Experience

Dream Face Technologies, LLC. (Denver, CO) Principal Engineer Feb 2016-Present Developing a next generation social robotic platform for elderly people suffering from dementia. Designing a rear projection optical system and six degree of freedom neck mechanism to increase user

acceptance of a projected 3D interactive avatar. Built the first fully functional prototype for field studies under tight deadlines and minimal supervision.

Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) Lab Manager and Graduate Research Assistant for the Collaborative Robotics Lab Jan 2014-Dec 2015 Developed from concept to completion a novel, hybrid robot consisting of over 6,000 components for use in

Urban Search and Rescue applications. Developed robot control software and electrical hardware based on a custom Xilinx Virtex 4 FPGA platform. Performed extensive mechanical design via Solidworks CAD software. Optimized designs for injection molding processes; design for manufacture. Designed and managed multiple websites with Dreamweaver to communicate lab and university research. Responsible for purchasing and upkeep of lab equipment and supplies as well as scheduling lab meetings.

University of Denver (Denver, CO) Undergraduate Research Assistant June 2012-June 2013 Worked in a team to develop an EyeTracker device for patients suffering from spinal cord and traumatic brain

injuries to convert the user’s eye movement into a functioning computer cursor for under $150. Collaborated personally with customers and patients at Craig Hospital to develop system requirements and to

ensure customer satisfaction. Formulated and performed test procedures for eye movement to cursor accuracy, system robustness, infrared

radiation exposure, and patient safety and comfort. Designed and laid out a camera PCB module using Eagle CAD based on the Aptina MT9V125 image sensor. Designed and fabricated a camera mount and housing using Solidworks CAD software. Organized EyeTracker project management with Microsoft Project.

Summer Research Assistant June 2010-Sept 2010 Fabricated and characterized a liquid-state Silicon-Zinc solar cell prototype. Conducted testing and data collection of Silicon wafer surface contact resistivity with various doping

techniques. Skills and Certifications

Engineer in Training (Fundamentals of Engineering Exam passed April 2013), Certified Solidworks Associate. Experienced in Solidworks, C, Matlab, LabVIEW, Eagle CAD, Xilinx EDK & SDK, oscilloscopes, function generators.
