Pray for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples that they may know we stand beside them in their struggle for equity. Pray that Australian society and public policy might respect, uphold and protect Indigenous languages. Pray that we might always remember that, as Christians, we are called to seek justice for those in need. Pray that God would grant us wisdom and courage to exercise the responsibility we have to hold our law-makers to account for unjust and discriminatory laws. Pray that our politicians maintain cross-party support for constitutional recognition and demonstrate leadership on this issue as we move toward a referendum.
