In French, as in English, many verbs are often followed by an infinitive. Some of those verbs are vouloir, devoir, and pouvoir.◦ Je dois finir mes devoirs.
Use the verb aller with an infinitive to indicate that something is going to happen.◦ Je vais étudier les arts plastiques cette année.
Use the verb venir (followed by de) with an infinitive to indicate that something just happened.◦ Caroline vient de partir en vacances.
