividends.
For each NYSE Company, Maximum Stock Price, Minimum Stock Price and Average Dividend was calculated year wise and separate output files were created for each year.
01 Month R Programming (Air Pollution) Input file from one location had three variables- Date of observation, Sulfate levels and Nitrate levels. The mean value of pollutants Nitrate and Sulphate across 332 locations in United States was calculated.
01 Month R Programming (Hospital Quality) Input files containing 30-day mortality and readmission rates for heart attacks and pneumonia. For over 4,000 hospitals, best hospital for resolution of cases- heart attacks and pneumonia was found.
01 Month C++ (Tic Tac Toe Game) The game comprised a 3X3 grid and two players corresponding to symbol ‘X’ and symbol ‘O’ The player who succeeds in marking three symbols in a horizontal/vertical/diagonal row wins the game.
01 Month C++ (Bus Reservation System) The project displayed implementation of Class in C++.
01 Month C# (Snake Game) The snake starts off as a circular object and roams around the playing field to collect food. The snake eats
food and grows in size. If it collides with its own body or with the boundary of the field it dies.
