St. Michael’s Catholic School 208 N McLeod Cuero, TX 77954 361-277-3854 www.stmschoolcuero.org NEWSLETTER March 6, 2020 REGISTRATION HAS BEGUN FOR 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR—NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS V Prayer for the month of March: The Act Contrition V Virtues for the month of March: Acceptance and Wisdom V Commandment for the month of March: “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” V Saint for the month of March: St. Gertrude of Nivelles Events for the Week of 3/9/20: • First Reconciliation Retreat for our 2 nd Grade Students, Sunday, 3/8/20 from 9:00 to 1:00. • First Reconciliation, Tuesday, 3/10/20. • PSIA Campus Meet, Tuesday, 3/10/20. • Jesus and Me, Early Childhood Awareness Day, (for children age 0 to 4), Wednesday, 3/11/20, 9:00am to 11:00am. • Rosary is prayed every Tuesday at 11:15am in the church. Everyone is invited. • Mass on Friday, 3/13/20—3rd Grade is Reading. Cadan (lead server), Lily and Evan are altar serving. • Stations of the Cross, every Friday of Lent (except during Spring Break) led by the students at 11:15am in STM church. All are invited. Upcoming Important Dates: • Spring Break is 3/16/20 through 3/20/20 • Safe Environment Training, 3/24/20, 6:00pm. • Children’s Mass, Sunday, 3/29/20, at 10:00am at St. Michael’s Church. All Choir is singing. • Spaghetti Dinner is 3/29/20. All Choir is singing and 6 th graders are working. • PSIA District Meet in New Braunfels is Saturday, 4/4/20. • Easter Holidays are Early Release on 4/9/20, no school on 4/10/20 and 4/13/20. • Golf Tournament is 4/18/20. • First Communion Retreat, Sunday, 4/26/20, 9:00 to 1:00. • First Communion, Sunday, 5/3/20, 10:00am St. Michael’s Church. • Choir Concert is 5/6/20. • Science Fair is 5/14/20. • Grandparents Day is 5/15/20. • Last Day of School is 5/22/20.
