Important Instructions
1. Readmission will be made only within the state of Punjab & UT Chandigarh.
2. Student must read the Prospectus (issued in his admission session) carefully before filling this
Form.
3. The student must ensure that he is eligible for the readmission to next semester as per
maximum permissible duration of the course. The detailed eligibility criteria is given in the
Prospectus and also attached at Annexure-I of this Form.
4. Academic Calendar is uploaded at university website. student must follow the schedule/dates
of: Readmission, Personal Contact Program, assignments submission, practical exams & viva
etc. as notified in Academic Calendar.
5. Student must enter his correct mobile no, email id and postal address carefully as the same
will be used by IKGPTU for future correspondence with him.
6. Fee can be submitted in shape of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar IKGPTU and
payable at Jalandhar. Kindly attach the fee DD in original with this form. Write your Roll No,
Course, Semester, mobile number & email id on backside of the DD. For students visiting
IKGPTU campus at Kapurthala fee can also be paid through PoS using Credit/Debit
Card/Digital Wallets etc.
7. Applicable fee can be seen from Fee Chart available at university website and also attached at
Annexure-II of this form.
8. Keep a photocopy of completely filled Readmission Form and the fee DD with you for future
reference.
9. The completely filled and signed Readmission Form along with fee DD shall reach the
university on or before the respective last dates, either in person or through
Registered/Speed Post only (Don’t send through Courier) at following address:

Section 2- Specialization Subjects
(Only for MCA 3rd sem, MBA 3rd sem, MBA 4th sem & M.Com 3rd sem)
1. Student must opt for specialization subjects as per list given in the Prospectus and fill the applicable
Specialization Form attached at Annexure-III.
2. The filled Specialization Form has to be attached with this Readmission Form.
3. Specialization subjects are applicable only for above mentioned courses. For rest of the courses,
students need not fill any Specialization Form.
4. Students must keep a copy of the completely filled Specialization Form also for future reference.
5. Specialization subjects once selected in the Specialization Form shall be deemed as final and any
request for changing the same at a later stage will not be entertained.
Section 3- Personal Contact Program (PCP)
1. University organizes PCP classes only at its own campuses.
2. PCPs will be held in Regular Mode (continuous two week classes at IKGPTU Main Campus
Kapurthala only as well as Weekend Mode (classes on Saturdays & Sundays at other
campuses of IKGPTU)
3. Student can attend the classes including practicals at the respective PCP location as opted in
his Readmission Form.
4. Conduct of Internal & External Practical Examinations/Viva-voce will be held after the PCP
as per schedule notified in the Academic Calendar at the respective PCP locations only. If the
student fails to appear in Internal & External Practical Examinations/Viva-voce, he will be
marked absent in the concerned paper and will earn reappear for the same.
5. The PCP location once selected in Readmission Form will not be changed later for the current
semester.
6. The selected PCP location is applicable for this admission session only.
7. If the student does not fill any choice of PCP location, university will allot any location as it
deems fit. No claim will be entertained later.

Section 4- Examination Centre for semester end theory examinations
1. University conducts the semester end theory examinations at various examination centres
across the state of Punjab. A list of probable examination centre locations is attached at
Annexure-IV.
2. Student must opt for three examination centre locations in order of preference out of the
given list.
3. Although student’s preference will be taken care of, still university reserves the right to
allot a different examination centre if the administrative expediency will so warrant.
4. If the student does not fill any choice of exam centre, university will allot any location as
it deems fit. No claim will be entertained later.
5. University will issue Admit Card to the eligible students for appearing in the semester end
examinations. The allotted examination centre will be reflected on the Admit Card. This
Admit Card will be available online at university website before the commencement of
semester end examinations.
6. No student will be entertained at examination centre without Admit Card.

Guidelines for choosing specialization in MBA Semester 3 & 4
Dear Student
As per the course scheme of MBA (refer Prospectus), we offer five areas of specialization in 3rd & 4th
semester. List of specializations is given below:

In 3rd sem, MBA student has to study 4 specialization subjects along with two general subjects.
Similarly in 4th sem he will study 4 specialization subjects along with two general subjects
There are two modes of choosing specializations. Student has to choose any one from following
modes:
1. Dual Specialization
In this mode, student will opt for two different specializations from above table. For
example say Marketing & Finance.
Now for the 4 specialization subjects in 3rd sem, student will study two compulsory
subjects from Marketing pool & two compulsory subjects from Finance pool.
Similarly for the 4 specialization subjects in 4th sem, student will study two
compulsory subjects from Marketing pool & two compulsory subjects from Finance
pool.
In this way, dual specialization student will study total 4 subjects of Marketing and 4
subjects of Finance in 3rd & 4th sem
2. Super Specialization
In this mode, student will opt for only one specialization out of the given five
specializations. For example, say the student opts for super specialization in
Marketing stream.
Now for the 4 specialization subjects in 3rd sem, student will study two compulsory
subjects from Marketing pool & two optional subjects from Marketing pool.
Similarly for the 4 specialization subjects in 4th sem, student will study two
compulsory subjects from Marketing pool & two optional subjects from Marketing
pool.
In this way, Super Specialization student will study total 8 subjects of Marketing in
3rd & 4th sem
Note: Specialization mode and area of specialization once chosen in 3rd semester
cannot be changed at any later stage. So the students are advised to
carefully decide their specialization mode and area of specialization while
entering the 3rd semester.
