Under 6/3's - Lower Mountains 48 - Emu Plains 12 A great end to the season for our under 6's. Our boys were unstoppable with Cully, Coop, Dane, Kai and Byron all running the length of the field to score a whopping 12 tries. Logan always putting his body on the line to make some tough tackles and Maxy the little pocket rocket always there to support. All the boys have grown and bonded as a team which shows out there on the field with their team work and sportsmanship. Congratulations on a wonderful season boys.

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 48 - St Marys 56

Another nail biting game going up against St Mary’s and unfortunately not walking away with the win. The boys defence at times was spectacular pulling together as a team we saw some terrific tackles from Jett, and Jackson. Logan was todays all-rounder in defence and attack making some strong runs. Shaun, Cody and Brayden showed us their speed making full field runs. Cayden, Craig and Andrew pushed through the St Marys defence each making strong runs. Player of the Week went to Logan Jackson.Tries. Jackson Stanford 3, Jett Jensen 2, Logan Jackson 2, Cody Mackin 2, Andrew Jones 2, Brayden Frias.

Under 7/2's – Lower Mountains 48 - St Marys 48 Chilly start to the day with frost on the ground and freezing little fingers, our players worked hard for their tied game. Austin scored 4 tries today defiantly a stand out performance from him. Jaxon scored 3 Noah and Eddie scored 2 and Lucas 1 try as well. There were some big impressive runs from Connor and Noah today.  Lucas and Eddie got some great tackles in. Jaxon and Noah have increased incredibly with their stepping through the opposition. Team worked very well on staying within the lines of the field today.

Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 8/2's – Lower Mountains 20 - St Clair 24 The 8s had a mixed day with some strong efforts and then some that looked a little tired, against what appeared a bigger St Clair side. Phoenix Fitzpatrick and Noah Worth topped the defensive count this week making St Clair work very hard for their points. Other strong defensive efforts came from Justin Sykes and Will Bloomy with Angus Wills making two excellent low tackles on bigger opposition. Our attack was well contained in patches this week, although Jack Buttriss and Hamish Wills were always trying, probing left and right touchlines. Harry Summers crafted two excellent tries from mid field, beating a good handful of players both times. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough and in the last quarter St Clair grabbed a late try after we had levelled up to push them right to the end.

Under 9/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 9/2's – Lower Mountains 30 - West City Tigers 36

This was our last game and the kids all had a fun time. We played a determined Tigers team who wanted the win, their last game and their first win. Abbie had a great Captains game while Player of the Match Charles stood out in both attack and defence. I hope all the kids have enjoyed their footy experience this year and they want to come back and do it all again next year. Special thanks to our sponsors BDA Building, Managers Mel and Amanda, Trainers Brad, Paul, Glenn and Ben and all the parents. Thanks for the opportunity to be your Coach.

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 10/2's - Lower Mountains 24 - Brothers 18 When two top teams meet, You always  expect a great game of footy and today did not let us down, With both teams holding strong  in defence it would need the best players from both side's to step up and show  how  much they wanted the 'Win', And today's game showed that with a great team effort to win 24-18  over Brothers , and finish  the year equal firstPlayers player Sebastian Archibald

Under 11 – Lower Mountains 24 - Doonside 30 Not our week this week, going down to Doonside by a try. We matched each other try for try , but with 5mins to go doonside went over for a try. Haydn did a great run to level the scores but just missed the line. Great try boys on a freezing morning. On we go into the finals, big training sessions this week, ready for a big game ahead

Under 12/1's – Lower Mountains 10 - Blacktown City 20 The last game before the semi finals saw us up against competition leaders Blacktown who have only lost 1 game all year, they got off to an early lead thanks to some mistakes in our own half and some slow motion play from our boys. We defended reasonably well to only be down 14-0 at half time. The second half we really lifted our intensity and defensive attitude, and got back in the game thanks to tries from Riley Barglik and Harry Watson to be down 14-10 with 5 to go, Blacktown scored a try just before the siren to push the score out, but our boys can be very proud of the effort put in, we will be better in the finals. Players’ player went to Harry Watson

Under 12/2's –

UNDER 13/1's – Lower Mountains 34 - Cambridge Park 10 Needing to beat Cambridge Park to wrap up the minor premiership the boys came prepared to play footy.Playing to our structure and defending well the boys jumped to an early lead and really did not look back running out comfortable winners. Our forwards set a solid platform for our backs to play some very attractive attacking Rugby League.Winning the Minor Premiership is a very good achievement and the boys should be proud of their achievements. This however is only the entrée and the main course is the Premiership. We will need to play at this level or better for the next couple of games to achieve this.Mitchell Nass-Star,Mitchell Hayllar,Sam Squire,Angus Moore,Oliver Rheinberger,Justin Fowler and Billy Zammit were terrific today.Sam and Mitch Nass scored doubles,Jack Hobson, and Justin also scored tries. With Justin kicking 2 and Jack 3 goals.

Under 13/2's – Lower Mountains

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 10 - St Clair 28 The boys had a tough task ahead of them playing against St Clair. Last time the two teams met lower Mtns won a close battle. This game was to secure 6th spot on this years ladder, & for the boys to finish this high on the ladder playing first year in the 1st division would be a massive achievement. Sadly the opposition were to good for us on the day. Well done boys, one more game to go let's enjoy our last week of training & have some fun lads..

Under 15's – Lower Mountains 6 - Brothers 10 Congratulations to our team finishing minor premiers today. An evenly contested match but we weren’t able to finish it off through some very unlucky game changes. The game  didn't go as we planned but there has been a lot of great footy played this season. There were many positives from the match, there was a lot of great hard tackles, the steal, passing and lots of teamwork and support of each other on and off the field! The boys are preparing to head into the finals and continue their form they have had all season. Hold your heads high boys. We are very proud of you of all! Been a heck of a season

Under 6/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 6/2's – Lower Mountains 48 - Doonside 8 In what is the last home game for us the under 6-2,s they did not disappoint in putting in a great performance for our home fans. Starting off with a bang scoring off the kickoff . playing a much bigger side little brax with no fear was in there tackling and proving that size dosnt matter. With ball in hand, the girls izzy and boo excelled both crossing for tries, and also helping the boys with great defence . Little james also showed us what a pocket rocket he is running the length of the field. The brothers arron and Tyson continued as they do each week, running amuck with the ball and tackling with venom. Chase the little whippet of the team continues each

week tackling anything that moves and also proving uncontainable with ball in hand .Tries: chase 4, Tyson 3, brax arron boo izzy james with 1 eachAs the coach im so pround of this team and how much they have grown in the 10 games we have played .with the majority of the team turning 7 next year ,I hope the kids decided to continue playing and furthering there skills as they will be a cracking side .Lower mts 48 doonside 8 Thank you to our sponsors Equiptrade and Norgate Haulage

Under 6/3's - Lower Mountains

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 52 - Windsor 56 For our last home game of the season the boys went up against Windsor in a game that could have gone either way right up until the end we were unlucky not to walk away with the win with Windsor scoring on the buzzer. Cayden and Craig pushed through making some great runs up the centre, and the determination paid off with Craig scoring his first try of the season and Cayden also going over for a try. Our defence was a little off, but when the boys pulled together we saw some outstanding tackles from Jett, Logan, and Andrew. Shaun, Jackson, Brayden and Cody showed us their speed and quick step making full field runs and seeing each one over the line. Player of the Week went to Craig Williams who is improving each week and always gives it his all. Tries for LM. Logan Jackson 3, Andrew Jones 3, Cody Mackin 2, Brayden Frias 2, Shaun Maher, Craig Williams, Cayden Lowe, Jackson Stanford.

Under 7/2's – Lower Mountains 36 - Colyton 44 Another close game today, both teams were without reserves and pushed through to play a great game to watch. This game our kids were passing the ball a lot more. The team is working so well together, it is clear that they are bonding and the respect for each other has grown. Noah Hicks scoring 3 tries, he also made a lot of ground that lead to his other team mates scoring tries. Jaxon Boyd also scored 3 tries; he has been a very important part of our defence always going for the opposition to tackle them down. As always Lucas Tom powers through the game, his resiliencies always impresses me. Austin Wall, Connor Reynolds and Eddie Frew all scored one try each and also played like little champs;)

Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains 0 - Windsor 22

This was the long awaited clash with Windsor after the first round when LM’s was beaten after the bell despite leading for the majority of the match.  Unfortunately, we left our best game behind somewhere and Windsor were just too well drilled and persistent on the day and ran out easy winners.  That is not to say that LM’s didn’t try, they did but it was just not their day.  Ben Gomez, captain for the day, was outstanding and tried to rally his troops with good support from Lincoln McLoughlin, Nicolas Peat and Abbey-Lee Larcombe.  Zane Williams made some incisive runs whilst Jake Alliston was his usual reliable self and Isaac Leaney, Coen Werner and Blake Nelson all tried hard.  Luke Clunes was playing well until injured.  Errors in the ruck, poor tackling and lack of respect for the side line all played a part In our defeat.

Under 8/2's – Lower Mountains 24 - Emu Plains 10 Best game of the year for our 8s this week. Even more so impressive, because it has been on the back of two other team best performances. I don’t remember an error in play this week and it resulted in near best performances from all of our players. Special mention to Hamish Wills who not only played through a banged-up ankle, scoring an important try as well as making an excellent cover tackle to stop one also. Both Phoenix Fitzpatrick and Harry Summers were at the top of the tackle count and scored to boot. We were nil all for the entire first quarter, so impressive was the defence from both sides. Justin, Will and Noah were like a stone wall, and it was again just as impressive with ball in hand as they barged over the advantage line with each run. Angus Wills broke open the game with one of our best tries for the year. Our attack was composed and with runners of the ball like Jack Buttriss, the tries started to come and we edged away 5 tries to 2

Under 9/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 9/2's – Lower Mountains 14 - St Clair 26 This was a rough game. Our team played in the best spirit of the game and conducted themselves well after some decisions didn’t go their way, under the Captainship of Charles. We were in this game all the way to the whistle with Player of the Match Abby taking some great runs and getting into the play. We are getting better every week and the team love their footy, so that’s makes it worthwhile.

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 10/2's - Lower Mountains 22 - Colyton 16

Week by week , The team is slowly learning the basic rule of football and that any team can win on the day if they play from start to finish , And today the boys and girls showed that with a hard fought win over Colyton  22-16  and move into equal secondMan of the match Kane Griffith

Under 11 – Lower Mountains 18 - St Marys 46 Very tough game this week for our little champions. We tried hard with so much determination but unfortunately it wasn’t our day.Wayne, Will, Andrew and Michelle are so proud of the effort that every player put in today.Lets move forward , and get ready for another big game next week.

Under 12/1's – Lower Mountains 36 - Glenmore Park 0 For the 2nd week in a row we played Glenmore Park, last week we scraped home to beat them 28-18, this week was a different story, we totally out played them in every area, it was great to see the boys control the football with minimal errors and our defence was once again outstanding to keep Glenmore Park to nil was a great effort. Good win boys and now we need to focus and prepare for the semi’s starting with Blacktown next week. Tries-Brock Stapleton (2), Riley Barglik, Hayden Stevens, Cayd Ryan, Tylar Jennings. Players’ player went to Ben Busch

Under 12/2's –

UNDER 13/1's – Lower Mountains 20 - Blacktown Workers 18 With Blacktown leading our boys by a point on the competition ladder obviously to maintain our minor premiership aspirations we had to win. With this in mind the boys played terrific footy in the 1st half.Mostly playing to our game plan,no errors no silly penalties and playing some attractive attacking footy. Most importantly we presented Blacktown with a straight line in defence not allowing the “steppers” anywhere to go.Scoring some great try’s we led 16-0 at half time. The high light of the 1st half was kick across field by Mitch “cronk” Hayllar into the waiting arms of Jussy Fowler for a State of Origin like try.I would love to say we did the same in the second half but alas I can’t.With 3 silly errors/penalties in the 1st 5 minutes of the second half set the platform for the second half.

We allowed Blacktown way to much ball causing our defence to become brittle. Our defensive line failed to slide and we gave the Blacktown centre too much room and he cut us to pieces. We need to play for the entire game if we are to win this premiership. However the end result was what we were after winning 20-18.Billy Zammit,Cleve Armstrong,Ashton “Devil” Taylor,Tom Debien,Jack Hobson,Jasper Taylor and Sam Squire all played strong.Tries to Sammy 2,Mitchell Nass-Starr and Jussy Fowler and 2 goals to Jack Hobson.

Under 13/2's – Lower Mountains

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 6 - Windsor 36 Lower Mtns were up against a tough opposition Windsor wolves. The boys started the game really well matching set for set against Windsor also keeping up with the Scoreline 6 all in first 10min. Unfortunately fundamental errors with & without the ball in this years top division isn't going to help our cause off competing against good opposition.

Under 15's – Lower Mountains 50 - Colyton 0 A very strong attacking performance by the boys this week evoking the mercy rule to seize victory 50 to NilA variety of set plays, great passing and team work resulted in tries scored from various points on the field particular up the middle and out on the wingWilliam McLaren was the first to open scoring with tries following from Jason Oxley, Elijan Plowman, Jackson Potter and Khy Lake. Our boys also played strong defensively to hold out a determined Colyton side. Jesse Wiggins provided some runs and breaks up the middle, solid defence from Lachlan Attard who is just a defensive machine and good attacking breaks from Indy Cairns and Ben Greening. Boys are looking forward to next weeks game

Under 16-18 – GIRLS -

Under 16/1's - Lower Mountains

Under 16/2's -

Under 17's - Lower Mountains 40 - Brothers 18 Our best performance in a couple of weeks. Half time we were in the lead by 28:6.The team were able to maintain the lead convincingly in the second half. The final score being 40:18.Two tries to Jack Crouch and Jackson Dunn. Another team effort. Bring on the finals.

Under 19's - Lower Mountains 6 - Riverstone 32 Great effort from the boys again this week with 11 of our players and 2 under 17s backing up.gutsy performanceTries J SandfordGoal D King

Round 1(Wash Out Round) Match ReportsSaturday 8th July/Sunday 9th July

Under 6/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 6/2's – Lower Mountains 40 - Emu Plains 28 Under 6,2 took on Emu Plains today. Well it was a cracker of a game!Great hard tackles from Brax, Chase and Tyson.Ruby running the field through them all to score today.Little James was off flying, he may be little, though he has the power to run the distance and score. Aaron, Izzy and Boo all managed to have a great game with some tackles and great team work.Last time we played this team we were defeated, so today was a great result and showed that the team indeed have improved overall.Tries: Chase: 4, Tyson: 2, Ruby:1, Brax :1, James:1, Boo:1

Under 6/3's - Lower Mountains v Cambridge Park Another great game for the boys today. Cambridge Park only had 4 players so Cully and Coop played for their team. Great sportsmanship boys!  Dane was unstoppable racing up the field. Kai with his awesome stepping was no match for the other team. Logan and Maxy our youngest but fiercest players getting in on every tackle and great supporting. Byron showing his strength barreling through the opposition. David having another great game showing great improvement in ball skills. Lots of smiles, laughs and fun had by all which is what the game is all about.

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 40 - Emu Plains 24 The boys went up against Emu Plains in the wash out round this weekend, being 3 players down the boys had to give it their all and each boy stepped up to the mark which saw some terrific team work and the boys walk away with the win. Shaun again this week was unstoppable in attack which saw him cross the line for 2 great tries. The boys were a little slow moving up off the line but some terrific tackles were made from Andrew and Logan. Cayden, Jett and Craig all played well pushing through Emus defence. Tries Logan Jackson 6, Shaun Maher 2, Jett Jensen, Andrew Jones. Player of the week this week was Jett Jensen and Logan Jackson. A big thank you to Elizabeth Armstrong who stood in as manager for us today.

Under 7/2's – Lower Mountains 44 - Doonside 28 Cracking game from the under 7/2's this week. Connor scored his first try of the season well done. Austin had an outstanding game scoring two. The team is really starting to gel well together.

Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains 22 - Emu Plains 16 This was our worst performance all year highlighted by poor ball control, poor defence and a lack of regard for the sideline.  We were very lucky to get away with a win in this match and that was largely due to the fact that Emu Plains played even worse than we did.  The three best players on the day were Luke Clunes, Jake Alliston and Lincoln McLoughlin with good support from Nicolas Peat and Coen Werner.   Zane Williams made some good runs and tried hard as did Blake Nelson and Abbey-Lee Larcombe.  To be fair the team was disrupted due to the loss of Ben Gomez (away) and Isaac Leaney (ill) and this was particularly evident in the last half of the match with an inexperienced half combination.  On the plus side it was good to see the players trying to off load and back up the attacking players.  Nick, Coen, Zane & Jake stood out in this regard.   Lower

Mountains 22 (Tries to Peat, Williams, McLoughlin & Clunes, goals to Peat, Williams & Clunes) defeated Emu Plains 16.

Under 8/2's – Lower Mountains 32 - Windsor 16In the absence of two of our better defenders in Will Bloomy and Hamish Wills, the 8s were back in the winners circle against Windsor this week. Our boys had a few of the younger players play up this week, so a special thanks to Cully, Sean and Andy who played with no fear and offered special efforts, particularly running the ball. Jack Buttriss dashed ahead in the try scoring, grabbing a hattrick before Windsor even knew it and Phoenix was rewarded with a great try after a few searching runs. Harry and Angus were at their most evasive and were able to beat a handful of defenders with each of their tries.  From there, all our 8s needed to do was defend the lead and with the extra responsibility Justin and Noah got thru a mountain of work. Actually both Justin and Noah had a special run in the game too. Gutsy effort down on troops, nice to see the players step up too.

Under 9/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 9/2's – Lower Mountains 16 - Riverstone 44 The score line might not reflect it, but this was a very competitive game. The opposition scored most of their points in the first half after some poor play and mistakes from our team. But we really rattled them in the second half with some great attacking play and tough defence. We certainly won the second half. Player of the match Baiden took some great dummy half runs making lots of metres while Captain Brayden ran rings through their defence. Well done to all players.

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains 32 - Windsor 20 We came up against windsor this week with our team missing some key players due to holidays. We had Charles and Alexis from the under 9 /2s back up for us and they played exceptionally well with some great strong runs and some try saving tackles. We had some great individual performances and a special mention for Tyler and Liam scoring their first try. We went try for try throughout the game but were able to go back to back tries to get us home with a 32-20 win.Player of the Match went to Preston Tom.

Under 10/2's - Lower Mountains 32 - St Patricks 18

Down at St Pats home ground this week to make up for washout round 1. The first half was nail biting, try for try and leading only by 2 points into the 2nd half, the team then regrouped and got their head in the game. With some great defence and chasing down some of St Pats fast runners, the Blues then scored another 3 tries to give a strong lead and bring home the win 32-18.Players player of the week is Lewis.

Under 11 – Lower Mountains 24 - Emu Plains 12 Washout round , played emu again. They brought their a game.Despite us having a few players away from school holidays we managed to dig deep and get the win.Great determination boys , lets keep training hard for next weeks tough game to come .Thanks for your help Tanna ! Coaches Award – Patrick ConatyManagers Award  – Nicholas Wells

Under 12/1's – Lower Mountains 28 - Glenmore Park 18 This week we took on Glenmore Park at Warrimoo, we once again started the game poorly giving away penalties and dropping the ball, Glenmore Park were able to make the most of our mistakes to jump to a 6-0 early lead, we were lucky to get back to 6 all just before half time thanks to a try from Harry Watson, The 2nd half was much better as we managed to hold the ball for longer periods of play, our defense was better but still not quite our best and we managed to keep the opposition to just 18 points, which is a good effort considering we only had 12 players for the whole game. Pat Bourke got himself a hat trick of tries including a length of the field special after the siren and Tylar Jennings also scored for us to win 28-18 . Players’ player went to Pat Bourke

Under 12/2's –

UNDER 13/1's – Lower Mountains 4 - St Clair 14 We played St Clair today for the 3rd time this year winning the 1st and drawing the 2nd.We therefore expected a tough game. This we certainly got.St Clair’s line speed and defence was outstanding and were up and in the boys faces all game. This obviously made it difficult for our boys to show anything in attack which saw us limited to scoring 1 try.

Our defence was severely tested as well and apart from one poor effort where St Clair’s big forward ran through the middle of the ruck we were strong. As a result of St Clair’s strong defence we did get away from our game plan which caused us to make some poor decisions. We will need to correct this in the coming weeks.A massive thank you to Hayden Stevens,Ben Leaney and Tyler Jennings for backing up from the 12’s to help us out.Their tackling technique and effort was enormous well done boys. For our boys Cleve Armstrong,Sam Squire and Ashton “Devil” Taylor played great.Try to Sam.

Under 13/2's – Lower Mountains

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 46 - Emu Plains 4 The boys had to back up last weeks win with a good performance this week against a determined opposition Emu Plains who were chasing there first win of the competition. Our forwards playing well setting up a good platform for our halves to play outstanding footy. Great structured footy with the ball & awesome line speed in defence set up a great team win 46-4.Well done boys great team performance..

Under 15's – Lower Mountains

Under 16-18 – GIRLS -

Under 16/1's - Lower Mountains 12 - Windsor 34 We took on the huge Windsor side today and similar to every other game this year we played extremely well except for a 10 minute period. In this period Windsor scored 18 points and for the remainder of the game the score was 16-12 to our opposition. A combination of a short bench and some silly errors cost us dearly every week. The effort and skill shown by our lads is enormous and I couldn’t be more proud of them. The Penrith Junior League is one of the best in the world and to compete so well in this arena is a credit to the boys effort.Cameron Kitching,Tom Lewis,Ryan Skinner,Dylan Hughes,Jack Tyrell and Mitch Corey played strong.Tries to Mitch and Dylan. Goals to Jesse Poulsen and Cameron.

Round 11 Match ReportsSaturday 1st July/Sunday 2nd July

Under 6/1's – Lower Mountains 54 - Waratahs 6A high scoring win this week to the under 6s with, 9 tries to 1. This week we had the boys working on the role of dummy half and staying with the play to make multiple efforts passing the ball to the runners. Although Logan and David were desperately unlucky to grab a try today, they both had a super run or two. Kai, Cooper, Dane and Cully all grabbed a bunch of tries and were very busy keeping the Waratahs to just 1 try in the game.

Under 6/2's – Lower Mountains 32 - Brothers 16

Under 6/3's - Lower Mountains

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 56 - West City Tigers 36The boys toke what they have been learning at training and put it into action this week and walked away with a well-deserved win. Our attack in the first half was spot on with some hard-strong runs coming from each of the boys. Craig was a standout making a massive run up the field with the support of his team he pushed through and was unlucky not to go over the

line. Shaun and Andrew again this week put on a great show making some great tackles and each of them making top runs to see them over the line more than once. We saw Jackson, Logan and Cody give us a taste of their speed chasing down the tiger’s defence time after time. Brayden, Jett and Cayden put in some tough runs pushing through the defence. Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains 32 - Colyton 10The team was shocked by a very early try to Colyton but soon dropped into their pattern of play and began to get over the top of their opponents.  Despite the final score this was a better performance from Colyton and the LM’s side needed to dig deep to defeat them.  A couple of cheeky tries from Abbey-Lee Larcombe kicked things off and with the support of Jake Alliston, Lincoln McLoughlin, Luke Clunes and Coen Werner, who all had strong and outstanding games,LM’s soon ran to a handly lead.  Zane Williams and Nicolas Peat both stood out with very strong runs and solid defence.  Ben Gomez was particularly strong in defence and Luke Clunes consistently kept the Colyton attack on the back foot with “up in their face” defence and some good runs.  Blake Nelson had another strong game with strong runs and powerful defence whilst Isaac Leaney provided excellent direction at first receiver and later ran and defended well when divested of that role.  Well done team.  Lower Mountains 32 (Tries to ALLISTON 3, LARCOMBE 2 and CLUNES, goals to ALLISTON, WERNER, CLUNES & WILLLIAMS) defeated Colyton 10.

Under 8/2's – Lower Mountains 36 - Brothers 18The Lower Mountains boys played a tough and vastly improved game against Brothers this week. It was easy for our boys to recall the pumping they received earlier in the year and we were determined to show our best performance. The task was set that the game was to be won with defence and in the first three quarters there was only a try that separated the scores. Justin and Will set the tone with amazing front on middle defence while Phoenix and Noah topped the tackle count. It was great to see every player in the team make a special effort in “D” across the game with Harry and Hamish making excellent cover efforts also. Jack Buttriss went close, twice, with ball in hand but it was Angus’ attacking running that created the stand out opportunity, grabbing a crafty try to get us level just after half time. In the end Brothers snuck away in the final bit of the game, but the defence shown individually will only improve as the team efforts become more common place.

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains 50 - Windsor 0 Another great game played by our team today, running away with a 50-0 win against windsor. Some outstanding individual efforts put in but as a team our defence was 2nd to none. Its great to see the hard work these kids put in at training is paying off.Player of the Match went to Lucas after scoring his first try and kicked a great conversion. And was unstoppable in the first half running as dummy half.

Under 10/2's - Lower Mountains 48 - Minchinbury 18 After last week’s nail biting win against St Clair we were back home against Minchinbury. When we played in the first round we racked up a big score & this seemed to be on the kidsmind in the first half. Even though Minchinbury were short on players they very nearly wentinto the half time break with the lead, but for a try right on the half time bell from a tip off. The second half saw a refocused team come out ready to play the style we know they can.Three quick tries in a row & some good goal kicking got us back on the front foot. But it wasthe improved attitude to defence that impressed the most, moving up together & sticking intackles, keeping the Jets to one try in the second half. Players player was Taylor. Lastly, a big thanks to Billy & Braydan from the 9-2s for stepping up & playing really wellagainst bigger, older opposition.

Under 11 – Lower Mountains 42 - Emu Plains 28Great competitive game of footy, we were going try for try but we came up strong in the end.All the boys played great attacking football, and fantastic defense as well.Nice to get another win at home.Well done boys keep up the hard workThanks for your help Tanna ! Coaches Award – Daniel FraserManagers Award  – Liam Milton

Under 12/1's – Lower Mountains 22 - West City Tigers 18

Up against last placed Wests City Tigers we were expecting a win, but the boys relaxed a little too much and we found ourselves behind 6-0 early on, the 1st half was not our best half of footy as we gave away penalties and kept on dropping the ball, we were lucky to hit back with a try before half time to Finn Newell which saw us go to the sheds locked up at 6 all. The second half was a much better brand of footy with the boys correcting their errors and running some good lines and tackling well, Riley Barglik scored himself a second half hat trick putting in a man of the match performance, in the end we ran away with the game to win 22-6. Players’ player went to Riley Barglik

UNDER 13/1's – Lower Mountains 44 - West City Tigers 12Needing to win to keep our aspirations of winning the minor premiership alive the boys started the game in great fashion.Playing good structured footy ending up scoring 3 tries in the 1st few minutes of the game with Jasper Taylor scoring the 1st 2 and converting both. After the frantic start the intensity level of the boys dropped off a little and we let the game meander along moving away from our game plan.We did manage to score a few more tries ending up with 44 points.Disappointingly we let in 2 soft tries. To win the competition we need to be more disciplined with the ball and defend like we did at the start of the year.Tries to Jasper 2,Mitchell Nass-Star 2,sam Squire 2,Billy Zammit 1,Cleve Armstrong 1 2 Goals to Jasper,2 to Jack Hobson,1 to Cleve and 1 to Ben Muddle.Mitchell Nass-Star,Jasper Taylor Ben Muddle and Riley Milton played great

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 26 - Minchinbury 16The boys started the game fast scoring in the first 5min to hit the lead 6-0. Our forwards laying the platform through out the entire game was our best all season so far. Going into halftime with a 12-6 lead the boys had to lift a another level knowing Minchinbury were going to come back at the boys hard & fast. The team held there nerves to come back after the opposition scored 2 quick tries after halftime to win against one the top 4 teams in this years competition. Great win boys, well done. Big thank you to Sam S from the 13s for backing up.

Under 15's – Lower Mountains 24 - Glenmore Park 12Showing great determination and sticking with it right till the end the boys secured a hard fought win against in form Glenmore Park side. Once again

super effort as a team with Jason Oxley and Indi Cairns taking the lead and played outstanding. Bring on next week to play even better footy!

Under 16-18 – GIRLS -

Under 16/1's - Lower Mountains 12 - St Clair 30Having  a Saturday afternoon home game the boys were fired up for a big game against St Clair one of the glamour sides of the competition. The game started at a frantic pace with both sides throwing the ball around in great style. Our boys gave as good as they got in defence and the game was in the balance at half time with St Clair leading 10-6.Unfortunately the 1st 10 minutes of the second half proved disastrous for us with St Clair putting on 3 quick tries. We quickly got back into the game but the gap to make was too much.Week after week the boys compete with the opposition for 75% of the game playing great 1st Division footy it is just that other 25% that kill us.It was tough on the weekend with only 2 on the bench and with 2 of the boys sick with the flu.The heart shown by the boys every week is awesome.Tries to Jack Treasure and  Jesse Poulsen and 2 goals to Jesse Poulsen. All 15 of the boys played great but Dylan Hughes,Tom Lewis Justin Geri,Jack Tyrell,Mitchell Corey Jake Betar and Jesse Poulsen stood out.

Saturday 24th June/Sunday 25th June

Under 6/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 6/2's – Lower Mountains

Under 6/3's - Lower MountainsThe scene was set for a great match, we had all of our boys ready to play. What a great start to the game today, Cooper scored a goal in the first 3 seconds! Way to go Coop!  We welcomed our newest team member David, who was our man of the match this week. Great game Dave! Max and Logan our youngest but toughest on the field getting in on every tackle and taking on the biggest team members on the opposition with no fear. Cullen and Byron were strong as ever in defense keeping Blacktown away from our try lines. Kai showed great skill with some excellent foot work with Dane and Jackson dominating the field with their speed. Another awesome game all round with inspiring team work by all our boys.

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 40 - Colyton 72 Our boys went up against a strong Colyton side this weekend. It toke the boys the first quarter to warm up and get into gear which allowed Colyton to get in front from the get go and we just couldn’t catch up unfortunately. Coming off from the break the boys came together and played as a team which saw Logan score a brilliant try this was backed up with Brayden going over and the boys got they fire back. Cody put in a top effort in defence and his speed saw him making some top runs, Cayden made some strong runs up the centre and was unlucky not to see the try line.  Shaun’s hard work paid off after some hard runs he got through Colyton’s defence and went over for a well-deserved try. The confidence in Craig’s defence improves week after week with him getting in there and giving it his all and Andrew was non-stop all game scoring a great try off the kick off. Tries for LM Logan Jackson 4, Andrew Jones 3, Brayden Frias 2, Shaun Maher. Player of the week went to Shaun Maher.

Under 7/2's – Lower Mountains 28 - Glenmore Park 56Wonderful game again today again!! All of our players are giving 100% Our team has progressed so far from day one till present. Particularly tackling today was our stand out improvement. Another major advancement is our player’s ball security when they are being tackled by the opposition. The children have learnt so much from our Coach Julie and it is very clear today that they have been listening and putting their training into practice.

Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains 30 - Minchinbury 0Another fine effort from the team and it was gratifying to see the players putting into practice what has been taught at training.  The boys/girl are learning to run onto the ball and the dummy half/first receiver combinations are working well.  Good hard running by Nick Peat, Zane Williams and Coen Werner set a wonderful example for the likes of Jake Alliston, Luke Clunes & Blake Nelson to weave their magic in penetrating runs.  In defence the team did not move up as well as last week but everyone was keen and tried very hard.  Lincoln McLoughlin, Jake Alliston and Blake Nelson were stand-outs on the day in both attack and defence whilst Abbey-Lee Larcombe and Ben Gomez were close behind.  Keeping Minchinbury scoreless is a clear indication of the enthusiasm and strength of our defence.  Lower Mountains 30 (Tries to J. ALLISTON 2, L. McLOUGHLIN, B. GOMEZ & L. CLUNES, goals to GOMEZ, CLUNES & WILLIAMS) defeated Minchinbury 0.

Under 8/2's – Lower Mountains 32 - Waratahs 30The Lower Mountains boys played an enjoyable to watch game against Waratahs at home this Saturday. Our points started early with Harry Summers grabbing a long range try, unlucky not to have a nabbed second in the second half. Jack and Phoenix both grabbed those doubles but our man of the match today was Will Bloomy with a bunch of damaging runs and a great try to cap off. The team worked well on the other side of the ball with Justin Sykes and Noah Worth again stopping all that came near them. The Wills, Hamish and Angus were excellent with ball in hand and both made some excellent effort on the edge. One of the better games of the season with just a bit more work to be made of gang tackles of our bigger opponents.

Under 9/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 9/2's – Lower Mountains 6 - Riverstone 46We played the ‘top of the ladder – undefeated’ team today and we lost, but we held our own, defended well, busted their defensive line, forced the opposition to make errors, put points on the board and played like a team. A massive improvement from last game and I could see that everyone enjoyed themselves on the paddock. Jack had a great Captains game with some bruising tackles while Player of the Match Jai had some great runs and converted his own try. A much better performance all round. Well done team.

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains 40 - Doonside 12After 2 weeks off and dropping down to div 4, our guys came out against Doonside and played like superstars, and as the game went on we just got better and better.Up 16-6 at half-time we came out firing in the second half running away with the win and our first for the season winning 40-12.

Huge congratulations to all the players, finally getting the win monkey off our back, the sky is the limit. Great job. Man of the match went to Joe Zammit.

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 0 - Brothers 24

The boys went into this game full of confidence playing against Brothers who are second on the competition ladder. Lower Mtns went away from there game plan & instead played into Brothers hands by trying to play one up bash footy which is not what we do at training. Defensively we were good but when you give away cheap ball against a good opposition, we will get punished. A big thank you to our club captain Jamie Hooley for helping out running water for the boys.

Under 15's – Lower Mountains 52 - Doonside 0 Continuing their winning form with a very convincing win against a very strong hearted Doonside 52 to nilThe boys played well defensively not allowing Doonside to score at all. Strong tackling across the whole team with some really great hit ups. The boys played great sets with great runs up the middle and tries scored from the wings with great passes and speed. Tries scored by Khy Lake, Jackson Potter, William McLaren, Jesse Wiggins and Elijah Plowman. This game highlighted how much team work and bonding exists with these players on and off the field. Great work team and well deserved win

They just keep turning up every week. The team had injuries and so needed to get two under 16 players back for our game. The first have we appeared to lack the enthusiasm that the other team did. We ended half time 12:nil down. A great coach speech at half time inspired the team to put on 36 unanswered points in the second half to win 36:12. Two tries to Riley Stokes and Jack Crouch were outstanding. Another great team performance. This is now six wins in a row. Well done boys!

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 40 - Glenmore Park 20 The Under 7/1s went up against Glenmore Park this weekend. The boys put on a terrific effort in the 1st quarter working together as a team in both defense and attach. Andrew was unstoppable in dummy half and making sure everyone got a run. Pocket rocket Logan played a strong game making some beautiful runs, Cody scored a well-earned try after a tough run. Jett, Brayden and Cayden put in a solid effort.  Shaun was todays all-rounder making some fantastic runs and backing this up with some terrific tackles and Craig powered through Glenmore’s defense and was unlucky not to score pulling up just short of the line. Tries for LM Logan Jackson 3, Brayden Frias 3, Jett Jensen 2, Cayden Lowe, Cody Mackin. Player of the Week went to Andrew Jones for his efforts in dummy half and some great defense.

Under 7/2's – Lower Mountains 16 - Minchinbury 40We were off to a slow start with opposition not having a coach and manager arranged for the game, so we had to start with grounds manager being coach and another member of oppositions committee Managing (without a table to score on either).   Our guys were up for a challenge today as the opposition were much larger then our team and were much harder to tackle. Eddie managed to get their largest player to the ground with much persistence. Liev is gaining more confidence with longer plays on the field and strong team spirit. Connor worked hard the whole game watching the opposition to tackle them and was very involved player.

Jaxon our big try scorer was challenged by the defence of the other team today, however he still managed to weave through and score 4 impressive tries. As usual Austin put his heart and soul into the game, chasing down the opposition every opportunity he was given to tackle them down. Lucas and Noah played the ball with incredible determination today, ran hard, got tackled hard and kept on pushing through this tough game. They both made some serious ground on the field when the ball was our possession with some very nail biting moments. And also big thank you to Andrew for coming and coaching today!!

Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 8/2's - Lower Mountains 28 - Quakers Hill 12First point of order, must schedule some goal-kicking practise! The 8’s ran in 6 tries to 2 and across the entire team, all boys put in a tremendous effort. Our try scorers this week were Phoenix, Harry, Angus, Jack Buttriss twice, and Hamish Worth with a special thanks to Nich Peats from the other 8s team that filled in with a special try assist off-load in traffic. While our attack was spread across the park, so too was our defence, with special efforts from Will Bloomfield, Noah Worth and Justin Sykes, who was pretty handy with strong carries too. MOM effort went to Jack Buttriss who was dazzling in attack (2 tries) and also a stack of edge defence. The boys are playing tougher week by week, just need to work on completing sets by staying out of touch.

Under 9/1's –

Under 9/2's – Lower Mountains 4 - St Marys 56 We were thoroughly beaten today, no doubt about it. The opposition wanted to win and had the plays and discipline to achieve it. When we stuck to our game plan we made breaks and got over the line. Player of the match Alexis kept the team going with encouragement while Captain Billy led from the front with some great runs. The team was still smiling after the games, so they are still enjoying their footy!

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains 10 - Cambridge Park 32

Our team went out against Cambridge Park this week, and played the best game of the season so far. With strong running, off loads, backing each other up and tremendous tackling. The score definitely didnt reflect the game. Huge effort by everyone this week and a huge thank you to Patrick & Luke for backing up from their game to give us a hand, they definitely held their own out their playing up an age group. We can really see improvements in leaps and bounds for our team, and they are exciting to watch as they find their feet and dare to try different things out on the paddock. Our player of the week was Ella Conlon.

Under 10/2's - Lower Mountains 26 - St Marys 6 This week we had the tough road trip to St Marys. After a couple of close losses the kids trained well all week & came ready to play.          Our dummy halves, Sam & Tillie, gave great service from the ruck & the halves, Lewis & Kane, kept the ball flowing well to the outside players. Zack, Seb & Jordi got us on the front foot with some tough runs into the St Marys defence, with Kal, Tyler, Kallan & Taylor taking advantage with great follow up runs. A big defensive effort kept the St Marys attack under control & we were all over their offloads. Player’s player was Tyler.

Under 11 – Lower Mountains 18 -St Marys 32 A hard game this week. Under 12/1's – Lower Mountains 4 - Blacktown Bears 24 This was always going to be a tough game coming up against an undefeated Blacktown side, the boys got off to a slow start and before we knew they had put a few tries on us which didn’t help our confidence, to the boys credit they showed good character to keep on trying all game but it just wasn’t our day, Riley Barglik created some good plays and give it

everything and was well supported by Ben Leaney and Hayden Stevens who tackled themselves to a stand still. Players’player went to Riley Barglik

Under 12/2's –

UNDER 13/1's – Lower Mountains 18 - Hawkbury 16 The boys played the newly promoted Hawksbury in what turned out to be an exciting game of footy. The defence from both sides was very good and the ball went end to end for a long period of time before there was a score. We eventually scored and got out to a 12-4 lead. From this point we were on top and should havewon the game comfortably unfortunately we kept making mistakes and inviting Hawksbury back into the game.We eventually won 18-16 with Hawksbury scoring a try on the bell. This side has the ability to give this competition a shake. However unless we learn to minimise our mistakes and to stick to our game plan this will not become a reality.Jack Hobson,Caleb Proctor,Mitch Hayllar,Cleve Armstrong had great games. Two tries to Sam Squire and 1 to Mitch Hayllar.Justin Fowler kicked 2 and Jack Hobson kicked 1 goal.

Under 13/2's – Lower Mountains

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 6 - Glenmore Park 32 The boys had a great start to the game playing some great footy keeping up with one of the heavy weights in the Comp Glenmore park. Our line speed let us down in certain parts of the game which only gave the opposition momentum to play footy & run away with the game.Lower Mtns are finding this season being in the top division is all about working hard for each other & not giving up & playing to the final whistle.

Under 15's – Lower Mountains 31 - Colyton 10 The boys had a tough game against Colyton on Saturday which in turn produced our best performance of the year. Big hits didn’t stop our forwards with huge runs from Elijah Plowman, Matty Williams, James Harvie, Lochlan Attard, Indy Cairns & Ben Greeening. Our backline was very good scoring some excellent tries to lead 16-10 at the break. We came out with all guns firing scoring 15 unanswered points. Under 16/1's - Lower Mountains 4 - St Marys 44 After a solid win against Glenmore Park in our last game we were hoping to reproduce this form against St Mary’s.Unfortunately we started badly making mistakes and losing the ruck to St Mary’s when they had the ball. This allowed them to get a roll on and in quick time we were down 16 nil.To the boys credit they got in the grind of the game and for the next 30 minutes played some good footy and stuck with St Marys and scored a great try.The last 15 minutes the boys were completely outplayed and St Mary’s ran out easy winners. We have proved that we can compete with the good sides in the comp but to do this we need to eliminate mistakes be more disciplined and compete for the entire 60 minutes.Jake Betar,Jesse Poulsen,Mitch Corey,Jack Tyrrell and Damon Lee tried hard and Ryan Skinner scored a try off some great work by Jesse.

However, when the team got possession of the ball combined with great yards from Jedd Gordan and Brad Middlebrook, the team took the lead and led 22-14 at the half-time. The team continued with the winning attitude and some great tries in the second half. Special mention to Jacob Paulson who scored 4 quality tries resulting in a big win with the final score 40-14. Great Team effort.

Under 19's - Lower Mountains 0 - Waratahs 44This was another great effort from the boys with only 13 players and 2 backing up from the 17s against a full team with plenty of reserves always hard.Proud of you boys well done

A Grade - Lower Mountains 4 - Londonderry Greys 22A generally good performance by the A-Grade side this Sunday, however the score line indicates it was a one-sided affair. The boys really took it to the Londonderry forwards with fierce defence often driving the opposition back. Half time the score line was close at 10-4 to the opposition, though the blues were unable to close in on the Greys in the second half as they extended their lead.

They played the game in the true spirit of fairness and never giving up, even though we were down in player numbers on the field and on the scoreboard. Jai moved the team around in attack as Captain while Player of the Match Scott kept going forward, sometimes with four defenders holding on. Every week the team improve and if we keep training hard then the wins will come. Respect!

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains 10 - St Clair 50Our team came up against a very physical St Clair team. We held our own however were beat by a better team. The second half our defence was great with Ryan ,Liam ,Finn ,Albert, Ashden and Jesse really stepping up . Max Murphy was also good in defence and strong running. Under 14's – Lower Mountains 14 - St Clair 10The boys were up against a determined St Clair outfit. Both teams were prepared to throw the footy around and that they did as the game was played at a fast pace. Lower Mtns stuck to there structures in offence & defence playing a near perfect 1st half going into halftime 10-4 lead. Our second half this season hasn't been our strong point as we seem to fall off the pace of the game. But finally the boys put all there hard work at training together getting there first win for this season playing in 1st division. Well done boys, great team performance by everyone. Under 16-18 – GIRLS -

Under 16/1's - Lower Mountains 28 - Glenmore Park 16 Looking for our 1st win of the season the boys were playing a very committed Glenmore Park side. Our opposition came out firing and in the 1st 20 minutes threw everything at our boys including the kitchen sink. The contact in tackles was as physical as we have encountered all year.Although Glenmore Park skipped away to a 10-0 lead they had spent a lot of energy and all we needed to do was stay with them and we were always going to have the better of them in the back end of the game. This is how it turned out with boys scoring some great tries and running out comfortable winners 28-16.Looking on from the sideline it was a great game of footy both tough and skilful which is a credit to both sides. Our forwards were fantastic soaking up the Glenmore Park blitz in the 1st 20 minutes and then finishing on top at the back end of the game. All the forwards were sensational playing tough and strong but Jack Tyrell and Dylan Hughes stood out.The work by the forwards allowed our halves Mitch Corey and Jesse Poulsen to work some magic with the backs. Cameron Kitching, Jack Treasure and Damon Lee playing great footy with the ball in hand.Try’s to Jack Treasure 2,Damon ,Jesse,Camo and Ramma Pattison. 2 goals to Jesse.

Round 5 Match ReportsSaturday 13th May/Sunday 14th May

Under 6/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 6/2's – Lower Mountains 32 - Doonside 8 Under 6-2 had a cracker of a game, with the girls Boo and Izzy getting in having a go at tackling.Ruby went in to score her 1st try! Little James and Brax made some great runs. Aaron was superb with a run along the side ending in a try, his 1st try too! Tyson and Chase both played hard with continuing to tackle and to score tries. The team continues build their confidence on the field and are improving each week Tries scored by: Chase 4, Tyson 3, Ruby 1and Aaron 1.

Under 6/3's - Lower Mountains

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 48 - Windsor 32 The boys started the game a little sluggish this week, but pulled it together to walk away with another win. Improvement was seen in the boys defensive line and some great tackles from Craig, Andrew and Logan. Jackson, Shaun and Brayden made some great runs up the centre which saw all three going over the line. Cody and Jett were never far from the action setting up some great tries and Cayden showed his strength powering through Windsors defence. The boys are progressing each week which is great to see. Players of the Week went to Craig Williams for his dedication and giving it his all. Tries for LM: Logan Jackson 4, Brayden Frias 3, Jackson Stanford 2, Andrew Jones, Shaun Maher, Cayden Lowe.

Under 7/2's – Lower Mountains 48 - Glenmore Park 48 We had a few children away this week and gained a substitute (Cullen SUMMERS under 6’s) who was an amazing hard working player. All players worked their guts out and played a full game. Noah Hicks scored 2 tries and assisted in many other tries by dodging the other team for long lengths of the field.  Jakyah Makyak worked incredibly hard, while running the ball she had fantastic technique in stepping through the opposition. She also performed some wonderful tackles and never stopped running the whole game.Connor displayed some beautiful sportsmanship, he showed empathy for the opposition and apologised by hugging the player when he thought he had hurt them. I was very impressed with Connor’s stamina this match and his emerging abilities.Austin scored an exciting try and was tackling the opposition like a machine. It is always a pleasure watching him play as his face lights up every time he runs the ball.Lastly but not least our big try scorer Jaxon who scored an incredible 6 tries and achieved some wicked tackles.

Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains 12 - Windsor 16Everyone in the team deserve to be mentioned in this report because of their ability to work together as a team.  This was a very tough game with Windsor being undefeated and winning easily against other sides.  The first quarter was fantastic with the game flowing from try line to try line and LM’s getting the better of the encounter leading by two points at the quarter time break.  This lead was maintained through the next two quarters only to see the game slip away on the bell with a long run from a Windsor player.  All the team played well with special mentions to Lincoln McLoughlin, Ben Gomez and Isaac Leaney who played above their weight on the day.  Coen Werner stood out in defence whilst Jake Alliston, Blake Nelson, Luke Clunes and Abbey-Lee Larcombe were their usual outstanding best.  Zane Willliams and Nicolas Peat defended stoutly and made some incisive runs.  Windsor 16 defeated LM’s 12 (Tries to Lincoln McLoughlin and Zane Williams, goals to each player).

Under 8/2's - Lower Mountains 24 - Emu Plains 32 While the U8s went down for a second consecutive week, it was very close and it was well fought. Again, our opposition was very skilled but our boys shone across the park. Phoenix added to his heap of tries for the year to get us started and was always attacking, so too Angus

Wills. Hamish Wills and Jack Buttriss also added to their season totals, Jack grabbing a hattrick. Jacks effort was all the more brave after being injured in the 3rd qtr. Impressively, the MOM went to a defensive effort of Harry Summers that really stepped up to match the bigger opposition, Noah Worth again tackled all day and he was partnered by Justin Sykes and captain Will Bloomfield who did all the hard work.

Under 9/1's –

Under 9/2's – Lower Mountains 10 - Colyton Colts 38 This was our toughest games yet, beaten by a well drilled opposition. But the team should hold their heads high, they never gave up and threw everything they had at them. They kept tackling, they kept moving forward, but most of they stuck to the game plan under the steady Captainship of Billy. Good signs they are listening at training and growing as a team. Player of the match was Brayden for his solid defence and attack on the wing. Keep it up team!

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains

Under 10/2's - Lower Mountains 20 - Colyton 22 Coming up against a big and fast Colyton team , became a good test for  boys/ girls on how they are forming as a team . After leading all game to have victory slip away from them late in the game 22-20, 'Great team effort'.      Players player  Kane Griffen

Under 11 – Lower Mountains 16 - St Clair 26 An even bigger improvement this week. All the boys stepped up and played hard against an undefeated St.Clair.Half time score was 10 all so was a very even test to start.Unfortunately St Clair got us in the second half. Haydn was awesome in defence as was, Wil, Jett, and Joe.Great attackers this week were  Cody, Lindsay,Daniel and Adam. Our new boys are improving each and every week, so impressed.Keep going boys, we are so close to the win I can taste it!Coaches Award – Wil StavrakisManagers Award  – Daniel Fraser.

Under 12/1's – Lower Mountains 28 - Windsor 0 Round 5 saw the boys get a chance to play Friday night footy under lights at Windsor. We got away to the perfect start with Brock Stapleton scoring a nice try out wide on the 3rd tackle of the game. Our defense in the first half was outstanding, the boys showed good line speed and an eagerness to tackle everything that Windsor threw at us, it wasn’t long until we were rewarded again with Pat Bourke scoring out wide and Brock Stapleton picked himself a 1st half double on the buzzer for us to lead 14-0 at half time. The second half was very similar to the first with our defense dominating Windsor, Cooper Potter crossed in the corner and was closely followed up by a nice side stepping try to Riley Barglik, Pat Bourke got himself a double right on full time to run away 28-0 winners. Players’player went to Hayden Stevens

Under 12/2's –

UNDER 13/1's – Lower Mountains 8 - Blacktown Workers 24 The game saw the clash of the 2 undefeated sides in the competition. Unfortunately for the boys the score was a little one sided and we were beaten 24-8.The score really didn’t reflect the effort of the boys. We matched it with Blacktown for most of the game just lapses in concentration and poor choices were costly and too Blacktown’s credit they were good enough to take advantage of this. The parts of the game that cost us are all fixable and we will learn from our mistakes.Sam Squire,Mitch Hayllar,Cleve Armstrong,Jack Hobson and Caleb “call me Jeff” Proctor were terrific with Riley Milton and Billy Zammit having top games. Two tries to Sam.

Under 13/2's – Lower Mountains 14 - Warratahs 44 It was always going to be a tough game with only 12 players. We got off to a strong start with great defence from Max S, Liam ,Max M and Albert. Going in to the second half trailing 16/6We ran out of steam and were overrun after losing another boy to injury. Some good defence and better attacking structure this week.

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 0  - Windsor 32Completing our sets & getting to our kicks & muscling up in defence was the priority for the boys. First half our boys aimed up & achieved our goals going into half time 6-0  down which was a great effort. Second half was totally a different game to what we played in the first half, with the opposition forwards dominating around the ruck area. lower Mtns couldn't keep up with the pace of the game going down to a really good Windsor side. Keep up the hard work lads. Our complete performance is not to far away..

Under 15's – Lower Mountains 40 - Doonside 6 The boys played an awesome game on Saturday with a 7 tries to 1 demolition of Doonside. The boys controlled the game with great structure in both attack and defence. Our set plays worked well setting up most of our tries. The backrowers Indy Cairns, Lochlan Attard & Lachlan Brear were great in attack and defence. The backline was very slick with Jackson Potter playing a hand in Khy Lakes tries aswell as his own.Man of the Match – Jason OxleyTries – Khy Lake 2, Jackson Potter 1, Lachlan Brear 1, Indy Cairns 1, Lochlan Attard 1, Jason Oxley 1Goals – Jake Hayllar 1, Jason Oxley 4

Under 16-18 – GIRLS -

Under 16/1's - Bye

Under 16/2's -

 Under 17's - Lower Mountains

Under 19's - Lower Mountains 0 - St Clair 62This was a tremendous effort from the boys with only 12 players starting against a full side of 20 , the boys went to the break 18 nil down and only

11 players to start the second half they were going to be up against it .with no possession at all in the second half it was a tall effort to contain their opponents as there energy levels where all but gone , great effort boys.

A Grade - Lower Mountains 0 - Penrith Waratahs 22 A disappointing result for A-Grade in wet conditions on their away game to Penrith Waratahs this round. The opposition dominated for most of the match taking advantage with fast plays exposing holes in the blues defensive line. The boys will look towards next round with the takeaway from this round that more communication is required in defence with a focus on completion of sets with the ball.

Round 4 Match ReportsSaturday 6th May/Sunday 7th April

Under 6/1's – Lower Mountains 32 - Penrit Warratahs 16The boys had a great game. Unfortunately Warratahs were short of players so Cooper helped them out with there numbers showing great sportmanship. Both Cully and Jackson played a full game owning the field. Byron, Max and Logan showed great resiliance throughout a tough game. Both Dane and Kai once again showed superior speed scoring tries end to end.

Under 6/2's – Lower Mountains 28 - Brothers 32 The under 6,2 took on an equally strong side in brothers. with barnstorming runs from Tyson, ruby and the 2 pocket rockets Izzy and brax. Was backed up with crushing defence from James, Boo, Arron and chase. But unfortunately, the team was beaten with a try after the bell. tries Tyson 4 tries and chase 3 tries, as a coach I am proud of the effort these kids are showing and how far they have come in just a few games.

Under 6/3's - Lower Mountains

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 72 - West City Tigers 8 Coming off the massive loss last week the boys regrouped and put in a spectacular effort against West City Tigers. The defense was on fire keeping the tigers scoreless up until the last quarter with some terrific tackles from Cody, Jett, Craig and Cayden. Brayden was right in the mix of it putting in a solid effort at dummy half. Andrew, Jackson Logan and Shaun were strong in both attack and defense. Player of the week went Brayden Frias Tries for Lower Mountains: Logan Jackson 7, Jackson Stanford 7, Andrew Jones, Cody Mackin, Shaun Maher and Jett Jensen.

Under 7/2's – Lower Mountains

Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains 40 - Colyton 10This was a very fine team effort in both attack and defence & it was gratifying to see the way the team backed each other up and offloaded in support.  Isaac Leaney, Abbey-Lee Larcombe, Nicolas Peat, Coen Werner & Zane Williams all made penetrating runs whilst Luke Clunes was a tiger in defence ably supported by Jake Alliston, Lincoln McLoughlin, Blake Nelson & Ben Gomez.  Lower Mountains 44 (Tries to Alliston 2, Nelson 2, Williams 2, McLoughlin, & Larcombe, goals to McLoughlin, Leaney, Gomez, Peat, Larcombe & Williams) defeated Colyton 10.

Under 8/2's - Lower Mountains 4 - Brothers 44 Under 8s met Brothers this weekend and it is fair to say that our boys were convincingly beaten across the park. Our attack was slow to move and easily picked off by an organised defence. Our boys showed some individual efforts, Harry Summers and Phoenix Fitzpatrick tried in attack with some creative offloading, but some work to be done. Our boys showed some good defence in patches, Noah Worth, Justin Sykes and Will Bloomfield racked up huge tackle counts in the middle, while Jack Buttriss, Hamish and Angus Wills, made some key cover tackles in a game where we were tackling all day.

Under 9/1's –

Under 9/2's – Lower Mountains 40 - West City Tigers 12  What an impressive display from the 9/2’s! The forwards were hard to stop when they went forward and the backs were too fast for the opposition, especially on the wings. Jack A led from the front as Captain and kept playing after a tough knock. Billy was Player of the Match for his solid defence and outstanding attack. Thanks to Jack from the 8/2’s who played

up and had some great runs. This win has boosted everyone’s confidence, great effort!

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains 16 - Hawksbury 32 Our team played Hawksbury this week and had a blinder. Although going down 32-16 we went try for try and even lead for some of the game, unfortunately late in the second half we began to loose a bit of steam due to not having any reserves, we let in a few late trys. These kids left it all out there on the field in this game, and each and every player went above and beyond for his/her team mates. Things we've been working on at training definatly coming together and this coach believes the best is yet to come.Player of the week went to Tyler Norton.

Under 10/2's - Lower Mountains 46 - Minchinbury 10 With some awesome defence and fantastic tackles made on a big Minchinbury team, we came out with a really great win. 10-46Congrats to our team who are improving each week and learning to be amazing footballers.Players player of the week, Sam Hill.

Under 11 – Lower Mountains 22 - Blacktown Workers 24 What a huge improvement this week! All the boys played so well as a team. All your training and hard work is starting to pay off.Jett was awesome scoring 2 tries, Wil also scored a try and Lightning Lindsay ran the length of the field to score an awesome try also!Jett , Joe and Adam kicked goals.Well done boys , keep training hard we can do this !Coaches Award – Lindsay LauerManagers Award  – Kieran Thomson

Under 12/1's – Lower Mountains 22 - West City Tigers 4  This game was always going to be a good arm wrestle, we started the game off well, using our structured play to set up the opening try out wide to Brock Stapleton, the Tigers then hit back scoring a dubious try from a bomb (which is not allowed in our age group), the boys brushed it off quickly and hit straight back with a second try to Brock Stapleton to lead 12-4 at half time. The second half we lost our shape and structure with the ball a bit, but our defence was outstanding, showing good line speed and hunger to make the tackles, next to score was Jackson Bagtella who ran a great line to cross out wide, this was closely followed by nice try out wide by Pat Bourke to finish the game with a 22-4 win. Players’player went to Brock Stapleton

Under 12/2's – Bye

UNDER 13/1's – Lower Mountains 36 - West City Tigers 0 Winning our 1st 2 games was terrific however there were plenty of areas where we could improve and it was important that we continue improving. One of the big areas that required improvement is the errors and silly penalties we give away. After 2 very good training sessions the boys approached the game in a positive manner and to their credit the errors and silly penalties were reduced significantly. On the back of this and with plenty of ball in hand the boys played some great footy and won convincingly 36-0. Tries to Mitch Nass Star,Mitch Hayllar,Caleb  Morrisey,Cleve Armstrong,Sam Squires,Angus Moore,Jasper Taylor and 13 goals to Jack Hobson and 1 to Justin Fowler. All of the boys played well and contributed to the win but Pockets,Mitch Hayllar,Cleve Armstrong,Sam Squire and Angus Moore were terrific.

Under 13/2's – Lower Mountains

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 12  - Minchinbury 22We went into round 4 facing one of the top teams in division 1 vs Minchinbuhinry. What we asked of our boys this week was to try & stay in the contest & not take a backward step. That they did and more by playing one of the best halves of footy this year by leading half time 12-10. The boys showed passion, commitment & effort to sadly go down 22-12 against a solid opposition. Outstanding performance by all the boys. A big thank you to the 13s boys Sam, Mitch & Jaleb who backed up & helping out, also thank you to Michelle Milton for being our manager for this game.

Under 15's – Lower Mountains 32 - Brothers 6 The played a great game on Saturday against Brothers. A solid start to the game resulted in a 16-6 half time lead. The second half was a top quality game of footy with the boys putting on some great plays to score 3 tries. It was a great performance by the whole team. Man of the Match – Indy Cairns

Tries – Jackson Potter 2, Jack Murphy 1, Lachlan Brear 1, Kai Simpson 1, Dayne Vassallo 1Goals – Jake Hayllar 1, Jason Oxley 3

Under 16-18 – GIRLS - Lower Mountains Lost on Forfit

Under 16/1's - Lower Mountains 12 - St Clair 46 After two solid efforts in our 1st 2 games of the year it was expected that we would perform well today. After a strong start we made 2 bad mistakes which resulted in St Clair scoring 2 tries and jumping out 2 a 10-0 lead. From here things went from bad to worse with a number of injuries causing  lots of positional changes causing lots of confusion. On the back of this St Clair jumped to a 26-0 lead. To the boys credit that got themselves back into the game and for about 20 minutes we were all over the opposition and got the score back to 26-12. Unfortunately a couple of mistakes resulted in a some soft tries which blew the score out. Injuries played there part in the loss but we need to learn to play for the full 60 minutes. We showed in the 20 minute period what we can do lets convert that to a 60 min effort. Tries to Jesse Poulsen and Dylan Hughes and 2 goals to Jesse. Jack Tyrrell was outstanding with Dylan Hughes,Kyle Alliston,Zac Comito,Jesse Poulsen and Mitch Cory also playing strong..

Under 16/2's - Bye

Under 17's - Lower Mountains 22 - St Clair 28The boys played well today in a game that they were not expected to win. The first half saw the boys come back to a 16 all after being down and again in the second half saw them come back again to 22 all. Unfortunately, St Clair managed to get another through with the final score being 28:22. Overall the boys played a great game with special mention to Ryan and Ratu with outstanding defence.

Under 19's - Lower Mountains 8 - St Clair 18

The boys put in a solid effort in this game unfortunately not coming away with the win , The win is just around the corner ,keep up the great effort. Thanks to the under 17s for backing up.

A Grade - Lower Mountains

Round 2 Match ReportsSaturday 22nd April/Sunday 23rd April

Under 6/1's –

Under 6/2's – Lower Mountains 28 – St Clair 4 Under 6/2's took on St Clair in a match where the kids excelled with very little time together. Hard running by William, Zach, Tyson, Aaron and our 2 Ruby’s was awesome, it was backed up by tough defence by Kristian, Isabelle, Harry, Brax, little Huxley, James and Chase.

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 24 – St Clair 60 The under 7/1s travelled to St Clair this weekend eager to take to the field after the wet start to the season.  A somewhat slow start to the game it didn’t take the boys long to get back into it with Jackson Stanford, Cody Mackin and Shaun Maher leading the attack with their speed and strength. Cayden Lowe and Andrew Jones were unstoppable in defense making some terrific tackles. Craig Williams and Jett Jensen powered through St Clair’s defense making some tough runs. Even though the boys didn’t walk away with the win they should be proud of their effort. Tries for Lower Mountains – Jackson Stanford 4, Andrew Jones, Cody Mackin. Player of the Week went to Cody Mackin

Under 7/2's – Lower Mountains 28 - Riverstone 48 Wow! What a fantastic bunch of kids!

After all of this rain and lack of training everyone played so well as a team together. Everyone took turns having a run, and by the end of the game had greatly improved. The most wonderful part of the whole game was when Austin accidentially high tackled an opposition player, and out of remorse sobbed and ran to the sideline where Connor his team mate consoled him and he cam back on.

Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains 20 – Hawksbury 28 An entertaining match after such a long lay off.  Stand outs on the day were Coen WERNER, Zane WILLIAMS and Luke CLUNES who often split the defence with strong runs and robust defence.  They were closely followed by Luke ALLISTON, Blake NELSON, Lincoln McLOUGHLIN and Nicolas PEAT whilst Isaac LEANEY and Abbey-Lee LARCOMBE were a reliable halves combination.  It was pleasing to see the enthusiastic defence, good ‘backing up’ and ability to off load by all the team.

Under 8/2's - Lower Mountains 16 – St Marys 14 The progression of our returning boys was very pleasing and complimented by a newer comers Will Bloomfield, Angus and Hamish Wills who made great debuts. Our boys focus this week at training was defence and they all delivered, topping the tackle count was a Jack Buttriss, Justin Sykes and Hamish Wills. Great cover “D” from Noah Worth and Harry Summers prevented points against. Justin rampaged across the field for first try of the year and Phoenix Fitzpatrick was unlucky not to bag a double along with a conversion.

Under 9/1's –

Under 9/2's – Lower Mountains 10 – St Clair 16 What a great first game for the Under 9/2’s! The team played well together under Abby’s Captainship against a tough and determined opponent. The skills we are learning at training were on show today, particularly tackling and passing. Player of the match was Levi for some great runs and courage after a heavy knock. I’m looking forward to some good fun and footy this year with these enthusiastic young players.

Under 10/1's –

Under 10/2's - Lower Mountains 42 – Katoomba 16 Great first up win by the 10-2s. Even with limited training due to the rain the kids played well in attack & defence. Tries to Kallen (4}, Kallan (2), Lewis (2) & Zack (1). Players Player was Lewis.

Under 11 – Lower Mountains 10 - St Marys 28 Great game to begin the season, unfortunately we didn’t come up with the win, but all the boys played hard, against a big side.Wil scored the 2 tries and Joe kicked a perfect goal.Jett was a stand out tackling really hard, Wil found some space,to score and had a great game.Cody, Joe , Lindsay and Adam made some great line breaks.Kieran,Patrick, Nick, Liam, Haydn ,and Bradley made great strong tackles.Congrats to our new boys , Lindsay, Braeden, Jye, Kieran, and Jett for your awesome start to the season.Coaches Award – Braeden SmithManagers Award  – Jye Mackin

Under 12/1's – Lower Mountains 10 – Emu Plains 36 Going up against a strong Blacktown side with only 12 players available was always going to be hard, we got off to a slow start letting them score 2 tries early, when we did finally get going and started to play some good footy we were rewarded with a neat tray out wide by Pat Bourke, Jack Babbage kicked the conversion from out wide to keep us in the game, unfortunately our defensive attitude just wasn’t right on the day and Blacktown made us pay with their star player scoring 5 tries in the 1st half. To the boys’ credit they lifted their intensity and defensive attitude in the second half. Pat Bourke grabbed himself a double after chasing through a perfectly weighted kick but it just wasn’t our day going down 36-10. Standout players on the day were Pat Moore who controlled things well in the unfamiliar position of halfback, Ben Leaney who enjoyed getting back into the forwards and had a high work rate, Hayden Stevens who attacked and defended strongly. Players’player went to Hayden Stevens

Under 12/2's –

UNDER 13/1's – Lower Mountains 16 – St Clair 4 After the preseason from hell our boys finally got to play some competition footy.Although our training has been limited because of the weather the coaching staff were confident of a good showing against St Clair. As a coach I could not be more proud of the boys commitment, effort and courage. We had to defend for huge amounts of time in our own 20 and the boys repelled the big boys from St Clair time and time again. On the down side the main reason we had to defend for huge amounts of time was our poor ball control and discipline. It was obvious from a coaching perspective that when we got ourselves in trouble was when we lost sight of our game plan. When we learn to stick to our game plan I believe we will be a very real chance of going a long way in this competition.A big welcome to the new boys in the side:Angus the “Scone Kid”Jasper the “speed man”Ashton the “devil from above”Our leaders Sam Squire, Cleveland Armstrong and Mitch Hayllar played strong and smart. Mitchell Nass-Starr,Billy Zammit,Caleb Procter and Jack Hobson were outstanding.Final score Bluies 16- St Clair 4.Tries to Sam, Mitch Nass-Starr and Mitch Hayllar and Jack Hobson kicked 2 goals.

Under 13/2's – Lower Mountains 0 - Londonderry 50 Not a great start to our season, a lot of things to improve on over the next few weeks at training. We only had two sets with the ball today . Some strong defence from a few boys, we just need more time to gel. I’m sure we will be much stronger after a little more time together as our pre season was very limited .

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 0 – St Marys 52 Playing first round game of 2017 season against last years division-1s grand final winners St Marys was going to be a big test for our boys. Sadly school holidays & numerous injuries did not help our boys resulting in having to play the first half with 11 players. The opposition were just to dominate for our boys to contain throughout the game. A big thank you to

the 13-1 players that backed up in the 2nd half to help out after playing there own game. Sam, Cleveland & Mitch..

Under 15's –

Under 16-18 – GIRLS V's St Clair This was the first ever game for this side. We have 7 players in our squad that have never played, we also have 2 players that are still playing with the Panthers. Due to the weather we have had no trials and limited training. So it was good to get on the field. We only had 8 players on Saturday so with no reserves it was always going to be tough. It was good to see the girls never give up for the full game although we were strugling. With the speed of the comets and being down 1 player gave them more room to move out wide. The good things to come out of the game were all the new players enjoyed the heavy contact of rugby league and we showed some good ball movement. Alysha Wynn-Jurd had a great game organizing the side in attack from halfback and saving some tries from great defence while playing fullback in defence. Alicia Sandford our captain lead by example playing hooker topped the tackle count being very strong in the middle but also covering out wide. All of our new players got to tackle and run the ball. The 2 standouts were Rylie Mckay and Laticia Fitzroy. This side will only get better with time to gel and you all excited your Coach with your efforts. Players Player: Alysha wynn-Jurd

Under 16/1's - Lower Mountains 6 - Minchinbury 40 After a nightmare of a preseason with very limited use of an Oval no trials whatsoever the boys had to play their 1st game of the year against last year’s Grand Finalists. On top of this the boys had a very tough week emotionally and the majority of their opposition were match hard fit on the back of the Junior Representative season. These circumstances were insurmountable and we were beaten. However, after an outstanding start to the game we more than matched Minchinbury in all aspects and led 6-0 following a brilliant try to Damon Lee with some excellent lead up work by Cameron Kitching and Ryan Skinner.Minchinbury led 10-6 30 seconds from half time. Unfortunately they scored on the bell. With no match fitness it was an impossible task to match Minchinbury in the second half and they ended up winning comfortably. The boys never stopped trying and showed enough to suggest that we will be more than competitive this year.Jack Tyrell,Justin Geri,MitchCory,Dylan Allen,Damon Lee and Jake Betar played terrific.Try and Goal to Damon.

Under 16/2's

Under 17's - Lower Mountains 22 - Minchinbury 40 First game of the year against the defending Premiers was always going to be a challenging game. Our boys came out hard and scored two good tries in the first 10minutes to take a 12-nil lead. Minchinbury then struck back and we went into half time trailing 24-12.After reassessing at half time the boys came out with an enthusiastic mind set and this lead to the boys fighting back with only 5 minutes to go trailing 30-22. In the last 5minutes Minchinbury scored two late tries. The full-time score was 40-22. From the high level of commitment, the boys have shown we should be in for a great year. Looking forward to the year ahead with a quality bunch of young men.

Under 19's - Lower Mountains 8 - Londonderry 38 This was a solid start to the season considering that this was our first game together with no trials and hardly any time training due to the wet weather, The boys started well scoring first in what was a tight first half going to the break 18-8 , with only 3 reserves compared to there opponents who had a full 7 on the bench was always going to be hard to keep up , but tp the boys credit they hung in there and just ran out of steam, Good first up effort boys , thanks to the under 17s who backed up.Tries A Fisher , L Webber

A Grade - Lower Mountains 16 - Londonderry 6A sunny blue mountains afternoon provided perfect conditions for the first competition game of the season and the local spectators were not disappointed with a gutsy A-Grade performance. Londonderry were clearly a larger pack with a well fielded bench, however the boys took it to them up the middle, taking advantage of the tiring opposition. Lower Blue Mountains took the win 16-6. Tries going to Josh Conlon-King, Billy Nicholson & Mark Gorham

Round 3 Match ReportsSaturday 29th April/Sunday 30th April

Under 6/1's – Lower Mountains 32  - Blacktown Bears 20The boys had an action packed game today. The two smallest and youngest on the team Logan and Max were a force to be reckoned with. Logan putting his body on the line with some big tackles and Max flying up the field with some great runs. Great defensive skills from Cullen and Dane

when they ran down the opponent and saved a try. The boys were unstoppable with tries from Bryon, Kai, Jackson, Cooper and Dane.

Under 6/2's – Lower Mountains

Under 6/3's - Lower Mountains 36 - Minchinbury 28 Lower mountains played a determined match against Minchinbury. Having only 6 players, lower Mts tackled themselves to a standstill lead by Tyson and Arron and little brax who scored his 1st try. Chase, Ruby and Izzy continued with excellent running. Keep up the good work kids.

Under 7/1's - Lower Mountains 20 – Cambridge Park 80 The boys this week took on a strong Cambridge Park side in front of a home crowd. The boys were slow to start allowing Cambridge park to score some quick easy tries. Logan Jackson put on a massive run and put the first points on the board for LM, Andrew Jones backed this up with a strong run up the centre. Shaun Maher gave us a taste of his speed scoring a try off a sweet run up the length of the field and Brayden Frias showed us his quick step going over for two well-earned tries. Some great defense from Cody Macklin and Craig Williams. Cayden Lowe and Jett Jensen were the all-rounders with some great tackles and hard runs. Tries for L, Brayden Frias 2, Shaun Maher, Logan Jackson, Andrew Jones. Player of the week went to Cayden Lowe for giving it his all.

Under 7/2's – Lower Mountains 20 - Colyton 20Another great game with a equally matched team. A very close game highlighted with some grear defence from either side, but none more so then a great cover tackle on their best player by Eddie. Jackson was at his attacking best again swerving through tough defence to score 3 trys. A draw was a fitting result.

Under 8/1's – Lower Mountains 18 – Minchinbury 6 Solid defence and some long probing runs by Blake Nelson, Isaac Leaney, Abbey-Lee Larcombe, Nicolas Peat and Zane Williams led to a very good win by the LM’s side.  Jake Alliston defended stoutly and proved the

difference with his two tries.  Good lead up work from Nicolas Peat with a fine off load led to one of Jake’s tries.  This was a very good team effort and with further training & games this side can only get better.  LM’s 18 (Tries to J. ALLISTON [2], L. CLUNES & Abbey-Lee LARCOMBE, goal to Zane WILLIAMS0 defeated Minchinbury 6.

Under 8/2's - Lower Mountains 44 – Hawksbury 12 Our under 8s boys played a massive Hawksbury team. While they were without a full team, they still presented a task in pulling them down. Our focus this week was on organised play the ball and though this could still do with a little work, the pace an evasiveness had a few of our boys grabbing two tries each. Phoenix Fitzpatrick, as always, did, so too did Jack Buttriss. Hamish Wills and Justin Sykes continued collecting their tries, but it was man of the match Angus Wills that jumped out of the ground with 2 line breaking tries and completed the hattrick setup by crafty Harry Summers offload. Defence was equally impressive and Noah Worth led the tackle count and made more strong one on one tackles then I could count with a notable mention to Will Bloomfield on his defensive award this week, upping his involvement and doing a good job at first receiver.

Under 9/1's –

Under 9/2's – Lower Mountains 20 - Brothers 18  It was a hard fought win today. Every player pitched in to get the result. Our attack on the wings and from the tip off was excellent. We did really well in defence, especially on our own try line. Elijah had a great Captains game with some great runs. Charles was a worthy Player of the Match with some barnstorming tries. Well done to all players.

Under 10/1's – Lower Mountains 4 - Brothers 40 Came up against a very strong Brothers outfit that took control early. Our guys played a very strong defensive game in the 2nd half but unfortunately wasnt enough to secure the win. Again a huge effort put in by all players and although they were getting beaten never stopped or gave up the fight till the final whistle. Very well done to our team who are showing major promise for the season.

Under 10/2's - Lower Mountains 20 – St Clair 38

Coming off a big win last week , Boys/Girls came up against a fast st Clair team, try for try over the hole game with neither team giving up, st Clair got the upper hand in the dying stages 20-38, Great Team Effort , players player Kallan Boss

Under 11 – Lower Mountains 18 - Doonside 28 Game started well, with joe finding a gap and running it through to score the first try, he then concerted to give a 6-0 lead. The game then continued fairly evenly, with us behind 12-6 at half time. We came out strong in the second half with Jett scoring a great try, and Wil converting. Doonside then scored a couple of tries and started to get away with the lead.Jett then crossed the line again, to score and Cody converted. Unfortunately time ran out and we couldn’t catch them going down 28-18All the best to Haydn, we hope you are feeling better champ! Coaches Award – Cody AllistonManagers Award  – Joe Kitching

Under 12/1's – Lower Mountains 26 - Minchinbury 24 Round 3 was against a much bigger Minchinbury side who had just come down from first division so this game was always going to be hard. We started the game with an awesome set of 6 in defense which lead to a nice try in our 1st set with some good lead up play seeing Jackson Bagatella race away to score from half way. This set the tone for the game and gave the boys confidence, we followed up shortly after with a nice try to Tylar Jennings again after some good structured lead up work. Minchinbury hit back and it was 12-6 before a nice try to Riley Barglik was followed by Finn Newell’s first try in the corner to lead 20-6 at half time. A brilliant solo effort from Riley Barglik to score sent the scoreline out to 26-6, with no reserves and a solid defensive effort in stopping their big boys, we started to tire and Minchinbury come back and got very close but the boys held on to register a confidence building win. Players’player went to Ben Busch

Under 12/2's –

UNDER 13/1's – Lower Mountains 38 – Emu Plains 0 Our biggest challenge in today’s game was to improve on what we did in the 1st game. This was to minimise our mistakes and to play to our game plan.

Although the boys showed a slight improvement we are still miles from where we need to be to win this competition. I guess the good thing is we have only played 2 games. With the individual talent and the great courage and commitment the boys show when we can play to a plan we will be a very good team. Once again the boys were awesome in defence and showed some good signs in attack. The best piece of attack was when we scored from one of our plays “Devil” which was executed perfectly with Jasper scoring under the sticks. Mitch Hayllar,Cleve Armstrong,Jack Hobson and Angus Moore were terrific and Mitch Nass-Star showed some outstanding skills with the ball in hand. Tries to Ashton Taylor 2,Jasper Taylor 2 Mitch Nass-Star, Mitch Hayllar,Justin Fowler, and 3 goals to Jack Hobson. A big welcome to our debutant Oliver Rheinberger.

Under 13/2's – Lower Mountains 32 - St Clair 22 A much better game this week and Albert Treton Scored the first try with a dive from dummy half close to the line. Charlie Wilkinson scored his first try of the season soon after 2 trys from St Clair .We were down 18/10 at half time, but with some great defence especially from POTM Max Murphy ,Jack Walsh, Ryan Virgo and Max Scott, St Clair only scored one more try to Charlie Wilkinsons 3 and Finn Gillies try. Jack Warren got 4/6 goals. Great effort from all the boys this week and great strength shown from Jesse after a huge hit making plenty of metres and tackles.

Under 14's – Lower Mountains 6 – Brothers 44 The boys started the game really well matching set for set with a strong brothers team. The experience of the opposition showed as our boys couldn't  keep up with the pace of the game. Lower Mtns Showed great courage & commitment through out the whole game. Hold your heads up high boys, keep working hard at training.

Under 15's – Lower Mountains Won on Forfit

Under 16-18 – GIRLS - Lower Mountains 10 V's Minchinbury 50 A tale of 2 halves, we started the game with only 8 players against a very big dominate side. The first 5 min the Jets dominated us but you could see the effort was there from our players. We scrambled well and when we held onto the ball we started to make a lot of ground. Our first try of the year was scored by Alicia Sanford and with that try it gave the team a lot more confidence. We were competing with the Jets and not long after we were in again with Alysha Wynn-Jurd scoring near the post. The unfortunate whing was Alysha  was injured in scoring the try and had to leave the field. Isabella Barber (Izzy) took over the kicking and converted and we were down 12-10. The score stayed the same until 30 seconds from half time when the Jets scored and converted to make it 18-10 at half time. At the break you could see the girls were out on their feet, to play on an international field with only 7 players is a huge ask. The 2nd half made me PROUD to be the girls coach, they never gave up, they worked for each other, they were all hurting. Minchinbury scored a few tries but we showed so much heart. This side will only improve when we get more players back. WELL DONE GIRLS. Players player: Tiarne McMaster- Improved so much, was in everything. Well Done Alysha Wynn-Jurd – Scored a good try and was missed in the 2nd half. Made some big hits in defence. Alysa Turas – Lead our team in the middle with great meters in attack and good hard defence. Alicia Sanford – A good leader, very tough workaholic. Isabella Barber – First game back. With more fitness will be impossible to stop. Rylie McKay, Leticia Fitzroy and Madeleine – I can’t believe this is only your 2nd game of rugby league well done. And a big thank you to Scott for helping out on the week-end.

Under 16/1's - Lower Mountains 0 - Brothers 38 Playing last year’s Division 1 premiers in our second game of the year was a tough ask. However the boys took up the challenge and gave it everything they had. With only 2 forward bench players the boys had to show great courage and commitment for the entire 60 minutes. The effort was outstanding and Brothers rarely made headway up the middle. Our biggest problems were simple errors, silly penalties and we were poor in our sliding defence which left our outside players vunerable to Brothers edge players and outside backs.

With an improvement in match fitness and when we eliminate mistakes we will prove hard to beat against any opposition. Rama Pattison,Mitch Cory,Jack Tyrell,Ethan Marsh and Kyle Alliston played great with the rest of the boys giving everything they had.Special thanks to Jake Hayllar and Ben Greening for backing up from the 15’s.

Under 16/2's - Bye

Under 17's - Lower Mountains 10 - Brothers 22 First game away from home. We skipped away to a 10:4 lead. A couple of mistakes lead us to the break 10:12 down. Second half we displayed great defensive effort. The final score of 22:10 did not reflect the effort and skill of the team. Great effort from Jacob. Every time he had the ball he was dangerous.

Under 19's - Lower Mountains 4 - Riverstone 16Great effort from the boys going into the game with only 11 players , with another turning up at half time and thanks to Damo from the 17s for making his way to the game to also fill in , with no reserves they kept up with there opponents playing some good footy going to the break 4-8 , the second half saw much of the same with some missed opportunities but all in all a great effort by all the boys , Hang in there a win is just around the corner.TrY J Conlon King

A Grade - Lower Mountains 0 - Quakers Hill 28 A disappointing result for A-Grade on their away game down to Riverstone to play a well drilled Quakers Hill outfit. While there were some good standout performances in the Lower Mountains side, the team were lacking structure and discipline giving away too many penalties in the first half. This gave Quakers a good lead which they extended throughout the match. The boys took a lot away from this match and will look to improve next week at home to Hawksbury.
