INTRODUCTION
RapidKL, is a government – owned company which was formed in 2004.
It operates an integrated public transport system comprising Bus, Monorail and LRT services.
The largest stage bus route and the feeder bus service in Kuala Lumpur .
Single line of the KL Monorail as a part of transit route inside the capital city.

KELANA JAYA LINE Was officially changed
from Putra line to Kelana Jaya Line in July 2005.
The line is currently owned by(SPNB) and operated by rapid kl.
With 24 stations and a route distance of 29 km

ATTRIBUTES The system consists of centralized control centre, fully
automated driverless trains, minimum 90-second headway.
Can accommodate 400 passengers per 2-car train with the average speed of 40 kph.
There are thirty five (35) 2-car trains and ten (10) 4-car trains with an average ridership of 165,000 per day.
Maintenance is carried out from 1.00am until 4.30am.

CONT. ATTRIBUTES Line lies in its five (5) underground stations with the distance of 4.36km
twin independent bore.
There are two (2) tunnels with an internal diameter of 4.88m and the distance between two tunnels is 5m.
There are a lot of safety features in this system such as CCTV, Stop Button, Evacuation shaft, Zones, Fire Protection system, covered power rail, etc.
the work of the extended line commenced by final quarter of 2010 and is targeted to be completed by 2013.

FARES
Fares has been settled on the stations according the distance travel.
The Kelana Jaya Line has a minimum fare of RM 0.70 and the maximum fare of RM 2.50.

AMPANG LINE Was known as STAR line
formerly.
Line consists of double track route with a total length of 27 km.
Transit includes 25 stations.

ATTRIBUTES There is a Control Centre for the whole Ampang
Line situated at Ampang Station.
All train operations are under SCADA systems.
There is also a Fixed Block Automatic Signaling System for vehicle movement.

CONT. ATTRIBUTES The operating hours are from 6.00am until
midnight whilst maintenance is carried out from 1.00am until 4.30am.
There are twenty five (25) trains rolling on the track, each consisting of 6 cars.
the average ridership is only 130,000 per day.

Peak hours in the morning and the evening is supported with extra trains to make the travel easier for the passengers.

FARES
The fare for Ampang Line has a minimum of RM 0.70 and a maximum of RM 2.80, which is RM 0.30 more than the Kelana Jaya Line.

DEPOT OF RAPID KL RAIL SYSTEM The service depot and primary train
depot is at Ampang. There is a secondary train depot at Sri Petaling.

KL MONORAIL
The KL Monorail, completed at a cost of RM 1.2 billion, is owned by Syarikat Prasarana Negara.
There are 11 monorail stations in the 8.6 km Kuala Lumpur Monorail route with two parallel elevated tracks.

ATTRIBUTES
It has twelve (12) 2-car trains running on a 8.6km track with 11 stations in total.
The average daily ridership is 57,000 in 2009 and approximately 65,000 in 2011.
The Kuala Lumpur Monorail Line system consists of a single dual-way line that linked the inner areas of Kuala Lumpur.

FUTURE WORK EXTENTION The overall route of new line starting from Sri
Petaling and Kelana Jaya, both converging at Putra Heights.
There is also a proposed new line from Sg Buloh
to Kajang across the Central Business District (CBD) of Kuala Lumpur which is envisaged to be completed by 2020.

RAPID KL BUSES Is the largest bus operator in the
Klang Valley.
RapidKL buses services 6 key areas of the Klang Valley with a total of 165 routes.
It provides 5 types of bus services to the commuter, namely Tempatan , Utama, Bandar and Ekspres.

ATTRIBUTES The Bus service covers 6 major areas in Klang Valley
serving an average of 280,000 passengers daily.
The fleet consists of 1091 buses maintained by 10 bus depots and the network covers more than 980 residential areas compared to the 638 before..
The 15 buses will be operated for Melaka area in a few months according MOU which signed in 4th March 2012, as an interim measure to the demand.

CONT. ATTRIBUTES More buses added to the fleet and operation times have been
increased to a whopping 18.5 hours (5.30am to 12 midnight).
At 31 December 2011, up to 4.04 million more passengers used the RapidKL bus service in comparison to the preceding year.
The new Pudu Sentral( buduraya ) reopened to the public in April 2011 and now offers modern world-class facilities.
