This is the call of the moment to excel in all fields. Scholastic, no doubt plays an important role in the students' life but co-scholastic adds flavour to it. Now sports has been recognized and valued by all educational institutions, NDTV 24*7 had launched a drive on it to tell the importance of sports in a child's life. We have not left a single stone unturned to make our students reach the zenith, they had got their presence marked in various sports activities for this 2013 – 14 session. Kudos to all those who have been mentioned and for those also who have not been mentioned but are on their way to be get mentioned. There are many more who cannot be quoted here but along with the above said these students have left their foot prints on diverse turfs to be travelled by others.

The brain stem connects the brain with the spinal cord. It is also the part of the brain where the vital functions occur. The lowest part of the brain is located in the brain stem, The Medulla Oblongata. Directly above the Medulla Oblongata are the Pons. The Pons are the band of nerves that connect the cerebrum, the cerebellum and the Medulla Oblongata. TheMedulla Oblongata is in the middle of the brain and controls breathing.

People pray for a boy, but they don’t want a girl.They desire a boy,but not a girl,Blessing from elderly is only for male,Not for female,They wish to have a boy,Not a girl.

Why not a GIRL - Priyanka Agarwal (X)

Water-Water Everywhere - Dimple Nagwani (VIII)

Water-Water everywhere, not a drop to drink,I feel it’s high time for all of us to think.Water scarcity can lead to drought,Imagine it will be so hot,No water, no flowers to bloom,Everyone will be in such a gloom.

Let’s be practical,Let’s make some plans,Let’s do somethingBefore water is already over in the damWater-Water everywhere, not a drop to drink,I feel it’s high time for all of us to think.

In need of gold, they pray to Goddess Lakshmi,In need of courage, they pray to Goddess Durga,In need of education, they pray to Goddess Sarswati.

Then why not a girl,Why they hesitate,To have girl in the family?

I happened to see a dream, where I saw a dreamful future,There were no traders, no fairs, All because of the pollutant air.

Do not litter anywhere,Make your neighbours also awareDo not pollute water,Do not pollute the lakes and the rivers.

Once and for all stop it,And let the guiding flame alight,Then thinking of futurewill not bring a scream,And no longer will there beFearful dreams.

There’s no gain in cursing the fate, but check yourself and Do not throw the polythene around,Do not dirty the children playground.

A smile is infectiousYou can catch it like fly,A smile affects youAnd infects you a lot than anything may do.A stranger smiled at me today,Then I started smiling too. Then someone saw me smile todayAnd he started smiling too. That's when I realizedIt was I who had passed it on to him.Now I know if someone sees his smileWill surely return his smile. And so the chain will go on and onon and on ........................................Yes, I realize the worth of a smile,As a single smile can spreadMany smiles making the hearts one.So, wherever you feel a smile comingJust smile on and let it spreadAround every nook and corner,As it spreads joy and happinessBecause every smile travels miles.

The things I've seen will scar me for life,Growing up I've seen wrong & very little of night,I hear a sad song & tears roll down my face,I looked in the mirror & feel so out of place,I don't want to become something larger than life,I want to become something real & so right,Do they understand am I understood, Can they be better I wish that it could,Before I make a decision I always think twice,They say what can I do to help you feel betterI say nothing because this is my life.

Our aim is to learn,The wealth of knowledge that we earn,The only way for the welfare of man.

Brighton - Niharika Singh (VIII)

Student life is the most important period of our life. The potter makes various things. Our mind can also be shaped in different ways. At school, our teachers take good care of us. If we receive good training during our student life, we will be good citizens in our future life. We must make good use of the training we receive during our student life. If we become men and women of character, people will love us. A boy of bad character cannot become a great man. We must learn discipline. Strict discipline at school is very beneficial. Student life is the best part of a person’s life. At this time our main work is to study and play. As students, we are free from responsibilities and anxieties. If we perform our duties well, we shall be very happy and successful in future.

Let’s Learn SUDAKO

The modern Sudoku was most likely designed anonymously by HowardGarns, a 74-year-old retired architect and freelance puzzle constructor from Connersville, Indiana, USA and first published in 1979 by Dell Magazines as Number Place. The puzzle was introduced in Japan by Puzzle making company Nikoli in the paper Monthly Nikolist in April 1984. The British Newpaper ‘Times’ of London began featuring Sudoku in2004 and it became an international hit. - Sudoku is played over a 9x9 grid, divided to 3x3 sub grids called "regions". Sudoku begins with some of the grid cells already filled with numbers.
