(a) Regional Director Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS),Naval Base, Kochi:- Cash less health care of about 300000 Ex-servicemen anddependants through a network of 04 Station HQs, 14 ECHS Polyclinics and 80empanelled hospitals. Payments are processed on-line between empanelled hospitals,Regional Centre and Bill Processing Agency and authorised by Regional Director. Onan average hospital bills worth Rs. 70 Cr are processed and paid in a year. This is anInter-Services organisation, with officers and men from the three Services.

(b) Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Ernakulam:- Training ofabout 20000 college and school students in basic Military Leadership includingWeapon training spread in about 150 Educational Institutions in the districts ofAlleppey, Ernakulam and Thrissur, through 08 NCC Battalions, comprising of 20Service Officers 150 Associate NCC Officers and about 500 other service personnel.NCC is also a Tri-Services organisation.
