Community College Foundation is a Supplemental Educational Services (SES) provider that provides one-onone tutoring services to students grades K-12 in Mathematics and Language Arts. Information provided by the school district, parent, and results from a pre-assessment administered during the first session will be used to develop a personalized learning plan for each student. The learning plan will contain specific goals derived from the Common Core State Standards to help the student build upon their skills to achieve grade level proficiency. Using educational materials from the Houghton Mifflin Company, tutors will cater instruction to meet the academic needs and learning styles of each individual student. Tutors provide daily verbal reports to parents and monthly written reports in order to keep parents informed about the tutoring process and encourage their involvement. If students complete all hours of the program, they will get a free Android Tablet and 50 additional hours of online tutoring for FREE to use within a year. Brain Hurricane uses engaging, interactive, ONLINE adaptive activities and lessons to teach math and reading to K-8 students in a FUN way! All activities are aligned to Common Core and CA State Standards. Students are then lead through a tryout, lesson, practice, remediation, game, and quest for each tutoring block of time (ranging from 1 to 3 hours per session). Parents can login and see, in real time, the progress their child is making.

THE LEARNING CURVE
The Learning Curve helps with reading (phonics, vocabulary, reading comprehension), writing, math (basic math, word problems, algebra) in small classes of 3 students maximum or as few as 1:1. Tutoring is done at the library or home. Our instruction is live, not computerized. We can also help with homework. Ayudamos a leer (fonéticas, vocabulario, comprensión), escribir y matemáticas (matemáticas básica, problemas de palabras, álgebra) en grupos pequeños hasta 3 estudiantes o solamente, grupos menores de 1:1.
