All 103 students achieved at least 96% attendance (four days absence or less). 29 students attended school every day for the semester. Grade 3/4L had the best grade attendance with 65% of the class missing only 4 days or less for the semester. I do apologise to the many students who just missed out on receiving an invitation to the Pizza Lunch but we must be firm with our expected attendance standard. Students who achieve 96% attendance or better for the entire year will be invited to participate in a free trip to the Mildura Aquacoaster in the last week of the school year. Royal Flying Doctors Mobile Dental Care Program: A team of volunteer dentists and dentistry students from the Royal Flying Doctors Mobile Dental Care Program will be visiting Red Cliffs Primary School on Wednesday 5th August to offer dental examinations and oral health education to our students. Parents wanting their children to participate in this free care program should complete and return the consent forms as soon as possible. *Consent forms were sent home with individual students today. Parent Opinion Survey: Each year our school conducts an opinion survey of 15% of the school community. 40 randomly selected parents will soon receive their survey. The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete. Our school values parent opinion. Parent views do help to change the way we do things. Parents who receive a survey are asked to return the completed survey as soon as possible. Mr Beer’s Reading Challenge: Light up August with Mr Beer’s Reading Challenge. Mr Beer is setting a challenge for reading during August. All infant students must read 10 books (not counting their take home readers). Students in grades 3-6 must read 15 books in the month (which includes some F.A.B. books). All students will soon receive a booklet to fill out from their teachers. This year there is a super challenge on the back of the booklet. Parents do need to sign off on their children’s reading. It would be fantastic to have 100% of our students participating in and succeeding in our challenge this year. Get ready to read! Later this week, 103 students

from 9:30 – 11:00am

in the OOSH (Out of School
