DAILY NUMBER FLUENCY: 5-10min 1. Counting practice: Use Hundreds Chart sheet or Interactive Splat Square (1-100) on Primary Games website (link at end of plan) to practice counting

aloud: By 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s forwards/backwards, starting/finishing on different numbers. e.g. count 19-51; then 100-50 etc.

2. Number facts: Practice recalling (or writing) addition/subtraction facts, such as: addition to 10 (e.g. 4+6=10, 2+8=10; 1+9=10 etc.)

Give yourself a time limit if you want an extra challenge! (e.g. 2, 5, or 10

minutes). Can you solve what the 7-letter word is?

● Rocket Spelling: (Just like at school!). Choose one word from your Take

Home Reader Word Lists that you find tricky to spell! Next, set a timer

for 2 minutes and write the word as many times as you can in your Home

Learning book in grey lead pencil. How many times did you write it

correctly? See if you can beat this number next time! Extra: write a

sentence using your chosen word.

Reading: Choose an activity from the Reading Activity Grid sheet to complete

about the book you just read.

Writing:

● April Writing Grid sheet: choose an activity to complete

● ‘Free choice’ writing, writing about whatever you like!

● Handwriting practice (tracing the letter sheet from last

week in another colour; or copying it into your work book using the

dotted-third lines to guide you.)

● Write a letter to someone, saying thank you, or that you miss them

● Help mum/dad/nan to write a shopping list

Maths:

seconds!), then the next day, and the next day, and so on…

**CHALLENGE!!! Can you sustain reading for 20 MINUTES?

See if you can slowly build up to 20 mins (or more) over the coming weeks!
