Be entertained as we unravel unusual and often controversial incidents and events we never learned in high school.Coffee and cake included.Tuesday, May 7 • 10:30am - 12 Noon

However, in a fascinating and not so subtle way, her personal life became as melodramatic as any of her lurid films, including the killing of her lover, mobster Johnny Stompanato, by her teenage daughter. We will take a look at sultry Lana on the silver screen and in the tabloid headlines. Bagel breakfast included.Thursday, June 27 • 10:30am - 12 Noon

A Clash of Giants: Moses vs. SocratesInstructor: Yossi Afek, Jewish EducatorMoses brought us faith that defies questioning, while Socrates brought us questioning that defies faith. In that clash that started with the invasion of Alexander the Great conquering all the Mediterranean countries, including Israel, Socrates was the initial winner. Then, with the ascent of Christianity, Moses and Faith had the upper hand, ensuring that the dark ages would come rushing in. It took 1,000 years for Socrates to regain the upper hand, and a new era of reason came about: The Renaissance, the enlightenment, modern science, etc. Come study with us and gain insight into these two giants.6 Thursdays • 10:30 - 11:45amMay 23, 30, June 6, 13, 20, 27
