Usually when the tea shop neighbors have free time or sometime when they are not working they like to sit under a giant tree when there is shelter. They play these games called Burmese checkers. It is a very common game in Myanmar. People really like to play it!

The common food we eat and they eat are rice. People always eat rice in Myanmar. They would boil the rice until the water is completely dry. They would cook some vegetables and meat to eat and taste with their rice. Eating just rice has no taste so to put some flavors to it, they cook meals.

Some of people living there have their own little shop; it could be a tea shop or betel nut shop or juice shop. Many Burmese people like to chew betel nut. They work really hard and it is really diffecult to open like these kinds of shops.

All of the people and families have their own cozy and comfortable houses. Some connected their houses with the shops and some have their one and only original house and own a shop.

Some people have more than one business, some people also drives a trishaw and owns a tea shop. Trishaws a very common in Burma. But it is very unique and uncommon for a woman to drive a trishaw.

Usually in weekends and holidays kids from the tea shops plays outside and have fun playing with friends or brothers or sisters. Because that’s the only free time they have. Other days they have to go to school and learn like us.

They also have a hygienic place such as toilets and bathrooms. But there’s only one toilet and one bathroom so they share among each other. Some people take showers late in the night when everybody is asleep, or early in the morning to refresh their bodies or in the afternoon or in the evening.

Like I said before some have a big tea shops like this one. Some have small tea shops. It depends on how big they want to build it. It is said that bigger tea shops have more types of food and big meals like the one you eat for breakfast or lunch or probably not dinner. Tea shops are the best place for Burmese people to hang out and have some drink and have some meals when you are hungry.
