Connecting to the LAN Network
• Obtain a copy of the ‘Move-In Guide for Residential Students’ from the OIR Information Tables.
• There will be an Ethernet port on the side or back of your computer. Insert one end of the Ethernet cord into the Orange Network (Data) Jack; insert the other end of the Ethernet cord into the Ethernet port on your computer.
• On many computers, a light will appear on the Ethernet port once your computer is connected and turned on.
• Start-up your computer and open either Internet Explorer or Safari (Firefox will not work with our Campus Manager Registration system.)
• Follow the screen prompts to successfully download the security agent onto your computer’s desktop, and successfully register your computer to again access to our network.

• Review ResCon coverage schedule and sign-up for a ResCon to visit your room to assist you with the issue(s.)
• Contact the Technology Help Desk for assistance.
• Please do not call in an issue for another user, as help desk staff will need to speak with user directly to obtain information and perform troubleshooting steps over the phone.
