Prefixes re-, pre-, and un-
A prefix is a group of letters added to the beginning of a word to change its meaning. Look at the prefixes re-, pre-, and un-.
re- means again For example, reheat (heat again) and reapply (apply again)
pre- means before For example, prewrite (write before) and prehistoric (before history)
un- means not For example, unable (not able) and unusual (not usual)
Now choose the correct word for each sentence by thinking about what the prefix means and how the word is used in the sentence. For extra help, the meaning of the missing word is given after the sentence.
