RC Holy Spirit will be applying to participate in one of thefour pilot programs approved by the Rotary InternationalBoard last November: the Associate Membership PilotProgram. Last Saturday, January 15, was both a fulfilling and fun-filled day forRCHS and its newly-organized partner, the Rotaract Club of HolySpirit. With some 50 seedlings of fire tree, caballero, guijo, and other

species with them, the two groups proceeded to Barangay Calawis atthe foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountain range in Antipolo to planttrees in an area that has been experiencing soil erosion. It was thefirst service activity of the Rotaractors led by President JamesLorenzo. RCHS is committed to fight global warming by planting moretrees. In the near future, as Pres Dodgie says, with District support,we hope to start re-foresting the badly eroded mountains of theMarikina watershed.
