TEXT Quinsy Gario QUINSY GARIO is an award-winning performance poet and visual artist from the Dutch Carib- bean. His work

centres on unsettling colonial practices and how they're normalized in everday culture. Gario is a graduate of

the Master Artistic Research programme of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, a 2017–2018 BAK Fellow and

a member of the collective Family Connection.
