Introduction

Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research And Management (IITRAM) is one of the fastest growing State Government institutions of Gujarat. The Institution has proven its standard by accepting ‘The Outstanding Institute - West’ award under ‘The National Education Awards’ by ABP news in the third year of its inception. In the year 2016, IITRAM was honored by DNA as the ‘Best

Institute in Skill Development’. IITRAM, Ahmedabad organized a Techno-Cultural Fest, ‘REPERTUS 2K16’ for the first time in our institute during the period 1-3 April 2016. The theme for the festival was “Smart Infrastructure”. Such an event, we believe, has provided a tremendous opportunity and better platform for enhancing technical and practical knowledge among the students across the nation.

This Fest was an opportunity for reputed companies to associate themselves with us and harness the skills and abilities of students across the nation. The institution was eminently positive towards the outbreak of the event and was

successful assembling around 500 students from different parts of the country with a footfall of around 1500.

Competitions

Death Race

In this competition the robots of the participants will have to traverse a certain

pathway while defending themselves from the destructive attempts of other

robots to destroy it, along with proving the stability of their bots while going

through various obstacles posed to them by the track.

This competition was meant to co-relate the skills of team work and

coordination, sportsmanship, smart work, and the best to come out creative ly

from situations.

Bridge the Sea

This is the competition in which students will apply civil engineering knowledge

to build a bridge under the given dimension. The bridge will be analyzed by

applying load on it or can also be checked by taking deflection into

consideration.

This competition helped to bring out the creativity of solving a dynamic situation

with minimum requirements given by applying engineering capabilities built in

them

Contraption

This competition was aimed to bring out the best from participants by analyzing

their competitor skills, and pitching out the instantaneous solution to reach with

maximum moves but still in time.

Greenovate

This competition was meant to come up with innovative solution to solve current

bigger problems faced by humanity.

Workshops

NX - RPT - nearly 30 participants

NX - RPT was an extra ordinary workshop for design lovers which included

designing on software and then visualizing the 3-D model on Rapid Proto Typing

machine which was conducted by Designtech.

STAAD.Pro - 30 participants

Building construction in front of the eyes is the best feeling for any civil engineer

and we made it happen with Bentley India in our workshop STAAD.Pro.

UDR - 12 participants

The trend of robots didn't stopped even at IITRAM and therefore we arranged a

ROBO based workshop UDR in which student got to know the making of

Universal Driven Robot with the help of Robotech Labs Pvt. Ltd.

IOT (Internet of Things) - 4

In this workshop participants got the knowledge about the controlling things

like, fan, tube light, etc. with their mobile phones under the mentorship of

Robotech Labs Pvt. Ltd.

Ethical Hacking - 15

Participants enjoyed the basics of hacking but that too ethically. The workshop

was conducted by i3 India.

FPGA (field programmable gate array) - 5

The workshop was mainly for the participants from the branches EE and EC

because the workshop of working R-duno chips required the advanced

knowledge of the subject as per the guidelines by the well renowned company

NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS.

Sternights

The most awaited event Sternights was enjoyed whole heartedly on the sprawling

lawn of IITRAM featuring VH1 SonicBoom artist Thermal Projekt and opening

act by Dual Drama along with a supporting act by DJ Asen at the dusk of 2nd

April, 2016. The promise of a memorable evening was kept by the arrangem ent

of Sternights, which was a break from the monotonous schedule. Sternights was

one of a kind experience at Repertus 2k16, where the crowd danced, waved,

exhausted onto the beats of the fabulous artists. The zest and energy, that was

seen, was like never before in the campus. Everyone together enjoyed life at its

fullest in this one evening, forgetting all worries. The music emerging from

between the cracks is sharp and modern, fusing contemporary Indian and

American influences with a playful fluency unique to the city. The performance

was put forward by the well renowned artist Dual Drama in the beginning and

then as the night settled, the featuring act by Thermal Projekt was being

showered in front of the crowd. The supporting act of DJ Asen, playing the tracks

of Bolloywood during the last hours of Sternight was a nice experience. Everyone

had a great time synchronizing with the music.

Registrations

Repertus 2K16 witnessed a large number of participation from all over Gujarat.

Over 350 students had registered for Repertus 2K16. Competitions, Workshops

and Insights (Confluence, Infra-Talk, IdExpo, Thinké – Posté and Exhibitio ns)

attracted a huge number of participation. Students came from different places of

Gujarat mainly from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. A considerable amount of

participation was also from Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Anand, Nadiad, Modasa and

Valsad. Not only students but faculties from many colleges and ITI were

fascinated by confluence and exhibitions. This clearly shows the enthusiasm of

students from various colleges towards Repertus 2K16.

Publicity Response

Repertus has started its journey with great pick up speed. Every working person

is the only reason for this success. Publicity department would like to give its

work brief.

Repertus 2K16 was publicized in 100 different collages from Gujrat. Around 200

IITRAM students actively took part for publicizing event in these collages, which

resulted 250 participants registered. Publicity duration was 29th February, 2016

to 29th March, 2016. Online portal was also facilitate through official website of

Repertus. Around 50 students registered through this way. Repertus 2k16 event

registered as a page and event on social website Facebook for the publicity

purpose. There was campus ambassador scheme also introduced. Workshops

were partially having good response than competition and insight.

Repertus 2k17 is on its way and Publicity department should think and work

more effectively on duration, social way of publicity and CA scheme. All insight

should be given equal respect regarding publicity.
