After the recent terrorist attack on the iconic Taj Mahal palace and Tower, Taj group wants to conduct a research on its customers, that they still believe in the brand name Taj and its securities or they want to switch to other hotels and what Taj need to do more in order to prevent from these type of attacks in near futures.

Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces is a worldwide chain of luxury hotels and resorts.

The Indian Hotels Company Limited and its subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces.

A part of the Tata Group, one of India's largest business conglomerates, Taj Hotels Resort and Palaces comprises 76 hotels, 7 palaces, 6 private islands and 12 resorts and spas, spanning 52 destinations in 12 countries across 5 continents.

Jamshetji Nusserwanji Tata, founder of the Tata Group, opened the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower the first Taj property, on December 16, 1903.

The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai, a 105-year old heritage hotel, is the flagship hotel of the Taj group.

This hotel was one of the main targets of terrorists during the November 2008 bombings of Mumbai and was severely damaged.

SAMPLE DESIGN

A sample design is a definite plan for obtaining a sample from a given population.

It refers to the technique the researcher would adopt in selecting items for the sample.

Sample design is determine before data are collected.

Researcher must select/prepare a sample design which should be reliable and appropriate for his research study.

SAMPLE SIZE

This refers to the number of items to be selected from the universe to constitute a sample.

The size of a sample should neither be excessively large, nor to small. It should be optimum.

The parameter of interest in research study must kept in view, while deciding the size of the sample.

IT has been observed that due to recent terrorist attack there has been bit slow down, but it has not severely affected the company. In the above graph it can see that company has posted good revenue in the month of January and also February.

But due to global economy meltdown, which has affected almost all the industry all over the world, taj group has been also affected, as more and more companies are going for cost cutting.

WHAT WE GOT TO KNOW FROM RESEARCH

Taj is one of the most respected brand names of India. People are very much emotionally attached to it.

Such terrorist attack can’t change the perception of Taj which people have in their mind.

Way the employees of Taj acted during the crisis time and saved a lot of guests form the attack made every Indian proud. Way they responded to the call of duty was indeed heart touching.

Taj Mahal Palace and Towers will very soon resume with full glory and will continue to shine forever.

CONCLUSION

Taj should spend more on improving securities of its units.

Every customer should be checked properly before allowing them to enter in to Hotel.

Taj should also concentrate on the past criminal records of there employs, if any.

Taj is always a favorite brand among the Indians and will remain forever.

Taj should prove its brand status to its customers by some aggressive advertisement showing its rich heritage

CONTRAST

In the beginning of our research we were thinking that we will get lot of negative views from people regarding the Brand Taj and its units. As a lot of people dies during the terrorist attack and terrorist kept hostage to the civilians for nearly 3 days. Serious questions will be raised regarding the security which Taj is providing to its customers and even there are reports that some of the employees help the terrorist in getting into the hotel premises.

BUT, during the research we came to know that Taj has been always a favorite brand among the people and it will remain forever.

It is one of the best hotels of the world with strong Indian connection which make every Indian proud of it.

Way there employees help the guest during the time of crisis is just shows how dedicated they are towards their service.

Even the G.M of the hotel MR Ravi Kant who continues to help the guest and make sure that they don’t panic in the situation, though he lost his own wife and son in the terrorist attack is one of the most heart touching incident which people around the world are touched by it.
