HS TRACK: Phil Tochelli Junior High ChampionshipsWestern Wayne and Abington Heights won girls team titles, while Lakelandand North Pocono claimed boys crowns Monday at the Phil Tochelli JuniorHigh Championship meet.
Western Wayne had athletes win six individual events and three relays inClass AA to score 198 points and outdistance Lakeland, which had 127.
Elizabeth Pulice won the 100meter dash and the 200, Annie Skirpan won the1,600, Trina Barcarola won the 400, Samantha Atcavage took the 300hurdles, Paige Barillo won the 3,200, and the Lady ’Cats won the 3,200, 400,and 1600 relays.
Sara Wanat won the triple and high jumps, and Mikayla Marino won the shotput and discus to lead Lakeland.
In Class AAA, Calista Marzolino won the 100 hurdles, triple jump and highjump, Jill Bird won the shot, Natalie Kontz won the discus, and the 1,600relay team won for teamchampion Abington Heights, which scored 108points.
Scranton’s Kyahni Harbin was a multipleevent winner, taking the 100 and200.

Logan Bednash won the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles, Tyler Prudente won the 400, Sam Morgan won the 800, Wes Strongwon the discus and the 1,600 relay team won to lead Lakeland, which captured the Class AA title with 126 points.
Dunmore’s Rodo Brown won the 100, 200 and long jump.
In Class AAA, champion North Pocono, which scored 111½ points, got wins from Adam Gear (110, 300 hurdles), DakotaMartin (shot), Alec Ciaglia (high) and also won the 3,200 relay.
Valley View’s Seth Vernon won the 100 and 200, Wallenpaupack’s Tyler Wirth won the 1,600 and 800.
