May is National Foster Care Month. Please take some time this week to pray for the children, families, social workers, and various nonprofits across Richmond working with vulnerable children and families. LIFESONG FOR ORPHANS We are also excited to partner with Lifesong, an organization that helps families in the church overcome the financial barrier to adoption. We now have an Adoption Fund through Lifesong that you can give to directly to help members of Redemption Hill fund their adoptions. All donations to Lifesong are tax-deductible. Redemption Hill
The elders of Redemption Hill have recently approved a process for identifying and installing deacons who will serve in areas of need that will most impact and serve our Northside congregation. We are excited to see how God will use this to continue to grow and deepen Redemption Hill Church. We ask and that you would prayerfully consider the following roles for any member you believe would serve well in that role: Deacon of Assimilation, Deacon of Events, Deacon of Marriage Coaching, Deacon of Mercy Ministry, Deacon of Sunday Hospitality, Deacon of Sunday Services. If you know a man or woman who is a member of Redemption Hill, and would serve well in one of these roles, you can submit your nomination(s) to [email protected].

Prayer for Those Searching for Truth: Jesus, you claim to be the way, the truth, and the life. Help me not to be scared off by the cost of following you as I consider the reasons for doing so. If what you claim is true, please guide me, teach me, and open me to the reality of who you are. Give me an understanding of you that is convincing and that leads to the life you promise. Amen. Prayer of Belief: Lord Jesus Christ, I admit that I am weaker and more sinful than I ever dared confess, but through you I am more loved and accepted than I ever dared hope. I thank you for paying my debt on the cross, taking what I deserved in order to offer me complete forgiveness. Knowing that you have been raised from the dead, I turn from my sins and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Amen.
