Reservoir ManagementReservoir Management provides independent reservoir management advice to our clients, which include international oil companies, national oil companies, independent operators and investment groups.Our team comprises over 120 professionals covering the disciplines of geophysics, geology, petrophysics, reservoir and petroleum engineering, completions engineering and petroleum economics. The average experience level of team members is 21 years – this represents a major strength in our quality of delivery.
Over the past 5 years, we have completed 1,000 reservoir studies. These have a global coverage in all major basins and reservoir types, including challenging environments such as HPHT gas condensate, heavy oil and complex fractured reservoirs.
Our approach to reservoir modelling - based on defining uncertainty, understanding its implications and the use of ranges in outcomes - generates better business decisions. Simple problems are solved with simple tools. Where the problems are complex, we pursue detailed modelling until we are satisfied that we have predictive tools which allow us to plan the right development. By using the appropriate degree of modelling complexity, our projects are efficient and cost effective.
EXPERTISEAGR has been performing reserves audits and A&D projects for over a decade on behalf of national and international oil companies, government organisations and banks. These have been used to support listings on stock exchanges, to raise private equity funds, to support acquisition and divestment, and to review operator performance. AGR has supported operators and regulatory bodies in reviewing and designing reserves reporting guidelines and processes.
APPROACH AGR uses its teams of subsurface, facilities and well managment experts to support reserves estimates. The multidisciplinary approach ensures that all technical and commercial aspects of the reserves and resources are fully considered within the audit and conveyed to the client.
In A&D projects, the combination of our subsurface, reserves auditing, commercial evaluation and business skills are applied to evaluating a portfolio. AGR has the expertise to build a tailored fiscal model to evaluate post-tax NPV for most countries. We identify key uncertainties and risks - both upside and downside - to assess the full range of value. For divestment, AGR can compile an Information Memorandum as the prospectus for the sale, and support a dataroom.

03Integrated Field Studies
Reserves, Acquisition & Divestment
Field studies represent the core of AGR Reservoir Management services, encompassing reservoir description, reservoir development planning, reservoir rehabilitation, and definition of exploration and appraisal targets. We incorporate well design and optimisation services within Reservoir Management, and perform economic analysis of field development options using bespoke fiscal models.
AGR Reservoir Management (now incorporating TRACS) performs reserves audit and certification to standards which are accepted by the London Stock Exchange, the SEC and commercial and institutional banks. AGR also reviews and develops reserves reporting guidelines for oil companies and national regulatory bodies. AGR provides valuations of E&P assets offered for Acquisition and Divestment (A&D) on behalf of the seller, the interested buyer or supporting financial institutes.
