Our mission: To address immediate survival needs of homeless and working poor
individuals and provide resources which lead to employment, housing, personal stability, and
healing.

Offering a safe place to be during the day Access to meals, clothing, mail, computer and telephone services In 2014 5,557 Case Management interactions
1,580 employment related, 2,206 benefit related, 646 mental health related, 412 medical related 168 Employed : 194 Benefit applications submitted : 356 IDs provided : 1594 bus trips
With the help of Bridge House, I was able to gain access to mental health services, sobriety support, and my prescription medication.

First Presbyterian Annex 1603 Walnut St. Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:00am 3:00pm
Intake and assessment With no appointment necessary, clients meet with trained intake counselors who coordinate initial referrals to over 14 Resource Center partners. On-site service delivery During regularly scheduled hours, staff from our partner organizations meet with clients on an appointment basis to discuss their individual cases and sign them up for services such as mental health treatment. Drop in Employment Services Employment Specialist on site Classes and Groups Bridge House and other organizations provide classes in job skills, money management, and other skills in areas that will lead to more independence.

Bridge House offers two tracks of employment
services
Custom Job Placement Services: clients work with staff to create individualized
employment plans with specific services to their goals. Clients meet with job readiness staff one-on-one, participate in classes or
trainings as needed, fulfill job search plans and more.
Ready to Work: Immediate access to transitional employment. Trainees engage in comprehensive programming combining up
to 29 hours per week of paid work; case management; financial management;
sobriety support; job readiness training; and mentoring. RTW is a 9 to 12 month program
leading to mainstream employment.

Importance of the Internship
Allows us to get to know the person.
Identify potential areas of growth for the intern.
Develop an individualized plan to help them be successful in Ready to Work and beyond.
Individualized plan can include addressing behavioral health, medical, financial, and social skills issues.
Gives people a chance to show their commitment to being part Ready to Work transitional employment & housing.
