Dr Philip Bennett is a highly qualified dental practitioner with 30 years experience of practice management in Hertfordshire, Somerset, Buckinghamshire and London's Harley
Street. His new practice in Lyme Regis represents a return to his West Country roots and he brings with him experience and specialist skills that are unique in the south west
region.
He is well known within the profession for his aesthetic work and has made dental implantology the focus point of his interest. He lectures both nationally and internationally on
the subject. He is also retained by a number of dental implant technology manufacturers as an educator and the practice at Temple House in Lyme Regis's Broad Street has
been designed and equipped as a teaching centre.
Dr Bennett is a European Expert in Dental Implantology, a past President of the Association of Dental Implantology (UK), which is the umbrella organisation for dental implant
work in this country and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He also has a broad experience of curing bite problems and dental related headache
disorders and is in connection with the latter an honorary lecturer to the McTimmony Chiropractic College as well as being a member of many other dental health related
organisations.

‘I had been using the same old physiodispenser for a good many years and found that though it served its function, it was unsophisticated with regard to controlling torque and feedback in the placement of dental implants. Dental implant surgery has now become considerably more varied and the control of the procedure more important than ever before as now we are placing implants under differing circumstances. More implants are placed immediately and more often into grafted sites. I found that my old physiodispenser was designed basically to provide sterile irrigation at differing speeds however torque control and feedback was mostly guess work. I was using it mainly for creating an osteotomy and using manual methods for reaming, tapping and the placement of implants with more of a feel rather than any recorded or indeed measured feedback. In the twenty first century I was using twentieth century technology and I felt that the time had come for me to upgrade.
After researching all the units available on the market I decided to purchase the iChiropro from Bien-Air as it would be capable of dealing with all our implant surgical needs and oral surgery procedures in one unit.
The iChiropro is an iPad controlled device that paves the way for a new generation of implant surgery physiodispensers. It is an innovative solution designed to make the whole process easy and streamlines all the surgical protocols. The iPad application provided with the iChiropro is incredibly simple to use and user friendly and immediately a great favourite of the supporting staff as it took all the guess work out and made the procedure a simple series of steps that were very easy to control and the flow became easy to replicate during every procedure.

He has a special interest in CAD/CAM & Aesthetic Implant dentistry spanning over a 25 years period and is a member of Association of Dental Implantology (U.K.) and Academy of American Aesthetic Dentistry and Implant Dentistry.(USA) Between 1995 and 1997. He completed a two year intensive training in Implant Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute for Dental postgraduate studies and has routinely placed and restored Implant fixtures with CAD/CAM and Cerec restorations over the last 25 years. Present research project being undertaken is in the fabrication of surgical stents using the 3D printing technology using the DIACOM data from CBCT Scanners.
