Pc power supply

A power supply is the component that supplies power to a computer.

Some power supplies have a switch to change between 230 Volt and 115 Volt. Other models have automatic sensors that switch input voltage automatically, or are able to accept any voltage between those limits

The top cover has been removed to show the internals of a computer power point Unit.

Types of power supply systems

Power supply systems are not just install on computers, There are many different types of power supply system that are in computers, video games, some in radios and even on the machines used to predict weather because our main work

Why the power supply goes down?

When you start adding lots of features to your PC (more drives, trying better video, and so on), they all require more power. And anyone even an idiot knows that more power means more heat to displace. With that in mind, make sure you don’t waste power on needless features

What's the risk of damage?

It is very low, unless a short circuit occurs cause by water, over heating ,and etc

Power supply systems have a Risk of equipment damage.

ATX switched-mode Interior view of an Advanced Technology extended to switched-mode power supply:

A - bridge rectifier : Provides polarity of output voltage

B - Input filter capacitors: A pair of conductors separated by a dielectric

C – Transformer : transfers electrical energy from one circuit to another through inductively

D - output filter coil: solid copper wire wound around the core

E - output filter capacitors

what power supply do I need?

a power supply with enough power shouldn’t be much of a problem, as having more power than you need is never a bad thing. Just because a power supply is rated for really high watts or volts , does not imply that it is drawing that at any given time. It just indicates the total power available to the various lines inside the computer.
