religions have no monopoly of the sacred

Religion has no monopoly of the sacred We all have the right to a full moon This rapture is our birthright Such is the splendour of our dwelling-place It’s glory reaches even unto the skies No-one can stop us seeing The reckless extravagance of a sunset No-one can close our ears To what the small birds are saying And the windy rhetoric of trees Only we can do that By closing ourselves up In small rooms in big cities And looking for salvation elsewhere. DESCRIPTION

We are starving to death in a world filled to overflowing with abundant food and seek man-made solutions that only increase our hunger for nourishment. How did we so cut ourselves off from the Source of Being? The answer lies all around us, but we have forgotten who we are and what we really need to survive.(from THE NEW ORDER by E. J. Ward)

Page 1: Religions Have No Monopoly of the Sacred

Religion has no monopoly of the sacredWe all have the right to a full moonThis rapture is our birthrightSuch is the splendour of our dwelling-placeIt’s glory reaches even unto the skies

No-one can stop us seeingThe reckless extravagance of a sunsetNo-one can close our earsTo what the small birds are sayingAnd the windy rhetoric of trees

Only we can do thatBy closing ourselves up In small rooms in big citiesAnd looking for salvation elsewhere.
