Share Lent Pilgrimage— Solidarity Sunday
Today is Solidarity Sunday. Pope Francis reminds us that land labour and lodging are at the core of human dignity. In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, the practice of pilgrimage holds a special place as it opens our hearts to compassion and love. As we embark on this pilgrimage of solidarity, let us fill our hearts with compassion and love for those who are seeking dignity: a roof over their heads, work to provide for their families and land to live on and grow their food. In solidarity, let us Create a Climate of Change within our hearts to transform our lives so that our sisters and brothers can live in dignity.
ANNUAL Development & Peace STONE SOUP EVENT is this Sunday
following the 10:30 am. Mass. Everyone is invited to join us this Sunday for nourishment of soul, mind
and body. Come experience the moral of the Stone Soup story … if everyone shared the little they have, there would be enough for everyone to eat. This applies all the way across the board to all the necessities of life. Throw something in the global pot and see for yourself!
CWL NEWS ….

Pope Francis’ Five Finger Prayer (Week 5)
And finally we have our smallest finger, the smallest of all. Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. When you are done praying
for the other four groups, you will be able to see your own needs but in the proper perspective, and also you will be able to pray for your
own needs in a better way.
Did you know….
In 2013 at Holy Thursday Mass, Pope Francis washed the feet of twelve inmates at Rome’s Rebibbia prison. In his homily he said: “I, too, have the need to be cleansed by the Lord, so please, during this Mass, pray for me.”
How do YOU wash the feet of those who need care and consolation?
THE SHARE LENT COLLECTION for Development & Peace will be taken up in our parishes on Good Friday, March 25th. Your generous solidarity is vital to the mission of Development & Peace and our ability to help, respect, and promote the poor.
