• All forms will be submitted online this year• The deadline for Food Show entries will be the
same date as Roundup Registration deadline• Recipe and 4-H State Food Show Entry Form
will be required documents

• Two Parts– Selecting the Recipe – Writing the recipe in the Food Show format
Selecting Your Recipe
• Consider – Theme– Category
• Protein• Fruit & vegetables• Grains• Dairy
– Interview time– Ease of preparation in shared kitchen space– Presentation
Writing Your Recipe
• Ingredient list • Directions in order of ingredient list• No missing steps• Equipment
Writing Your Recipe
• Where do you add – seeded and chopped?
– ¼ cup seeded and chopped jalapenos– 2 jalapenos, seeded and chopped
• How do you write diced and drained canned tomatoes?
– ½ cup canned diced and drained tomatoes– 1 12-ounce can diced tomatoes, drained

Presentation
• Contestants have 3 minutes to introduce their dish, highlight their food and nutrition project, and add other specifics that have made their project a successful one
