A one-day National Webinar on Edge Computing was organized on 30th July 2021. It was
organized on online mode using Google Meet platform. The speaker of the event was Mr.
Kushall Pal Singh, Ph.D. scholar in the Dept. of CSE at MNIT,Jaipur. The webinar was
coordinated by Ms. Alka Kumari, Dept. of Computer Science & IT.
About the Speaker: The speaker for the event Mr. Kushall Pal Singh has over 5 years of
work experience in various fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data
Science. He is also an eminent speaker and research scholar in the field of Artificial
Intelligence and Data Science. He has done M.Tech from NITTTR, Bhopal, B.Tech from
CCS University Meerut (Gold Medalist), and Diploma in Engineering from BTE Lucknow.
Before joining his Ph.D., he has worked as Assistant Professor at Dr. K N Modi University,
Newai Rajasthan, and SRM Institute of Science & Technology NCR Campus. Also worked as
Research Associate in IIM Rohtak. He has published a research paper on Bibliometric
Analysis and Machine Learning. His research interest includes Machine Learning, Internet of
Things, and Data Science.
About the event: In this event, the basic concept of edge computing technology was analyzed
that how edge computing bringing the processing and storage of data closer to the equipment.
This information can be integrated with business processes and operational activities to
respond to changing to market demands or business circumstances.
22 participants from all over the computer science department participated in this webinar.
There were few participants from other cities.
The session began sharp at 2 pm. The event started with the welcome note by Ms.
DivyaPaikaray and Ms. Alka Kumari. After the inauguration speech, Mr. Kushall Pal Singh
took over and shared his knowledge and information on Edge Computing.He also explained
the concept of cloud computing along with its advancement. The session was of 2 hours and
came to a close at 4 PM. The session was followed by a Vote of Thanks. A short Feedback
Session was conducted for the participants after which Participation Certificates were
awarded to them.
