Succession Planning
In 2016, more than 50% of the presidents of colleges that award associate degrees reported that they anticipated stepping
down within the next five years, yet only 21.2% of these colleges report having a
succession plan in place. (AACC)
What is leadership?
What is the difference between leadership and management?
Servant Leadership
• The phrase “servant leadership” was coined by Robert K. Greenleaf in 1970.
• A servant-leader focuses primarily on the growth and well-being of people and the communities to which they belong.
• While traditional leadership generally involves the accumulation and exercise of power by one at the “top of the pyramid,” servant leadership is different
