Why Go Green?• In 2008, Pennsylvania collected

5.48 billion tons of recyclable materials.

• Act 101- Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act, enacted July 1988.

• Pennsylvania became the biggest state to make recycling mandatory.

electronics such as computers, monitors, cell phones, rechargable batteries, televisions and cathode ray tubes (CRT) in an environmentally safe manner.
