Start your new little one off right by teaching him/her to love books and to love to be read to! The Friends have purchased Books for Babies kits which are available at the library for anyone in the community who has a

child born or adopted into their family!

Recently the Friends sponsored the Silly Safari program to kick off the Summer Reading Program! Several excited children saw a tarantula, an owl, a snake, a rabbit, a kinkajou, and many other interesting creatures

as they signed up for a fun summer of reading!

Speaking of the Summer Reading program, 94 children and 26 teens signed up this year and earned some great prizes sponsored by the

Friends. Good job with your reading this summer, everyone!

Our annual Used Book Sale was a great success this summer! We raised over $1100 for the library! Thanks so much to all of our members and

supporters who donated so generously!

Our next meeting is Monday, September 25, 2017 at 7pm at the library. We will be discussing how to best use the funds we’ve raised for the li-

brary. Hope to see you there!
