River Bluff Water Experience

On six acres of the resort is the River Bluff Water

Experience. Winding through lush landscaping of

native trees and brilliant flowers is an 1100 foot

lazy river. Our thrilling rapids ride is a fast moving

650 foot river ride that takes you into the lazy

river. Another 315 foot slide is another water

experience and yet another way to enter the

spectacular lazy river. Another pool has been

designed to delight our young guests, complete

with water slides and a water fountain splash area.

River Bluff Lazy River

Grab a tube and enjoy the 1,100 foot lazy river! This the a perfect opportunity for guests to take a leisurely float

around the River Bluff Cabanas and leisure pool deck areas.

River Bluff Children’s Pool

Created for activity and child’s play, the Children’s Pool area features a zero depth beach entry pool with two

kiddie slides and multiple spray activities to provide hours of enjoyment. From this area guests can interact with

other floating along the Pedernales River.

River Bluff Adult Pool

Adults can relax and enjoy the views while listening to the waterfall created by the infinite edge along one

side of the adult leisure pool or from the adjacent adult whirlpool.

River Bluff Water Experience Cabanas

Sit back and relax in one of our 7 Grand Cabanas overlooking the

expansive Activity Pool. Each cabana seats up to 8 guests and is

equipped with sofa and chaise lounge seating, private entry into

the activity pool and access to other amenities to ensure a

comfortable experience. Cabana guests also have convenient

access to a private server to enjoy the tastes of the Rivertop Bar

and Grill. Reservations are required. Prices vary depending on

Supervised Children Events

Full-service children’s events offered for our guests, ages 4 to 12. Our days are fun-filled with interactive

games and activities that take advantage of the San Antonio Hill Country Experience. The Resort Experience

Team requires that all participants be fully toilet trained and a parent or guardian be reachable on property

during his/her child’s participation.

Children Event Pricing:

a) 1 – 99 children $15 per child per hour

b) 100 – 249 children $12 per child per hour

c) 250 + children $10 per child per hour

Themed Children Event Pricing:

Teen Lounge

Teen events offered for our guests, ages 13 to 17. The JW San Antonio Resort Experience Team offers a

Private Teen Lounge which includes lounge seating, snack bar with ice cold beverages, ping pong and much

more. The Resort Experience Team requires for an attendant to be stationed in the teen lounge to monitor

the safety and privacy of your guests. Set up Fees starting at $500.

Teen Glow Events

Teen events offered for our guests, ages 13 to 17. The JW San Antonio Resort Experience Team offers a

Private Glow event which includes black lights, glow makeup, snack bar with ice cold beverages, glow ping

pong, dance floor, DJ, laser light show and much more. The Resort Experience Team requires for an

attendant to be stationed in the event to monitor the safety and privacy of your guests. Set up Fees starting

at $800.

Teen Dance Party Events

Teen events offered for our guests, ages 13 to 17. The JW San Antonio Resort Experience Team offers a Teen

Dance Party event which includes snack bar with ice cold beverages, dance floor, DJ, laser light show and

much more. The Resort Experience Team requires for an attendant to be stationed in the event to monitor

Ultimate Teen Events

The JW San Antonio Resort Experience Team offers customizable event for ages 13 to 17. Whether it’s a teen

casino night or sporting event the Resort Experience Team would be more than happy to create a one of a

kind experience for you and your group! The Resort Experience Team requires for an attendant to be

stationed in the event to monitor the safety and privacy of your guests. Set up Fees starting at $1500.

Tennis Court Rentals

Tennis Court Rental Fee:

a) $25 per hour/per court

b) Set Up Fee: $100 for every 4 hours

Tennis Classes:

Tennis Cardio (Adult and Children) –

This high energy fitness activity combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise

delivering an amazing full body calorie burning workout.

1 hour class at $20 person, additional fees will apply for Tennis Court rental and Tennis Pro.

Tennis Clinics (Adult and Children) –

This 90 minute group session helps you hone in on your tennis skills by practicing basic tennis forms and

group play strategies.

1.5 hour class at $35 person, additional fees will apply for Tennis Court rental and Tennis Pro.

Tennis Pro Fee:

a) 1 – 9 Attendees $100 per hour

b) 10 – 19 Attendees $150 per hour

c) 20 Attendees $200 per hour

Private Lessons and Coaching –

Working with a professional is the quickest way to either learn the game of tennis or to take your game to the

next level. With a one on one tennis lesson you are sure to improve your game.

Team Building Activities

Lazy River Rubber Duck Race

This activity is fun for all ages, our JW Marriott San Antonio lazy river rubber duck races, also known as derby duck races, have been used as a method of fundraising for organizations or team building activities. Join us out at the River Bluff Water Experience for fun music and prizes!

Boat Building Regatta

Guests will arrive waterside for their team building activity and find a cruise ship atmosphere. Island music plays, tropical colored flags float in the breeze and guests receive brightly-colored bandannas to wear as team identification for the team building activity. Delight shines on their faces, but this quickly dissolves into a look of surprise as they learn they aren't boarding a boat – they are building one! Then, surprise turns to shock when they discover their boat-building materials consist of nothing more than cardboard and duct tape.

Win It in a Minute Challenges

Teams rotate through a series of challenge stations where they attempt to score the highest in minute-long challenges. For instance, they may have a minute to build the tallest tower that they can using playing cards. Or, they may have to stack three golf balls one on top of another and every team that does so in a minute wins bonus points for their team. Multiple minute-long challenges can be interspersed throughout the game show to energize teams! At the end of the event, the team with the most points overall is revealed and called to the stage to collect their award medals. This activity can be for singles or team challenges.

Music Challenges

Name That Tune and What's The Next Line to popular songs are carefully chosen to highlight your company or meeting theme, or kept generic throughout the corporate team building activity. And, in the Humdinger Challenge, different people come to the stage, listen to a song through headphones and must hum the song to all the teams to help them identify it!

Trivia Challenges

This team building activity includes TV Show Trivia, general Texas trivia, questions about your company, or a mix of the two - you pick the theme! And, in Fact or Fiction, people must determine if the statement read aloud such as, “Can tarantulas really survive for up to two years without food?” is true. Alarmingly, this is a fact!

Physical Challenges

This team building activity incorporates physical challenges too! For instance, the first team to put together a jigsaw puzzle wins bonus points for their team. Or, guests may have to bounce balloons around in the air while music plays. When the music stops, each guest grabs one balloon. Teams aren't told until they are holding their balloon which color balloon is worth how many points for their team.

Marriott All-star Challenge

The JW Marriott is proud to host the Marriott All-star Challenge at our beautiful 6-acre waterpark; teams will compete to finish with the best time and the title of the Marriott All-star. This relay race utilizes the entire 6 acre River Bluff Water Park and test your team mates skills.

Enjoy a private s’mores event while you build your own campfire treat! Roast marshmallows over an open flame
