Manuals for each building type provide benchmarks for achieving points under each criteria. The manuals are relatively simple and short compared to manuals associated with other green building rating tools. The rating tool has a point system to identify green building achievement. In the certification process, data is entered into an excel spreadsheet with a special calculator known as the submission form. The submission form is sent to the certification client to be filled by their team.

GBC Indonesia is being certified by Ministry of Environment Indonesia as an institution for Green Building Certification. The Indonesian Government have released a Presidential Decree stating that government buildings that apply green building initiatives are eligible for extra funding from the government and categorized as non-‐standard cost.
Tailo
ring There is a process through the Evaluation Assessment Board where the Assessor may scope-‐out points when it is believed the points do not apply.
Summary
A green building assessment and certification scheme based on schemes from other countries, but designed for Indonesia according to Indonesia national regulation, climate and environment characteristics.
Applicable sectors Award types
The Greenship rating system is divided into six areas. The credits provided in brackets are for an end-‐stage assessment of a new building, totalling 101 (+5 bonus) credits:1. Appropriate Site Development -‐ ASD (17 credits)2. Energy Efficiency and Conservation -‐ EEC (26 credits)3. Water Conservation -‐ WAC (21 credits)4. Material Resources & Cycle -‐ MRC (14 credits)5. Indoor Air Health & Comfort -‐ IHC (10 credits)6. Building Environment Management -‐ BEM (13 credits) The Design Recognition award has a maximum of 77 credits (+5 bonus). Compared to the end stage assessment, it has less credits associated with the MRC, IHC and BEM categories. Interior assessments have 93 credits (+4 bonus), where IHC, MRC & EEC have the highest weighting.

Certification levels: Platinum (minimum 73 % achieved points), Gold (minimum 57% ), Silver (minimum 46%), Bronze (minimum 35%) Greenship certificates for new buildings and existing buildings are valid for three years. There are prerequisite criteria in each category that must be met. There are no credits associated with these criteria. Points can be achieved through credit criteria to improve the rating score. Bonus criteria are where extra points can be scored. They are associated with "value-‐added" initiatives that are considered difficult and rare in the field. Each new building registered for GREENSHIP requires a building construction permit and building operation permit from the local government. The certification process normally is summary of the construction process + permit process + six months. As-‐built documents equipped with standard forms issued specifically for the project by GBC Indonesia need to be provided for assessment. The standard form is submission form, made by GBC Indonesia, to calculate points achieved.
Rating & Certification Tool:
Indonesia
GBC Indonesia has established three rating tools there are : GREENSHIP New Building (launched on 17 June 2010), GREENSHIP Existing Building (launched on January 2011) and GREENSHIP Interior Space (launched on April 2012). These rating tools are ready to be used for building certification. As of 30 July 2013, there were three certifications under New Building, three certifications under Existing Building and 30 buildings were listed as a registered project. GREENSHIP Homes is under process to be released in website for online assessment.

Brief project description: The Ministry of Public Work was one of the initial government supporters of the green building movement in Indonesia through GBC Indonesia. Registered as a Pilot Project in 2010, the Ministry of Public Work committed to become the first Government building as GREENSHIP certified. It is expected that after the building is certified, it will open the door for other government buildings to be GREENSHIP certified.
Registration involves a required donation of Rp 5,000,000. Certification fees vary between building type (office buildings are approximately 10% less than commercial/hospitality/healthcare). Example costs: Small office building: 2,500 to 30,000 m2 = Rp 75,000,000. Large office building: >100,000m2 = Rp. 150,000,000 (plus extra expenses likely). It is suggested that the process should be aided by a Greenship registered professional (fees not included in standard certification fee).
