Colin Brown, Assistant Conductor

Bobby Kunkle, Pianist

Founded in 1946, the Omaha Symphonic Chorus boasts a long tradition of choral ex-

cellence. From its inception, OSC's goal has been the presentation of highly diverse

choral music to the Omaha community. Concert offerings range from the serious clas-

sics of Beethoven and Bach, to the family friendly “Storybook Songs”, to the multi-

cultural retrospective “E Pluribus, Omaha.”

The 100 voice ensemble draws experienced singers from the metropolitan area and

surrounding communities. Its singers come from all walks of life and are selected an-

nually by audition. Under the leadership of Dr. Greg Zielke, the Omaha Symphonic

Chorus performs 3 to 5 concerts per year. A typical season is a mix of OSC-produced

concerts and collaborations with other musical organizations. Over the years, the

Chorus has appeared numerous times with the Omaha Symphony in its Chamber,

Pops, and Masterworks series, performing some of the world's best loved music for

large chorus and orchestra.
