2. Paranaguá-PR

The deepwater Port of Paranaguá is located in Brazil’s southern state of Paraná and is one of the most important exporting port of agricultural products of the country. It’s considered to be Latin America’s biggest bulk port, and currently, its main exports are soybeans, corn, salt, sugars, fertilizers, poultry meat, alcohols, and vehicles. The Port of Paranaguá is also a large port with an area of inßuence of 10 Brazilian states, namely: Paraná, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul (the three as the main assistants in commercial transitions - US $ 12.49 billion only Paraná, or 72.8% of its international trade; Mato Grosso, with movements of US $ 1.09 billion, or 33.3% of its foreign trade; and Mato Grosso do Sul, with US $ 419.99 million , or 38.4% of its international trade), São Paulo, Santa Catarina, Goiás, Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul.

3. Porto Itapoá Terminal

Porto Itapoá started operations in June 2011, being considered one of the most agile and efficient terminals in Latin America and one of the largest and most important in the country in handling containerized cargoes. Privately managed, it has a structure capable of handling 1, 2 million TEUs per year and the Þnal phase of its expansion is on its way, which will enable the movement of 2 million TEUs annually.

Located on the northern coast of Santa Catarina, Porto Itapoá is positioned among the most productive regions of Brazil, including importers and exporters from the most diverse business segments. In addition to its strategic location, the Terminal is part of Babitonga Bay, offering safe and easy conditions for mooring ships. With calm and deep waters, the bay is ideal for receiving large vessels, a trend increasingly adopted in world navigation.

Born as one of the most modern terminals in the world, Porto Itapoá is inserted in the municipality of Itapoá as a  greenÞeld  project, located far from the urban perimeter of the city, with direct connection to BR 101, has an area of 12 million m², deÞned by the Municipal Master Plan to receive complementary projects.

4. Porto de Navegantes

Located in the city of Navegantes, Santa Catarina state, Portonave started operating in October 2007, as BrazilÕs Þrst private port terminal. Internationally recognized for its quality services and high productivity.

One of Portonave’s important competitive differentials is Iceport, a fully automated cold storage chamber, with six transelevators, and static capacity for 16,000 pallet positions. It also has an antechamber with 13 docks for receiving cargo. Its storage area totals 50,000 sqm. Currently, Portonave’s area totals 400,000 sqm, divided into three mooring berths, in a 900-meter linear deck, with static storage capacity of 30,000 TEUs (a measurement unit equivalent to one 20-foot container).

5. Rio Grande

Privileged for its geographical aspects, the Port of Rio Grande has strong performance in the extreme south of Brazil, being among the most important ports in the American continent in terms of productivity, offering agile and quality services. With a complete operational infrastructure, the port of Rio Grande do Sul is considered the second most important port in the country for the development of Brazilian international trade.  However, Porto does not stop investing in infrastructure, always being in line with international standards.

Another great advantage of the Port of Rio Grande is the availability of diversiÞed and well-distributed modal networks in the territory of Rio Grande do Sul. With an excellent offer of transport infrastructures, including the road, waterway, rail and airport modes, the paths that lead to the gaucho port are in a state of conservation considered one of the best on the national scene. The multimodality of the Port of Rio Grande is an important factor in reducing costs and increasing logistical efficiency, adding greater value to the goods that pass through its facilities.
