, NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 21st May, 2020
S.O. 1571(E). —Whereas, it appears to the Central Government that it is necessary in the
public interest that for the uninterrupted transportation of crude oil from Paradip (Odisha) to
Haldia Refinery & Barauni Refinery and for restoration of pipeline health condition, initial 8Km
section of PHBPL pipeline should be replaced/ re-routed by Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
And whereas, it appears to the Central Government that for the purpose of re-routing the
said pipeline, it is necessary to acquire the new right of user in the land described in the schedule
annexed to this notification;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub section (1) of section 3 of the
Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in land ) Act, 1962 (50 of 1962),
the Central Government hereby declares its intention to acquire the right of user therein;
Any person interested in the land described in the said schedule may, within twenty–one
days from the date on which the copies of this notification, as published in the Gazette of India,
[ II— 3(ii)] : 3
are made available to the General Public, object in writing to the acquisition of the right of user
therein or laying of the pipeline under the land to Shri Sanatan Mallik, Office of the Competent
Authority, Paradip Somnathpur Haldia Pipeline Project, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Pipelines
Division), Quarter No.MC-103 PPT Colony, Madhuban, Paradip, Odisha-754142.
