Principal’s Report: I.N.O.K.T.B.A:
Later this week, 103 students
from Prep to Grade 6 will
receive an invitation to
participate in a free Pizza
Lunch on Thursday 30th July
to celebrate their fantastic
attendance throughout first
semester this year.
All 103 students achieved at
least 96% attendance (four
days absence or less). 29
students attended school every
day for the semester. Grade
3/4L had the best grade
attendance with 65% of the
class missing only 4 days or
less for the semester.
I do apologise to the many
students who just missed out
on receiving an invitation to
the Pizza Lunch but we must
be firm with our expected
attendance standard.
Students who achieve 96%
attendance or better for the
entire year will be invited to
participate in a free trip to the
Mildura Aquacoaster in the
last week of the school year.
Royal Flying Doctors Mobile
Dental Care Program: A team of volunteer dentists
and dentistry students from the
Royal Flying Doctors Mobile
Dental Care Program will be
visiting Red Cliffs Primary
School on Wednesday 5th
August to offer dental
examinations and oral health
education to our students.
Parents wanting their children
to participate in this free care
program should complete and
return the consent forms as
soon as possible.
*Consent forms were sent
home with individual students
today.
Parent Opinion Survey:
Each year our school conducts
an opinion survey of 15% of
the school community.
40 randomly selected parents
will soon receive their survey.
The survey takes about 20
minutes to complete.
Our school values parent
opinion. Parent views do help
to change the way we do
things.
Parents who receive a survey
are asked to return the
completed survey as soon as
possible.
Mr Beer’s Reading
Challenge: Light up August with Mr
Beer’s Reading Challenge.
Mr Beer is setting a challenge for
reading during August.
All infant students must read 10
books (not counting their take
home readers). Students in grades
3-6 must read 15 books in the
month (which includes some
F.A.B. books).
All students will soon receive a
booklet to fill out from their
teachers.
This year there is a super
challenge on the back of the
booklet.
Parents do need to sign off on
their children’s reading.
It would be fantastic to have
100% of our students
participating in and succeeding in
our challenge this year.
Get ready to read!

Book Week:
Book Week 2015 starts on
Monday 24th August. The theme
for this year is “Books Light Up
Our World”.
Red Cliffs Primary School will be
having a Book Week parade and
related activities on Wednesday
26th August.
Start thinking about your
costumes early kids…
Have a great week.

Head-Lice:
Parents are advised to
regularly check their
children for head-lice.
The policy of regularly
conducting school wide
checks only works if
parents continue to check
their children and then
properly treat any
infestation.
School Photographs: Parents are reminded they
can order duplicate or new
photos from MSP photog-
raphy at any time. Call
them on 03 5881 3436.
School Captain, House
Captain and Junior School
Council photographs can
be ordered from the
office. Cost is $20 per
photo. These photos are
available for viewing in
the office.
The Total Learning Centre is
excited to have expanded their
playgroups to Red Cliffs
Primary School.
This playgroup helps develop
a love of books and
storytelling.
Adults discover the joy of
reading, singing and learning
with their children through
play.
Playgroup is every Monday
from 9:30 – 11:00am
in the OOSH (Out of School
Hours) room.
Healthy snacks provided,
structured activities and loads
of fun!
All children 0-5 welcome!
